Eli ran a great session: high energy, well-paced, and somehow got a bunch of coworkers to sweat together without it feeling like a corporate trust fall. Full transparency: I'm usually not a fan of classes that force you to pair up with other people (mostly because I'm lazy and prefer to suffer silently on my own), but I have to admit the partner format actually works. It's just enough accountability to keep you moving, without being overly "team-building retreat" about it. After class I took a quick lap around the facility. It's clean, well-maintained, and doesn't have that sad gym smell. Tons of class options, and now I'm very tempted by the heated yoga and the medspa... because if I'm going to work out, I'd like to be rewarded immediately afterward like a Kardashian. Everyone working there was genuinely nice and welcoming. Would absolutely take Eli's class again, and would recommend it if you want a great workout, a fun time with coworkers, or friends and the mild panic of realizing you're capable of more than you thought.

Plus I was leaving for a vacation we'd been planning forever and I wanted to feel comfortable in my clothes again for that trip. I hesitated to hire a nutritionist because I felt like I had been pretty well educated on what eating healthy looked like. But these days, between whole 30 and paleo and keto, I was having a difficult time knowing what I should focus on. Jenn gave me clear directions and delicious recipes right away. I dropped 4lb in the first week that never came back. Over the month of working with her, I dropped 8 lbs and 2". Not only that, she helped me reframe my thoughts about the scale and my body. I left for my big trip yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, Jenn!

I have been fortunate enough to know Jenn both as my personal trainer and as my nutritionist. I…read morethink the absolute best thing about Jenn is her holistic view of nutrition. It is not just about working out and eating healthy, but it is about leading a full life, whatever that may mean for you. Her background in counseling definitely comes through in all of her work, and I quickly was comfortable working with her and talking to her about my frustrations and my goals. As a nutritionist, she has a wonderful way of personalizing each session. While there are pre-planned topics for each discussion, if there is something personal going on, that always takes precedent. I started my nutrition program around the same time I started law school, so there were many stressors aside from food in my life. I definitely attribute a lot of my success in my first year to having Jenn help me work through the stress and focus and make time in my life for important things outside of school. As a trainer, Jenn is just extremely motivating and challenges you as far as you can go. She makes training fun and helps you set reachable goals, so you are constantly meeting them and setting news ones. She has innovative ideas to help you work around crazy schedules and makes sure that you are always pushing yourself. Overall, Jenn is a great person to work with and will quickly become a great friend! She is always willing to help through email, and is very flexible to meet the needs of those with demanding schedules. This year has been amazing working with her, and I look forward to continuing to do so for a very long time!

When I got started I had no idea the intake would be so thorough or that I'd even need that - turns out the profile makes a HUGEEE difference. I really didn't need a personal trainer hovering over (I've went that root & found myself not having time when they had time OR needing to reschedule allll the time). Really I just didn't know how to properly workout in a gym & needed a level of accountability. He genuinely and wholeheartedly cared about the pace I could achieve my goals and adapted everything to fit my crazy event-planning schedule. 1000/10 recommend!

My goal was to get back in shape for the summer, but what I didn't expect was how much confidence I'd regain around training in general. Ben didn't just throw workouts at me.. he rebuilt the basics, cleaned up how I moved, and programmed in a way that actually made sense for where I was at, not where I used to be. The sessions were challenging but smart. I felt athletic again without feeling beat up, and for the first time in years I looked forward to training instead of dreading it. By the time summer hit, I felt strong, lean, and capable again. What really says it all is that I didn't stop once summer ended. I'm back training now to stay consistent and build toward next year instead of starting over again. If you're a former athlete who wants to train hard, feel good, and actually stick with it, Ben is exactly who you want to work with.

