I won't never take my dog to this place, every time I take him he has too many cuts in his skin also soon my dog get home his so thirsty they don't even give him water. I called last time for appointment she said I have to leave him here for 2 hours I said fine, I came back for him in couple hours she said his not ready yet will call you when his ready. I said that's mean I have to drive back here again she said am sorry were super busy. that's not my fault they shouldn't accept more appointment, any way they call me after 2 hours later means that's my dog had to stay there for 4 hours. When first I brought Snowy to B-S-B, I was concerned that she might not be comfortable, as she was a rescue with trust issues, but the staff were very sensitive to her. I travel a lot for work, and when I need to board my dog, I take him here. Whether it's for a day or two or a week and change, my dog always gets excited when he walks o to the store. He emphatically greets the staff, and I know he's in good hands. I do wish they had a webcam setup so we can see them play, but he always is happy to stay there and have been going there for over a year. They make my stay away from home less stressful. read more

I was so thrilled at first. I thought I had found an amazing groomer after moving to Studio City. For the first two times, it was fabulous. Great service, super professional, and nice quality cut on my maltipoo. The third time I was treated like complete garbage. Talked to rudely by the staff, and charged $20 more without consent. A bath and cut for my little dog - $59, and they charged me $79 without notice or permission. Besides never calling to just ask if her legs could be cut a bit shorter - THEY made the decision to cut her the way they wanted, and just upcharge me. I could have accepted an apology from the owner - I wrote him an email to let him know how disappointed I was, and he never responded. I called, to make sure he received my email and left word for him to call me. He ignored my call. Shameful. For $20 and arrogantly refusing to talk to me or apologize, they lost us as clients. I will definitely never recommend this business and tell everyone I know what happened here. So disappointed. read more

This review has been LONG overdue! i don't have enough good things to say about this place and the girls that work there, where do I even start! So my dog Rocco pretty much lives there due to my busy work schedule and travel, and he absolutely loves it. Rocco's been to a lot of daycares but this one is truly the best. The girls that work there are SO sweet and caring (every single one of them), and know how to deal with my crazy boxer haha. You can tell they truly love dogs and aren't just there to "work". Rocco always comes home exhausted (which is exactly what I want) and you can tell he's had a lot of fun. He is always excited to go to daycare in the morning as well! This place is also very clean, Rocco NEVER smells even after boarding! Other places he's stayed at he would smell so bad on a daily basis as if they aren't cleaning up after the dogs. Rocco has boarded there many times and I love that they actually pay attention to feeding the dogs the food you provide, at other daycares he's come back so skinny but at this one he's fatter than when I left him! They discriminate. I called to schedule an interview for my dog (pit bull) and was told "we no longer take that breed". I know that unfortunately this breed has a bad reputation but that is what an interview is for, to see if the dog is a right fit. It's very upsetting to be shut down automatically without even meeting the dog. Everyone needs to educate themselves and know that any breed has the potential to be aggressive! It is the way a dog is raised that makes all the difference so please don't blame one breed for the mistakes of POOR OWNERS! read more

This was the final time my dog goes to daycare here. I picked up her and the girl says "did your dog have a scratch on her leg when you dropped her off?" Ugh NO. She brings my dog out and there's a GASH on on leg and a huge welt and bite mark on her other leg. Are you kidding me?!? This is the SECOND time this has happened. And the girl has the nerve to tell me it's friendly play. I will not pay 25 bucks for my dog to come home bloody. Beware of this place. Obviously they aren't paying close attention to the dogs. The second time I was contacted by their receptionist she stated that there is a person in the back thats job is to watch the dogs and report to the front desk any injuries or fights. I've been taking my maltipoo to a great groomer for 6 years. Never in that 6 yrs has there been a problem.This time I decided to try bone sweet bone for the 1st time because it was closer to me. So I took her there. Place was nice when I walked in. They had a lot of cute pet accessories for sale. Filled out all the paperwork, told them how I would like them to cut her hair, left my dog there and got out. About 5-7 min later a guy named Santiago calls me and tells me that they can't groom my dog because she bit his finger. I'm like WHAT??!!!! I've had my dog for 6 years, she's the sweetest dog she never bit anyone in her life. So I rush back there. When I get there, Santiago tells me that he can't take her out that I have to take her out. So I go in the room that my dog is to get her and what the hell do I see? My poor little girl is trapped in a small closed kennel, she looked so scared and helpless. This was my 1st time there. They should've informed me that they're gonna put her in a kennel to wait until they take her to groom her. My poor dog was in that small kennel in a small room ALONE! Obviously she was gonna bit your finger. I wish she took all your fingers stupid!!! My dog has been free all her life. She doesn't know what the hell kennels are. If they told me about it I would've never left her there. I would've driven a little longer but wouldn't cause stress to my dog. She literally pooped all over herself, her tail was so tucked that you couldn't see it. That's how scared and stressed she was. Anyways I took her home from there. An hour later I notice that the white part of her left eye is all red. A blood vessel popped in her eye. I took her to her vet. The 1st question her vet asked me was if she got into a fight with another dog. I'm like WHAT???! NO! He said yes this is caused by trauma. OMGG when he said that I went hysterical. I don't know what these people did to my dog and I could never prove it. The only prove that I have for me was that her eye was bloody red and that something happened in that stupid place. I will NEVER EVER recommend anyone to take their sweet pets to this place. They literally scare and stress them out. Mine had the guts to fight back. And whoever recommended me to this place she will not bring her dog back there ever again!!!! I will definitely spread the word about your place. read more

