Came in for Sunday Brunch and had superb service in the bar area. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. We let him know that we had a movie to catch afterwards and he made sure everything came out in a timely manner, so much so that we had about 30 minutes extra to hang around that we ended up ordering another round of mimosas after we paid our checks which he handled with no problem since we got the bottomless mimosa/bloody mary deal. On that note, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we could switch back and forth between mimosas, bloodies, and bellinis on that bottomless deal and we were charged the cheaper price of the three. Score! For an app, four of us shared the obligatory bang bang shrimp and the complimentary bread basket. For my brunch entrée, my friend convinced me to get the saucy shrimp over grits in which I was disappointed in it at all. It was a pretty large portion and I was bummed I could not take leftovers since we were going straight to our movie and I couldn't let shrimp and grits sit in a hot car during the summer for 2.5 hours. So, I ate as much as I could and said farewell to anything left on my plate. The shrimp and grits were full of flavor with the sundried tomatoes, feta, olives and that delicious tomato-based sauce poured over everything. The grits were creamy and smooth, buttery and cheesy. Two of my friends got the crème brulee French toast entrée and my other friend got the seafood Johnny cakes entrée. I had a bite of the French toast which delicious and not too sweet believe it or not. I did not get a chance to try the Johnny cakes as my friend devoured hers. I've been eating at Bonefish Grill since one opened near me when I lived in Maryland several years ago. I've always had good experiences this one included! My niece and I went for happy hour. Bonefish has a great happy hour! We ordered $5 martinis, the Tropical Tiki martini. We enjoyed our fruity, refreshing sweet drinks! Then we ordered from the $6 bar bites happy hour menu. We ordered the Cod and Wagyu sliders and calamari. The cod was fried nicely and you could tell the fish was fresh. Our server suggested we add a little goat cheese to our beef sliders. This was a great recommendation as it added nicely to the flavor of the burger. The calamari was delicious and I loved the dipping sauce! They also fried a few red peppers with the calamari which gave it a great flavor! Our server was cute and friendly. I really appreciated his goat cheese recommendation! Wow!!! We just had the most amazing experience at this location. We're visiting Orlando from North Carolina. We enjoy the Bonefish Grill in Greensboro and have visited some others. This is easily the best experience I've ever had at a Bonefish Grill. We arrived about 5:30 and were seated promptly. Our waiter was there almost immediately. We ordered our drinks and he asked about appetizers. We declined the appetizers. The food was great. Every one of us finished all of our entrees. Three of us had fish (Salmon, Tuna and something else). My wife had the chicken. Three of us had the broccoli (and it was amazing). All of us who had the fish had the mango salsa. It was very very good. Our waiter suggested the Key Lime Cake. Both couples ordered it and we really liked it. Our waiter was outstanding. I watched the wait staff at the other tables. I stopped buy Bonefish after shopping in the area and did not have a reservation, The restaurant was very busy but I only had to wait a few minutes for a table. This may be my favorite place, although like most restaurants they seem to phase out my favorite choices. The side salads are always fresh and a great starter. I've tried a lot of dishes but always seem to go back to the grilled trout dinner. I was really happy that they are now preparing their green beans differently and they finally have flavor. I have been to a number of other Bonefish Grill locations many times with good experiences. This was not one that I would rate as good. Mediocre may be a closer description. The issues that we had was the wait staff was inattentive at best. When the waiter came to take our orders, he had one hand full of dirty dishes and his POS system in the other hand. When I asked if he wanted to go put the dirty dishes down, he responded with "if I go do that, I have no idea how long it will take to get back." I asked my work friend if that is what he said, he said yes. When we got the food, the Brussel sprouts were dried out, neither of us ate them. The trout was dry and getting drink refills was another issue. One of the strangest things that I have ever seen was when he came to pick up the dirty plates off the table. He picked up a stack and just stuck his hand out. We didn't know what he wanted until he finally says, "well hand it to me." I know that the Orlando area is terrible for restaurant service, but a restaurant like Bonefish Grill should be held to a better standard by the corporation. We will not be back. read more

Ahhh so bummed that they don't have this place in California! I love fish and their Chilean seabass did not disappoint! Well cooked, ever just the right touch that the fish was delicate yet flavorful, oozing with the natural omega-3 we all want. So light but fluffy, and tasty I could have had more and not felt full. Sides of rice and veggies did not disappoint. Great bread and their dip was good too. Very ordinary. You can get this quality food at the Fridays (sorry Fridays) across the parking lot and for less cost and better ambiance. The server was very 'pushy" suggesting a bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer (the most expensive on the menu) and the highest price entree. He was also very deceptive. My friend ordered the fried shrimp dinner which came with French fries. We asked if we could substitute another side and he said "You can get any side you want." Well, of course for the $3.90 extra charge and he never even got the French fries that came with the entree! I ordered the Large Bonefish salad. He asked, "What kind of protein would you like on it? Maybe it was a wrong assumption on my part, but he should have asked, "would you like to add any protein? which is what 99.9% of restaurants do! It was an $8 up-charge!! The restaurant was practically empty as they were getting close