    Bang Bang Shrimp Appetizer
    Anthony B.

My visit to Bonefish Grill on Thursday 10-23-2025 was ok, nothing spectacular. Because I was dining alone, I sat at the bar. The bar tenders were friendly, quick and attentive to my needs and the needs of the other customers sitting at the bar. I enjoyed a couple of ice-cold Bud Light bottled beers while I watched Thursday night football on one of the two TVs behind the bar. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer to start. The shrimps were very good, served hot, crispy with a touch of crunch, and covered with the sweet chili and mayonnaise sauce and spices and served on a bed of lettuce. There were so many shrimps piled high on this small dish, I was full and could not eat anything else. There were 15 - 20 medium size perfectly cooked shrimp. Selection is great whether a full entree or an assortment of appetizers, salad, soup, or sides to complement the Wednesday special of Bang Bang shrimp at $7.00. Definitely fresh and delicious. Great service with attentive servers. Fun to sit by the bar, people watch, watch sports, or meet new friends. This is a local spot for sure.

We decided to come to Bonefish because of their world famous Bang Bang Shrimp special on Wednesday and it did not disappoint!!! We met our server Jordan who provided us with excellent service and good vibes!! We also ordered the side Cesar Salad - Potato au Gratin - and the Beef & Ginger Potstickers. To help wash this down we had the Coconut Crush and Paper Plane cocktails which were very good. All the food was good except for the au gratin which was not exactly what was in our mind (Not your typical au gratin potato dish) Anyway an overall good experience and we will be back!!

Food is always consistent. For a chain it is 'spot on'. Service is great. They surely follow their training. Nice decor. Good for a single , a couple or even a small private party.

We did the monthly 4 course experience and it was AMAZING! We first learned about these monthly 4 course dinners by getting invited to their Merry Martini Christmas dinner a couple years ago. The value was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating to my wife, baby and I, and the food was incredible!

Tried Bonefish Grill for the first time. The fish was delicious, and the fish and chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service was not great--staff came off as rude and unwelcoming. Great food, but the experience was overshadowed by poor service.

The food was amazing it's like you're in heaven!!!!!!Maxine was so pretty and kind! Thank you!!

Good seafood After reading some of the other reviews after the fact I think we were lucky, our arrival last night for dinner without reservations was not a problem and we were seated right away. Overall we had a very good visit. Service was friendly, our primary server quite knowledgeable as my wife asked several questions. I say primary server because we had other people also stop by checking on us, always cheerful, wanting our visit to be great. I have been missing out on pasta over the last year so I was pleased to see a dish named Bonefish Signature Pasta, linguine where you can add a protein. I selected Scallops, after all I'm in a seafood restaurant. Bonefish does offer more than just seafood, but they do have a fish in their name. I also like trying dishes that sound like something special offered by the restaurant. What sauce it had was thin, I'd rate that part of my food about average. The scallops were very fresh and flavorful. My wife had their Trout and pronounced it excellent. They definitely did good with the seafood.

Zeph the waiter was awesome. Happy hour is every day now. Even on the weekends. Ends at 6:30pm. We stopped going for a while because of poor food quality, but this time was pretty good. See pics. Kung Poa Brussel sprouts were especially good.

We ate here on Dec 3 about 3:30 pm. The food was great. Service was polite and friendly. However, the receptionist was cold and unfriendly...we almost left before seating. Perhaps she should have customer friendly training?

I would agree. Hostesses are mediocre to lame, bartenders awesome.

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! Shout out to all of the great staff members at Dry Dock -we've never had a bad experience. I love Dry Dock and it will forever stay in my Sarasota rotation.

The outdoor Tiki area wrapped around the building and had a fun, relaxed vibe that made a great first impression. Our waitress, Rhonda, was excellent. She was friendly, answered all our questions, and knew the menu inside and out. What We Ordered: * Clam Chowder * Lobster Bisque * Maine Lobster Dinner with Corn on the cob and Coleslaw * Phil's Steamer Pot with half Lobster, Corn on the cob, Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, Clams, and Mussels Food Highlights: The soups came out first, and both were excellent. The Clam Chowder was topped with Bacon and Chives. It was the best we've had since moving to Florida--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The Lobster Bisque was Creamy and equally delicious, with great flavor and tasty pieces of Bread mixed in. Our entrées arrived quickly, and we loved both dishes. The Lobster was cooked perfectly in both meals, and everything in Phil's Steamer Pot was hot, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife, who is from Maine, said it was the best Lobster she has had in this area. Even the sides--the Corn on the cob and Coleslaw--were very good, and the Beer was served ice cold. One more thing each table featured a fish dip and crackers--an extra touch we really enjoyed. Fish Market and Final Verdict: Before leaving, we stepped inside to look at the Fish Market and were impressed by how fresh everything looked. The selection was large and added even more to the overall experience. This place was a pleasant surprise and delivered across the board with great Service, Food, Drinks, and Atmosphere. It easily ranks among my top 10 places to visit in the Sarasota area, and I can't wait to go back. For me, Walt's Fish Market earns 5 out of 5 stars. Gulf Coast Terry

They have a Naked Fish section where they offer a few types of fish with many preparation choices. The serving size was really not large enough to share but we did, and left me wanting more. The salad was fine. The basket was larger than it first appeared with lots of thin cut fries at the bottom. The several pieces of fried oysters and shrimp were flavorful. The basket also had small bites of okra and a fillet of a lightly breaded white fish. Too much food for my wife, enough to fill me up. It came with fries and what looked like about 2 ounces of coleslaw. Honestly, this basket should have been served with a magnifying glass so I could actually find the fish. My wife's fried tomato BLT was over-sauced and lacked flavor overall.