Having to wash your sweatshirt when you get home from picking up your dog from being groomed b/c it has blood all over it from their nails bleeding isn't a great feeling. My dog is nearly 7 years old and never have I had a grooming experience like this. I'll keep it short and simple so everyone can read what happened. They cut her nails so short that they began bleeding and wouldn't stop. I had it all over her car seat and me. I was offered no refund or apologize only excuses when I had to return to the store for them to put ointment on her nails. I'm giving two stars because I took my yorkie twice there and it was "ok". Prices are a little high for grooming and boarding . They listened to what I wanted but didn't seem to truly love what they did. The THIRD time, was soooo bad. They cut my yorkies ear and his belly was cut raw. It left red marks for 3 weeks until the skin healed. It was a Sunday. When I complained (after a $90 vet bill) at my expense, I was offered a 10% discount off next visit!!!!!!! Never again would I have risked it again!!!!! I was promised a credit back to my credit card, which never happened. As a former business owner, I would have refunded the money, but they didn't. The first two times were again, just "ok" so I will give them only 2 stars. read more

It pains me to update my review to a bad one, however responsible yelping (no pun intended) is being honest about my experiences when visiting a business as a repeat customer. I've been bringing my three dogs here for the most part of almost three years. The good (hence 2 stars, instead of 1): the front desk service has always been polite, and professional and they have had a good inventory of products. Also, I've never been pressured to hurry to pick them up. I've always been able to take my time to get back to this side of town to pick them up after they're ready. The bad: inconsistency, and somewhat questionable experiences on a whole. The first experience I had that triggered suspicion was quite a while ago, when I expressed that my male Pomeranian (pictured on my profile) absolutely hated and fought being brushed....but only after a few of his first visits here. I was concerned that he expressed pain and asked for some advice on how to brush him without administering pain, and I was told something along the lines of "it's not that it hurts him, it's that it's slightly uncomfortable due to his thick Pomeranian coat. You kinda just have to make him deal with it." What made me say to myself "huh???" Was when it was referenced that I should know since I am a man with long hair. The exact words were: "you of all people should know, it doesn't hurt--it's just pressure." The tone wasn't rude or anything, but I thought to myself: "What are you talking about? It hurts when I brush through my hair....and I'm not a Pomeranian.....I'm a guy with long, but thin hair....surely if it hurts me, it must hurt my Pomeranian." I was looking for some advice on buying a better brush, or brushing techniques. I Didn't get advice other than "make him deal with it" but the girl was polite about it, and assured me he wasn't under any pain during brushing, but I can't believe that based on his reactions, and the advice was just not informative. What really concerns me though, is over the years he shows more and more 'fear' when I bring him here (dragging his feet on the way in, and on the way into the back grooming area, which is not visible). The other bad experience I have had is with my dog Donnie: he is a Pom-silky terrier mix. I always get him the Mohawk cut from head to tail, and well....it's just been extremely inconsistent. Sometimes upon pickup he has a narrow perfect Mohawk, and other times he has come back with a widened crooked "Mohawk." All in all, the last handful of times I brought him, I showed a picture of what I was hoping to see upon pickup so I wouldn't get home and be disappointed. I'm sure I could have had him touched up if I expressed dissatisfaction, but I figure it's just impolite if I am not specific when dropping him off. However, the clincher was the last time I brought him here: he came back with a cut in his side that has scarred. I was told that he flinched, and I wasn't charged for the cut, which was professional of them. Thank god he didn't need a vet visit, but I now worry about his reaction when I took him to a new groomer last week for the first time: he cried and cried when I was leaving--I've never seen him express this kind of fear. The consistency of fear being expressed by my dogs, that has worsened over time, and the cut in Donnie's side makes me worry that my dogs are not being handled in a gentle, patient manner. I really like this place, but with all the fear my dogs express, the clipper knick in my dogs side, and the inconsistency of good cuts simply makes me worry enough to not bring them back. I brought my Mini Poodle here for a bath and clip. GROOM: They were mediocre. His clip was asymmetrical but he was clean and had no cuts. PRICE: I was surprised they charged me for a medium size dog instead of small because every other place I have taken him he is always charged for a small dog. I probably wont go back because of the price. SERVICE: They were very friendly and helpful. Yet they apparently do not take the dogs out to pee no matter how long they stay there. When I came to get my dog he peed on me and he usually does not do that unless hes been holding it for a long time. I asked them if they take them out and they said no. They were not fazed that he peed in their store. PERKS: I was pleased that they do not charged extra for keeping the dogs longer than the cut. I was also pleased that they were exactly on schedule. They said three hours and they called at exactly three hours. read more

