Over that time, we've become stronger, more confident in the gym, and much more consistent about prioritizing our physical fitness. Shamik is incredibly thoughtful in how he trains us. He listens, asks questions, pays attention to how our bodies are feeling, and adjusts when needed. At the same time, he knows us well enough to recognize when we're capable of more and isn't afraid to challenge us. His approach is never one-size-fits-all. He cares about doing things correctly, building strength safely, and helping us continue to improve over time. The accountability he provides has also been invaluable. Life gets busy, and having someone who keeps us consistent and committed to our fitness makes a huge difference. And after four years, it matters that Shamik is also just a genuinely good person. He's someone we trust, enjoy spending time with, and genuinely look forward to seeing each week. We feel stronger, healthier, and more capable because of the work we've done with him, and we couldn't recommend him more highly.

My daughter and I have been working out with our Provital Fitness trainer, Ivania Caceres, since…read moreDecember 2017, and she has literally changed our lives. We are typical couch potatoes whose default mode is "at rest," but Iva has us up and moving, working our arms, cores, legs, and other muscles we didn't even know we had! We've each lost about 20 pounds and multiple inches, but the most important change is the feeling of confidence we have -- instead of shrinking from the sight of a kettleball or a sled or whatever other crazy thing she tells us we're doing next, we are excited to try something new. Our trainings are challenging but also fun; Iva is so warm and encouraging, she inspires us to want to do (and be) our best. We adore our Iva, but this must be said: Every member of the Provital Fitness team makes us feel like part of the family. When we go to the gym on days that Iva isn't there and we need help with something, we talk to Bill or Sara or Dave or another trainer, and they are unfailingly kind and helpful. If you had told me a year ago that I would be a regular gym-goer and devoted to my personal trainer, I would've laughed for an hour -- but it's true. I'm still a couch-loving bookworm, but now I'm a STRONG, CONFIDENT, and FLEXIBLE couch-loving bookworm! My daughter and I couldn't be happier.

Mind in Motion is strictly classical Romana Pilates. Li is whipping me in shape (again I hope). I…read morehave not yet tried the other instructors Frederique and Michael, but have seen them teach and it looks as good as Li. This is probably the cleanest and most classical studio around Boston and I have been coming here for about two years. I skipped the last two months after my duet partner moved to NYC, but now I am back for privates. Okay - there is no beach season this year (yet), but this no excuse to be out of shape. (Okay - A sphere is a shape). I work next to the studio so I lack even the excuse "how do I get there." Besides, parking is not a problem (except around 9 AM when people come to get their cars from the tow lot next door).

It is perfectly designed for the dancers body, emphasizing strength, stretch and control, so when my Mom said she had started classes at Mind in Motion Pilates Studio, I felt that I'd like to give it a try as well. Let me just say, I had no idea the transformation that would take place. I had abdominal surgery that left me with very little muscle control. Not only has working with the Mind in Motion instructors increased my core strength, it also helped me regain control I had lost due to my surgery; control my doctors weren't sure I'd ever have again. I went to Mind in Motion hoping to get a bit of a 'work out' and instead transformed my body. Li has a profound understanding of the body and instructs diligently to insure proper placement, breath, and engagement. The staff is knowledgeable and motivating, the studio is spotlessly clean, and the equipment is top notch. If your looking to just 'exercise' then go to a gym. If your looking to learn True Pilates and change your body, then go to Mind in Motion Pilates Studio.

Stacey has taught me so much of what I know about diet and exercise. I spent so many years as a…read moreperson that felt stuck in a body that NEEDED to be exercised and NEEDED to be restricted to a certain diet in order for it to work and look the way I wanted it to. It made every workout and every meal into a high stakes situation, and I found myself yoyoing between a "nice" and a "gross" body, and beating myself up over every food and exercise-related decision I made. I couldn't make any of my strategies stick, because they ultimately placed too much stress and too much of a burden on myself to be sustainable. I started to work with Stacey with this mindset. Over time, she taught me how to make fitness and healthy eating part of my routine without letting it take over every fiber of my being and also how to have a healthier mindset when it comes to my body. On top of this healthier mindset and approach, I was able to achieve the progress and results I wanted! Her "progress not perfection" approach has changed how I approach my weight, exercise, and diet. One of the biggest things that I've gained through my time with Stacey is the ability to accept that not every bit of this fitness/healthy eating journey will be perfect, but you can always find meaningful signs of progress to keep you feeling strong. On top of all of this, she is an amazing person and trainer. She is so dedicated to her clients and works so hard to help us achieve our goals in a healthy way, and never makes you feel bad about your real life getting in the way. She is always understanding, but blunt and honest about what you need to do to get where you want to be and will always tell you the truth. She makes sure you not only focus on your workouts, but also that you focus on good recovery. Finally, you'll never leave one of her workouts (whether in the small group or larger class setting) wanting more. I can confidently say that working with Stacey is the best thing I've ever done as part of this huge, endless journey that is fitness, bar none.

I knew I hit rock bottom when I didn't go home for Christmas that year and spent it alone. I felt so guilty for being "depressed". I came to Stacey as I was binge eating during my depression and focused on the 15lbs I had gained. My relationship with Stacey isn't about fitness really, it's about being able to be myself and not having to put on a mask. I was always timid about being me, but she has inspired me to be proud of who I am. I am so very thankful to have you in my life. You really mentally & physically helped me gain my life back!

(3) She listened to my feedback if an exercise wasn't challenging enough or was slightly uncomfortable, and was very quick to adapt the exercises. (4) Tia is incredibly reliable and communicative.