Stacey has taught me so much of what I know about diet and exercise. I spent so many years as a…read moreperson that felt stuck in a body that NEEDED to be exercised and NEEDED to be restricted to a certain diet in order for it to work and look the way I wanted it to. It made every workout and every meal into a high stakes situation, and I found myself yoyoing between a "nice" and a "gross" body, and beating myself up over every food and exercise-related decision I made. I couldn't make any of my strategies stick, because they ultimately placed too much stress and too much of a burden on myself to be sustainable. I started to work with Stacey with this mindset. Over time, she taught me how to make fitness and healthy eating part of my routine without letting it take over every fiber of my being and also how to have a healthier mindset when it comes to my body. On top of this healthier mindset and approach, I was able to achieve the progress and results I wanted! Her "progress not perfection" approach has changed how I approach my weight, exercise, and diet. One of the biggest things that I've gained through my time with Stacey is the ability to accept that not every bit of this fitness/healthy eating journey will be perfect, but you can always find meaningful signs of progress to keep you feeling strong. On top of all of this, she is an amazing person and trainer. She is so dedicated to her clients and works so hard to help us achieve our goals in a healthy way, and never makes you feel bad about your real life getting in the way. She is always understanding, but blunt and honest about what you need to do to get where you want to be and will always tell you the truth. She makes sure you not only focus on your workouts, but also that you focus on good recovery. Finally, you'll never leave one of her workouts (whether in the small group or larger class setting) wanting more. I can confidently say that working with Stacey is the best thing I've ever done as part of this huge, endless journey that is fitness, bar none.

The pass lets you try 30 classes at participating gyms in the area. So Women's Fitness was my first try! The location was convenient - heart of downtown Boston off the red line (Downtown Crossing stop). The facility is in the basement of a building but very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful - showing me how to use a locker and where all the equipment was. The Tabata class itself was fantastic - I had never done it before but it was TOUGH. A great 45 minute, high intensity cardio and weight-training workout. Angela, the instructor, was very encouraging and motivating. They give you a key to a locker which is nice so you don't have to lug your stuff around. They do charge $2 per towel which is a bit insane if you ask me. Facilities: the place is pretty old and run down looking. Machines are all shoved in the back of the room and classes take place in the middle. If you take a class expect people to stare at you. Nothing gets wiped down between classes as each class is literally right after the other. You use a dirty mat you just saw someone put back. The floor is also really slippery for some reason. It is very cheap and I'm not sure how someone hasn't slipped and broke something. Class: I took the strength in motion class. Probably one of the worst classes I've ever taken. No one knew what to do half the time and you could tell. Instructor made some weird choices for the class. It wasn't 100% easy, but it wasn't challenging. It also requires you to be very coordinated which no was. Overall this was a fairly awful experience. Definitely go elsewhere if you can.

Their monthly fee would be much much higher if they would. You would expect that for $10 or 19. 99 a month the place would be filthy but we always comment on it being the cleanest PF we've visited. My only critique would it be how in many occasions you come in and the crew behind the front desk do not even look at you to the face and acknowledge you're signing in. they are usually on their phones watching something or texting, if not they are hiving conversations amongst themselves. it's sad because sometimes when can have a question or concern and they might not seem approachable. I had a very bad experience with one of the employees just by the way he answered to my question. he and some of them seem to have a rough attitude. In the same way, I give props to a staff who mentioned he only works on weekends. He was extra nice to me and my husband with our concerns, very professional and welcoming. We mentioned how we appreciated him welcoming us by our names as we signed in, so much so that we went back to him and we're able to clarify our doubts on memberships and using the "relaxation zone". We mentioned our experience with other employees and he appologized for the experience and told us how management is working on making the customer service experience much better there. He was very polite and ethic about his fellow co-workers praising them for being hard workers and making us see (without underlining it) that them not acknowledging us or being on their phones constantly is really a minor thing compared to how they are good workers at keeping the gym in tip top shape . I don't want to be wrong but both me and my husband think his name was George or Gregory. We will certainly look for him when we come back in town and hopefully see him or people like him during weekdays.
