Our dog loves coming here for day care a couple of times a week! He comes home exhausted from playing with his buddies. The employees are so kind, always recognizing us when we come in for drop off and pick up. BSB is my lifesaver! I had an issue with a roommate not wanting my sweet pup in the apartment when I am out so I had to find a place to watch him. BSB is less than a mile from my apartment. They are renovating to make the space much larger. It's going to have more doggie play area. The shop area is very clean and stocked with cute merch. I left Mickey there a few days for doggie day care and he had no issues. He was tired so he must of been playing. It's $16 all day for doggie day care which is so worth it! I also left him there for 5 nights and he was OK but I just think he's not used to it. It wasn't BSB's fault but he did lose some weight. They are very nice at the check-in desk, everyone I met so far is super friendly. They do take the time to ask about the dogs. I do think they did take very good care of him, he's just an anxious little guy! read more

Love this place! My boyfriend and I took our puppy, Bella here one day we were going on a long day-cation. Everyone here is super helpful and friendly. They seem to take really good care of the dogs, and even have a camera on the play area so you can watch your furry children interact and play with the other dogs! Bone Sweet Bone is by far the best doggy daycare. Reilly (small dog) went to daycare for 2 years here and was so excited to get out of the car and play with his friends. I moved to the Westside and have not found a place I liked as much as Bone Sweet Bone. Daycare is affordable and the staff is wonderful. One of the most adorable things that they did was that they put a picture of Reilly in a picture frame for Mothers day. It is still up at my place now. They are also very active on Facebook and show pictures of the dogs through the week. The facility is clean and the space is very large. They separate the big dogs from the small dogs. They also have areas outdoors which is rare as well. They have healthy food for dogs and Nature's Balance was less expensive than larger pet supply places. They also have great and unique products for dogs. Reilly has also had baths and nails done here. The shampoo smells good and they put a cute handkerchief around neck. Really cute! Also, hours are great. They are open really late so if you work long hours you don't need to worry too much. Hands down one of the best places to take your dog! read more

Bone Sweet Bone has been so good to us! I started bringing my 2.5 year old Basset Hound, Andrew, here after a neighbor's recommendation this past summer (Thank you Greg and Carter). We rescued Andrew from Daphneyland (in Acton), and we were told he had aggression issues. After working with him with my mother's Ridgebacks, I took him for an eval so he could start daycare. Now, I am not the coddling type, a dog is a member of the family, but still a dog, and I thought that daycare was the dorkiest thing ever for dogs... but I figured it would get him out with other dogs since we live in an apartment. After filling out a thorough information packet, lots of good questions, they took him back and observed him with the dogs. I asked for him to be placed with larger dogs, since he is used to them. They came back after a bit and told me he was fine with the group, but as a precaution, someone is always with the dogs. Since the summer, we have been dropping Andrew off once a week, and he seems to do great there. He has become more social with other dogs in the building, and comes home tired. :) When I have to go to work, or I have a long day of errands to run, I can just drop Andrew off without an appointment. It's perfect, and really reasonably priced. Under 5 hours is about $16. Over 5 hours is $23.50. I am definitely sold on Bone Sweet Bone's daycare, and it's been really helpful. When he spends the day at daycare, we can also request for him to get a bath. They do a great job getting him squeaky clean. His ears are always clean and dry, nails trimmed, and comes home smelling good. They informed me that Andrew has issues with the blow dryer and dremel drill, so they have to towel dry him and place him in a front of a fan... not even an issue with me. They also warned me that his nails would be a little sharp each time they groomed him, but that is completely understandable. I'm glad they don't push him too hard. It's good to know that Andrew is always in safe hands when he goes there. read more

I started going there about 4 years ago and have not been the last 2 years. went back a month ago and they still remembered the names of me and my 2 shitzus. they do a very good job with grooming and my boys are always happy to see them. they walk up the stairs happily, eagerly waiting to go inside to join the other dogs. a really great place! read more

I've had my dog for years and was never able to find a great place like this. Not only are their prices reasonable, my dog comes out HAPPY. Usually any other place I took him to whether I paid $35 or $80, he would come out with some sort of pain either a cut or emotionally he was sad. THE WORST PET GROOMER/ PET SITTING BUSINESS IN HISTORY!!!!!! I took my 12 week old Shitzu puppy for his first grooming experience and these sick mother fuckers choked/strangled my poor dog and made his blood vessels pop in BOTH of his eyes!!! When I picked him up, they said that his blood vessels popping was normal because he was so scared, but when I spoke to my vet about it, my vet was FURIOUS!!!! My vet told me the only way that blood vessels pop in the eyes is because my dog couldn't breathe!!!! NEVER LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!! How can you not love bone sweet bone! Went here for the first time after several people had recommended it to me. I had went to Petco for my grooming needs as I have an English bulldog and he just needs a bath. I finally went here and this place was great. I was able to get a quick appt and they finished my dogs bath within 2 and a half hours! Usually at Petco it takes like4 hours. The staff and the groomer who cleaned my dog were super friendly and have me some tips on how to keep my dog's wrinkles clean! Love this place! read more