We have been using BONE SWEET BONE for about a year now. We have tried other day cares in the area but chose to stay with them because of their impeccable service. The owner of the store ,Santiago ,is soooo hands on and treats our animals like family. Our dogs love going there and love all the staff who are exceptionally friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. One of our dogs has special needs and We feel so confident in leaving her there knowing that she will get the attention and treatment that she needs. We now use there services not only for day care,overnight stays, grooming, and even buy dog food and accessories there. It makes it so easy to have everything under the same roof. Took my dog here last Sunday and I don't know what happened but she's been acting very odd ever since. The haircut is horrific. She has nicks all over her body, constantly itching, is scared and is walking with a limp. Did I mention the AWFUL haircut?? It's uneven and there's pieces they missed/forgot to cut. DO NOT take your animal here. I haven't called to complain because seeing from the other complaints, nothing was resolved. I could care less about how my dog looks if she was not traumatized. BSB is my lifesaver! I had an issue with a roommate not wanting my sweet pup in the apartment when I am out so I had to find a place to watch him. BSB is less than a mile from my apartment. They are renovating to make the space much larger. It's going to have more doggie play area. The shop area is very clean and stocked with cute merch. I left Mickey there a few days for doggie day care and he had no issues. He was tired so he must of been playing. It's $16 all day for doggie day care which is so worth it! I also left him there for 5 nights and he was OK but I just think he's not used to it. It wasn't BSB's fault but he did lose some weight. They are very nice at the check-in desk, everyone I met so far is super friendly. They do take the time to ask about the dogs. I do think they did take very good care of him, he's just an anxious little guy! read more

We always take our puggle here and they do a great job washing and shaving her. We took our new poodle here and asked to make sure to cut her hair short, especially the hair in front of her eyes. But when we got her back it seems they barely cut anything and just fluffed her out. In a few hours the hair settled and continued to block her vision . Waste of $50 plus . They seem to take really good care of the dogs, and even have a camera on the play area so you can watch your furry children interact and play with the other dogs! Bone Sweet Bone has been so good to us! I started bringing my 2.5 year old Basset Hound, Andrew, here after a neighbor's recommendation this past summer (Thank you Greg and Carter). We rescued Andrew from Daphneyland (in Acton), and we were told he had aggression issues. After working with him with my mother's Ridgebacks, I took him for an eval so he could start daycare. Now, I am not the coddling type, a dog is a member of the family, but still a dog, and I thought that daycare was the dorkiest thing ever for dogs... but I figured it would get him out with other dogs since we live in an apartment. After filling out a thorough information packet, lots of good questions, they took him back and observed him with the dogs. I asked for him to be placed with larger dogs, since he is used to them. They came back after a bit and told me he was fine with the group, but as a precaution, someone is always with the dogs. Since the summer, we have been dropping Andrew off once a week, and he seems to do great there. He has become more social with other dogs in the building, and comes home tired. :) When I have to go to work, or I have a long day of errands to run, I can just drop Andrew off without an appointment. It's perfect, and really reasonably priced. Under 5 hours is about $16. Over 5 hours is $23.50. I am definitely sold on Bone Sweet Bone's daycare, and it's been really helpful. When he spends the day at daycare, we can also request for him to get a bath. They do a great job getting him squeaky clean. His ears are always clean and dry, nails trimmed, and comes home smelling good. They informed me that Andrew has issues with the blow dryer and dremel drill, so they have to towel dry him and place him in a front of a fan... not even an issue with me. They also warned me that his nails would be a little sharp each time they groomed him, but that is completely understandable. I'm glad they don't push him too hard. It's good to know that Andrew is always in safe hands when he goes there. read more

THE WORST PET GROOMER/ PET SITTING BUSINESS IN HISTORY!!!!!! I took my 12 week old Shitzu puppy for his first grooming experience and these sick mother fuckers choked/strangled my poor dog and made his blood vessels pop in BOTH of his eyes!!! When I picked him up, they said that his blood vessels popping was normal because he was so scared, but when I spoke to my vet about it, my vet was FURIOUS!!!! My vet told me the only way that blood vessels pop in the eyes is because my dog couldn't breathe!!!! NEVER LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!!
