Was always told that a sauce is to compliment the food, not be the only thing you can taste. The cod was terribly dry and actually difficult to cut with my fork, and sadly the bacon Mac & Cheese was so overloaded with black pepper that I couldn't taste the cheese or bacon. When the highlight of a meal is the steamed spinach...that tells ya something. Maybe the Rona got the person who knew how to cook. The other weekend my friends and I walked in with a reservation to celebrate a bachelorette party. As we wait for a hostess to come up, this short white girl with glass comes to take care of us. She was the rudest person ever. She said she couldn't find our reservation in the nastiest way and then when we just asked for a table instead, she just scoffed, rolled her eyes and walked away; Then another hostess took over, found our reservation quickly and apologized for her behavior. I love the bang bang shrimp/tacos, but have enjoyed the almond crusted trout as well. Not too impressed w the creamed spinach (too runny) but the Brussels sprouts have been surprisingly tasty (I'm not really a fan of Brussels sprouts but they have made me reconsider....). We were at this place near Hamilton mall to celebrate a friend's birthday. I ordered their "New" item, as advertised in the menu, which was Tuna Poke Bowl. It was advertised to have red onions, peppers, cucumber slices, cilantro tossed in a Hawaiian poke sauce, served over Jasmine Rice, which sounded great. I wasn't paying much attention when the food arrived, I mean we were talking, joking and drinking. But when it struck me what I was served, it just blew me away. I was served a few, cube cuts of tuna, with some other stuff, but had no cilantro and the "sauce" that was mentioned, perhaps got soaked into the plate! But the hit was, that 1/3rd of my plate was piled with shredded lettuce:( WHERE THE HELL DID I READ LETTUCE ON THE MENU?? Pay attention to what they serve you. Fine con artists they are. I guess the cook ran out of onions and cucumbers and cilantro and all, so loaded my plate up with lettuce. We had a party of 3 and could only seem to get a table really designed for two. So we opted for snacks and a few drinks instead of dinner.,,, not enough room for 3 to eat a meal. First time we have been back after a bad experience with poor service a couple years ago. Seems the ship has been righted. Server was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Store manager himself (think his name was Cody, forgive me if I am wrong) stopped by to ensure that we had a great experience. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp which never disappoints. I'm not normally one to say I love a chain restaurant, but this is one of my favorites. Their seafood is always amazing and their flavors are great. You have to get the bang bang shrimp! Wednesday's they are special... which normally means there's a wait on Wednesday. I got their crab crushed cod this time and it was great! Along with the bacon mc and cheese and green beans. Our waiter was fantastic and even drew us a nice little piece of artwork on our to go box. Details. They also have a cute little patio for when it's not so hot outside. I love love love Bonefish Grill. If you have never had the Mussels Diane appetizer, you are missing one of the greatest things you'll ever have. I usually get it as an entrée, maybe first having a salad or cup of soup. What makes them so special? The sauce. O. M. G. The sauce is a wine and garlic sauce that is so decadent and delicious. you can ask for some fresh French bread and just dip your bread in to that sauce and it is truly one of life's most pleasurable flavors. I crave that sauce. I could take a bath in it. I wish I could accurately explain how good this stuff is. I'm going to have to get some soon. As much as I love that dish, last time I decided to branch out and try something different. They have a Shrimp Pad Thai on the menu and I ordered that. You know what? It was really good. Had the perfect amount of sweet and heat. I would definitely get it again. I also love their Happy Hour and their martinis. I haven't had one I didn't like. First of all, I love Bonefish Grill. Now, for today's experience. I can't recall the last time my wife and I were the only customers in an entire restaurant, especially a Bone Fish. Covid has not been nice. The staff was following all health and safety protocols from what I could tell. They have an amazing, but very selective, lunch menu during this crisis. Although, you can order off the full menu. We had two large Bang Bang shrimp tacos with Cole slaw (your choice of side) and a side Ceasar salad (included), with bread (also included) for $12.90!!! I been here several times over the years. Today I came here for the bang bang shrimp tacos. They had them on special for just a limited time and today was the last day. First of all, I forgot my coupon that I printed off my computer this morning. I didn't think I needed also because when I called the first time, I was put on hold for several minutes and she never came back. I called a second time about an hour later and person said they were on special for $7 which led me to believe I didn't need the coupon. Anyway, when I got here, of course they