We've taken our dog here for almost 2 years now, since she was just a wee pup. She goes in for daycare and for boarding, and for all of her grooming, and we never have a doubt that she is in very good hands. Santiago and his staff care for all of their dog customers as if they were their own four-legged family members. Every time we bring our dog in, she scrambles to get back through to the play area where she knows her friends are waiting. We even get the occassional picture post of her on their Facebook page when she's spending a few nights there, which is a great comfort when we're out of town without her. As for grooming, she always comes out looking and smelling wonderful, and they take great care to make sure she is bathed with hypo-allergenic shampoo due to her sensitive skin and allergies. We trust them completely with one of the most important members of our family. We couldn't be happier with them. read more

I infrequently (once every 3-4 months) put my dog in day care here over a two year span. We kept going back because it was one of the reasonably priced doggy day cares and used to be the only cage free boarding place in the area. I really wanted to like this place but when you get three strikes, you're out. The first strike occurred after I boarded my dog overnight for about a week. My dog was incessantly scratching and biting herself when she got home. Lo and behold, after running a flea comb in her I found TWO fleas near her tail! WHAT!!! And yes, we use anti-flea medicine on the regular but sometimes it's just not enough. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, remedied the situation on our own after informing Santiago (the owner) of the flea issue, and decided to go back since we had already been going there over a year. The second strike came when I noticed my dog had increasingly begun to tense up when we'd arrive. I believe someone else mentioned the same thing. If only dogs could speak... Instead of being excited to go to this place, she would almost claw at me like "get me the eff out of here!" My hesitation of taking her here intensified from that moment. The final strike came when we took my dog for overnight boarding for another week long stay. On the drive home I noticed she had a bleeding cut above her nose. I called immediately and no one picked up. I left a message for Santiago to call me back asap. I didn't receive a follow-up phone call until the next day after I had already sent an email expressing my disappointment, anguish and anger over what happened. When Santiago called me, he was apologetic and gave me a reason it had happened that didn't quite make sense to me because it didn't sound like something my dog would do. Regardless, why didn't he tell me this when I picked up my dog originally? Did he think I wouldn't see it? Did he need time to come up with an excuse? I don't know, but it was unacceptable. The grounds are nothing to write home about. Most of the time the dogs are outside on concrete in two small gated areas. I'm not sure how much time my dog spent out there since there are no webcams, but she overheats easily in the sun so that might be the reason she didn't enjoy going there. Some times things happen for a reason because not long after this happened, another cage-free dog boarding place opened up in the area. We've been taking our dog there instead ever since. read more

We have been coming here for years and watched Bone Sweet Bone grow and develop from a small bath/grooming shop to a retail + grooming + day care facility. What a wonderful experience watching a good business grow and flourish! We have been bringing our dog to be groomed by Etson for the past 6 years. She has been groomed by him her entire life since she came out of puppy-hood. And not once did we have a bad experience. We get so many compliments on our dog's appearance, and we credit Etson with all of them. He makes her looks cute, healthy, and her fur grows out with healthy speed. I can't say our dog loves to go there. In fact, she hates being groomed and bathed. If that's the case with your dog, don't automatically blame the groomer. In our case, our dog has never been injured, cut, or hurt in any way by grooming or bathing. It's just her personality - she dislikes the grooming experience for her own doggie reasons. What we like about Bone Sweet Bone: 1. They have a strict up-to-date shots policy. All dogs are required to have up-to-date shot records in order to be groomed or boarded, no exception. I saw some reviewers complain about the policy, but I think that's just silly. I would not want my dog to get sick because of an irresponsible dog own or because the staff caved in to the bullying client. 2. We like Santiago, the owner, very much. He is a pleasure to talk to, takes time and effort to remember his clients. He seems like a kind and caring person, and our dog loves him. And you can't fool the dog's instincts! 3. Etson, the groomer, makes our dog look cute and healthy. Her fur is healthy after his touch. She has never been cut, scratched, or injured in any way by Etson. She comes home with a lovely haircut and healthy-looking coat. 4. Quality and price. They are not the cheapest place on the block, but we always come out feeling like we got the best value. You may have noticed that BSB has the highest review ranking among the neighboring grooming salons. There is always going to be a few disappointed clients. However, we found BSB staff ethical, helpful, and forthcoming every time, and we recommended BSB to our friends and family members. read more