to closing in an hour. The host sat us directly in front of the kitchen door. I'm not sure if he was totally clueless, hated his job or 2 male friends having dinner together. Either way, it just was the start of one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a very long time! Beware of the selling techniques that apparently Bonefish encourages or this server (J.K.) uses to increase the check amount and his tip %. This restaurant is near the airport, so I'm guessing they can get away with this since they probably don't get repeat guests. Overall, less than a 1-star rating. Can't say enough good things! My mom, sister and I came here for my sister's bday lunch and it was nothing short of amazing. Sister ordered fish and chips which were delicious, mom got scallops and shrimp that she said were the best scallops she's had in her life. This location is usually busy, and the parking lot can get crazy, so consider calling ahead or coming just before or after peak times. Their happy hour is solid of you want to just small meal and sip at the bar. The staff is great here. We've always had good servers that are friendly and check in regularly for drinks or any needs. They are also great about accommodating for allergies. If you've got a shellfish allergy, they can help you out. The hubs is allergic and we've never had an issue! My dad was craving Chilean Sea Bass and wanted to come to Bonefish to celebrate his birthday! Overall we had a good time here, everybody was satisfied with their dish, but unfortunately I wasn't blown away with the Spicy Tuna Bowl that I ordered. The bowl was not spicy at all and I didn't feel as though the sweet chili sauce suited the dish well (nor was it unique in flavor.. it tasted just like what you could get from the asian grocery store). However, the mango salsa was a refreshing component that I enjoyed! It is difficult to rate this dish because I like all of the ingredients independently, but I don't think it was presented or created to feel like a cohesive dish. I'm interested to try other items on their menu next time. I have no complaints about the free bread, who doesn't love free bread?? We came on a Wednesday so the Bang Bang Shrimp was on sale for 7$ (instead of the usual 11$) and it was very tasty & flavorful. I would recommend sharing this appetizer as it can feel heavy after awhile. My dad really enjoyed his Chilean Sea Bass and he says it never disappoints whenever he gets it! The Thermidor gnocchi was delicious!! They were generous with the amount of lobster and shrimp, and the sauce is really hearty. We have visited several Bonefish Grill locations in the Orlando area and the wife and I have found this to be our favorite location. We have found that it has the best service and consistent food quality. This seems surprising (at least to me) from a location right by the airport that probably has very few repeat customers. Although a chain restaurant, I think that BFG offers great seafood along with a very good dining experience. Their rainbow trout is fantastic and my go to favorite. The sea bass and cod piccata are two others that I would highly recommend. Their Hooked on Tuesdays menu is a great value option. This is a three course special with several options. This special Tuesday menu may not be presented, so be sure to ask your server about it. Their Jen's Jamaican Coconut Pie is to die for. I never used to be a coconut fan but this dessert converted me! read more

We came here for dinner tonight after a long work week cause it was near our hotel. We sat at the bar (as we usually do at most Bonefish Grills). Had my husband not asked, he wouldn't have been able to get a glass of wine at a happy hour price. We'd sat there awhile so when the bartender said she wasn't sure if we were still on time... it was a bit off putting. We certainly got there early enough. She (nor her companion bartender) ever even mentioned happy hour nor any of the specials etc. We ordered dinner. We were never asked about getting bread nor did we receive any. At our regular BG, it comes automatically. We saw others behind us with bread, however. Neither of the gals even bothered to check on us -- to ask if our entrees were okay or if we needed anything else. My husband had to flag one gal down just to get a glass of water. As it turns out, my lobster stuffed shrimp wasn't very good. I've had this before -- it should have been hotter in temperature, cooked longer, and the stuffing should have had some lobster in it. Some of my green beans were brown on the edges so I left these on the plate. The rice was fine, however. I think my husband's fish and chips were okay. Guess we are spoiled by the Fort Lauderdale BG staff where everyone is not only pleasant and efficient but has personality. First thing first, I've been to 3 different locations and none of the bartenders know how to make a French 75 -- which was so shocking to me that from Tampa to Orlando no one at this place knows the drink. I will say though that the location in Tampa looked up how to make it and made a really good one. This location remixed it into a martini and missed the mark, BUT they made up for it. It was creamy and hearty and had several big chunks of lobster inside. I had the Pecan Crusted Trout for dinner. I didn't expect it to be such a huge fillet and had to take half home. Bonefish is one of our very favorite chain restaurants. The quality of the food and service is always very consistent. It's been 6 years since we had been to a Bonefish as there are none in the area we currently live. We traveled to Florida recently to look for houses and in the nine days we were there we ate at Bonefish 3 times. Twice because we wanted to but the third (and the best) was across the parking lot at the hotel in which we stayed on our last night. On business in Orlando, I was staying in a hotel close by, so I stopped in for my favorite of favorites, Bang Bang Shrimp! Oh my gracious, it was better than I remembered! The breading is just enough and the shrimp somehow crisp and perfect! It was accompanied by my second favorite dish here, the Caesar Salad. The romaine lettuce was chilled to perfection and always the right amount of tanginess. Shania was my excellent server who was quick with water and a Cosmo refills! She is super adorable and kind.