asked for it. A manager came out and said to give it to me anyway. Menu items ordered; bang bang shrimp tacos, broccoli and sweet tea. They tacos were great tasting and looked as good as the picture in the email as they sent me. The broccoli was a little too hot but I waited a couple minutes for them to cool down. The service here has always been great. One time I came here and saw Peyton Manning dining here with his wife about 5 or 6 years ago. As I was going to the bathroom I saw someone who looked familiar. When o came out of the bathroom I went up to the table and asked if he was Peyton. He said "what". I asked again he nodded his head "yes". I asked are you Peyton Manning. I had an awesome lunch at this establishment. My friend and I decided to eat at the bar. The bartender (Creighton) greeted us promptly. Within a few minutes we had our beverages. Shortly there after he took our lunch order. The service we received was excellent. It was a pleasure speaking with Creighton. He made us feel extremely welcome--as if we had been there every week for a year. Our food was outstanding. We both had the Bang Bang shrimp tacos with a salad and side item. Our side item was the au gratin potatoes, which seemed a bit undercooked, but we personally did not care as the salad and tacos filled us up anyway. I must say, regardless of location, the Bonefish Grill chain is definitely consistent in service, food quality & ambiance. No pics today as I literally ravaged my plate as soon as soon as it hit the table. I ordered the bang bang shrimp, grilled salmon with lemon butter sauce, garlic spinach, and asparagus. The bang bang shrimp are my absolute favorite! Perfectly fried shrimp covered in awesome sauce that had a slight kick...delicious!! My main course was pretty standard, gave 4 stars because the salmon was slightly over cooked. Oh, I also had a bite of a shared dessert. Hot brownie with nuts & ice cream. Not a huge sweets fan and the brownie tasted like it was a prepacked deal that was simply popped in the oven. Overall, I was pleased with the visit and wouldn't object to eating there again. I had a Blackberry Red Sangria "Holy Cow" that had to be the best drink I've tasted in a long time, so good there was no ice left..... I ordered the Atlantic salmon with mango salsa, steamed spinach and au gratin potatoes. Was a very classy place to eat, was slight pricey. We made reservations for Bonefish Grill on a Tuesday evening, without any knowledge of their "Hooked on Tuesday" specials! What luck. These kind of appetizer to dessert specials are our favorites! When we walked in, we took a moment to admire their new look and then we were seated immediately. Apparently the Tuesday special is popular because shortly, all tables were filled. My only complaint about the ambience was that while the soft, dim light was undoubtedly flattering to me, it made taking photos tricky. We started off with drinks and I immediately chose the Fresh Watermelon Icicle Aphrodisiac™ Martini. It was everything I hoped it would be. Sipping it, I settled in to look at the menu. Everything sounded good, and I was torn between the Spicy Tuna Bowl and the Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout. I settled on the trout and the hubs settled on the Ahi Tuna Steak. For salads, he chose the house salad and I chose the Caesar. We also couldn't resist to add the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer for just $6! Sipping my watermelon martini and slipping bang bang shrimp into my mouth, I was in my happy place. So good. The appetizer serving size was very generous! The shrimp was tender inside, crispy on the outside and tossed in their spicy sauce. After that I was ready for my second martini, the fresh pineapple martini. While I liked the watermelon martini, the fresh pineapple was amazing. This is the one I will have the next time we come. Our salads were perfect. My Caesar salad was balanced with just the right amount of cheese and croutons. The house salad was several steps above most restaurants house salads. Bread was served with the salads and it was a lovely rustic loaf with an oil and herbs dipping sauce. Excellent. Both entrees were excellent. My husband's tuna was cooked perfectly, as were the snow peas and the rice. He loved the Asian dipping sauce. My Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow trout was also perfect and a very generous size. The gratin potatoes were rich and creamy and the snow peas tender yet still crisp. By this time I was already starting to get full, so to save a teeny bit of room for dessert, I took half of my dinner home for lunch the next day. The desserts were the perfect ending to a lovely meal. My husband's seasonal berry shortcake was light and delicious. My macadamia nut brownie was also very, very generous! I ate the ice cream and couple bites of one of the brownies (yes there were two!) and took the rest home for the next day. When we shared them the next day we couldn't believe how rich, chocolatey and delicious they were - they easily fed two people! I also have to mention how good the service was. Our waitress, Jennifer, was amazing. She answered all of our questions, recommended the potatoes (great call!) and kept our water glasses filled and table clean throughout the whole meal. A very friendly man (manager?) brought our drinks and also checked back with us. We received a complimentary gift card to try Bonefish Grill, but all opinions are my own. No quality control in the kitchen and/or people (in the kitchen) who care. We don't go out to eat very often so we won't waste our time at this one again. Sunday was a beautiful day out so I wanted to find a restaurant that had outdoor seating. After much debate, bonefish won, because who doesn't love bang bang shrimp. It has actually been forever since I've been here, and I'm not even sure why. I guess I wanted to stay away from chain restaurants although the food quality at bonefish is always wonderful and this time was no different. We came for a late lunch around 2pm after a gruesome workout so the fiancé and I were famished. Are eyes were much bigger than our stomach, so we left with tons of leftovers. Samantha was our server on this beautiful day and she was great. She greeted us promptly and checked on us just enough. We had enough time to enjoy our food but always had our drinks refilled when needed. She did a superb job. For lunch we ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer then we both had the corn chowder with lump crab and then I had the large order of ahi tuna and he had the crab cakes. The bang bang shrimp was just as I remembered it. Crunchy and with just the right amount of kick to it. The chowder was flavorful and I love anything with corn so it was. Win for me. After just having those two we were full. But of course the rest of the food came and we only took a bite of each and boxed it for home. The crab cakes were to die for. It was covered in Panko I assumed and baked to perfection. So soft and flaky. The ahi was my least favorite and there was a ton of it. It was too fishy for my liking. Overall a good visit! read more

I will start by saying our waitress was most attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The front host was off-putting, condescending didn't have a team/leadership attitude. When he attempted to seat us at a poor table, despite that. the place was fairly empty, we asked to sit in the bar he seemed put out. We ordered a steak and swordfish. They arrived at the table at the same time. The steak was ok, minimal.flavor, the side spinach had no seasoning of flavor despite being sauteed. The fish was cool, the pasta side was cold and the broccoli was cool and bland; the plate itself was cold. It took about 5 minutes to get the waitress. She had many tables. We asked the host as he went past of he could help and he literally went to the kitchen door and yelled for our waitress. So much for a cozy dinner with my hubby. The waitress quickly apologized and took the plate to be warmed. The manager enough the reheated dish back, did apologize again, then stayed it's warm this time we temp checked it before bringing it out. Great, now the fish which has been at least flaky was now dry, the paste which was tasty all the sauce had tried up. By this time my day was about done with his meal. We didn't want a dessert, so the manager gave us a box of 4 chocolates. No discount, not even the offer to reduce the check despite my statement quietly to the manager, "it was our intent to dine together". Again an apology, from the manager also the waitress. I would have expected our two drinks to be comped. I liked bonefish when it first opened, the surroundings we're well appointed. We will not be going back again, not even for a casual meet up. I did not expect the whole meal to be comped but at least the fish dish and drinks since that was the special of the day. read more

I ate at Bonefish for my birthday- after waiting a bit for a table to be cleaned off very slowly--- we were seated and waited a while for an introduction from our waiter. it was not at all what I expected for this caliber restaurant. Ordered steamed oysters- have did not seem well steamed and half seemed tough and overly steamed- plus the recipe not fabulous, well actually it was just "ok". I ordered the striped Bass- well- it smelled fishy when it arrived at my table- should not have smelled fishy at all- and the flavor was mediocre. I would think that a restaurant that specializes in seafood would have had better fish than I can get at the golden coral buffet. It was just perfect. I had the blackened fish tacos with crispy fries, and my girlfriend had the spicy seared tuna bowl. We started with the edamame appetizer. People-I'm telling you. What started as a talkative lunch quickly dissipated into silence as we were being transported into another galaxy with the dishes. My mango salsa could've been a stand-alone. Her seared tuna must've been prepared on a golden grill, with a master chef timing the sizzle down to the millisecond. How is this a chain? The service was as good as any local place. My steak was brought out rare after requesting Extra well done and letting it be known I wanted it cooked over the time when they thought it would even be well done. So I sent it back to the kitchen. It was brought back out red again. This was after the other person in my parties food was completely gone. His fish was good and made the way he requested.
