Dropped by here on a Saturday night to play pool and have a couple of drafts. Atmosphere is super chill! Music is GREAT - my friends and myself had such a fun time. Bartenders were lively and super friendly. Drinks are inexpensive!

Solid A-OK plus an extra star for speedy service and friendly patrons. Was killing time waiting for Kris to open his RockerDogz Gourmet Street Dogz stand (http://www.yelp.com/biz/rockerdogz-gourmet-street-dogz-san-antonio) when he set up next to The Korova (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-korova-san-antonio). Since The Korova did not really strike us as a place to kill time, we landed here and are glad we did. Mickey's on tap was the special and my brother and I downed a few of those before heading back out to see if Kris was ready.

Definitely a Metal Bar. Relaxed people in a hardcore atmosphere with great drink specials. My party sat down with a few drinks and ogled the Metal memorabilia on the walls, and as I looked up I saw a demon baby staring down at me. A DEMON BABY! I elbowed my boyfriend to see if maybe it was just time for me to push the glass away and pointed up. It was not just me. There is a Demon Baby on one of the speakers in Bond's. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE A PLACE THAT IS HOME TO A DEMON BABY??????

Great bar with a cool laid back staff. Awesome place to see live music on the weekends with some random shows during the week.

I really enjoyed this bar. Its not a typical bar you'd find just anywhere and my case my friend and I just so happen to stumble on it one night. Its a really chill laid back bar with your jukebox radio to play your favorite classic rock hits, shoot some pool and knock back some cheap good beer/drinks. I'm from cali and if I can compare this to one of my favorite bars back home it would be "The Anarchy Library Bar" while being here I got to meet really awesome people and have some have toasts for platonic love. Anyway, fun bar, shoot some pool, get your moneys worth on a well deserved hang over. Definetly will return and catch a show!

I agree with Tricia here, I am not sure why it's named Bond's 007 if there's no Bond's theme inside but that aside, this was a pretty cool spot downtown. The beers are big. BIG if you get 'em on draft and ice cold, which is always a huge plus. Nothing too fancy, nothing too expensive and you can take Jager shots out of an ice luge, which is always a klassy touch to an evening! The bartender was super friendly. The patrons were just hanging out. I feel like it is the kind of place that can get rowdy, but it definitely wasn't rowdy at all the night I was in (a Thursday about 10pm). What I thought was super cool was the music, from a jukebox and the night I was in we were listening to a bunch of old Johnny Cash and the like, which I love. You can play pool or darts or other bar games, you can hang out at the tables, jam at the jukebox, or just grab a stool by the bar like we did and chat up the bartenders. Oh and one more thing. The bathrooms are super clean. I was actually really impressed to find such nice bathrooms in a bar like this. They even have a dry erase board for you to leave messages about how you love your boyfriend 4-EVA and EVA!

Best Rock Bar in town. My band plays here once in a while and we are always treated right. Frank the sound guy does a great job as well as the staff. Downstairs jukebox is the best in town, hands down. If you want to hang out and drink some BIG beers, this is your spot.

I find myself here quite often. The hubby plays here alot. I love the atmosphere, it is totally rock and roll and loud. Don't expect to have any conversations and you voice to be strained. I haven't spent much time in the downstairs bar other than ordering something on draft. The layout seems to flow and the decor is way interesting. I spend most most of my time upstairs in the stage area. I myself haven't had much luck on drinks. I had a draft of shocktop previously and was pretty sure another beer was infused in there. This last time around my husband ordered me some sort of girly drink that was made up of cherry syrup and not much of anything else. I suggest sticking with bottled beer.

Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned. Can't wait to do another Moz Smiths Disco here. -- Panic On The Streets of San Antonio

They were happy to answer my questions and I was never made to feel rushed. The bar itself has an awesome vibe. It's divey but offer fancy drinks. The bar has a stage (we've seen FEA perform there) and they have ample seating (tables, couches, stools, etc). I also enjoy how each couch area is its own living room setup (think of what you see when shopping for couches/coffee tables) and feel/vibe. I make it a point to come and visit this bar any time I'm in San Antonio. We love supporting Phanie and her bands in any way possible. Girl in a Coma and FEA 4ever!

I know it and I…read morewas super excited to see Slow Ride come up as an option for me and my sister to pop in and catch up over some drinks. Parking along the street is free (along the fence line of Sam Houston) and was not an issue even for a holiday. There is a paid parking lot that is secure and available too so note that if ever you have an issue finding a good spot. Walking into Slow Ride is like walking into your tio's (uncle) or a grandpa's cool, 70's/80;s vibey, and home-y bar. This is the kind of spot where every picture you take of yourself, or your friends, will look like you took it in the 80's! This is not a bad thing either. Seriously. It IS A VIBE here! Cushy seats at the bar was my favorite spot to hang out while we had some cold beers and a shot to go alongside it too. They have beer and shot combos here around $8. You get plenty of choices on beer and liquor of choice. I opted for a tallboy Lonestar and a small shot of the Mexican Candy. My sister got a Live Oak Hefe in a can (she likes Blue Moon so this was the closest thing to it and she liked it!) and later a Shiner in a bottle. I also decided to close out with a daiquiri that was super delicious and offered in nice glassware. Patio out in the back is spacious and a great spot to hang out with a group of friends. The back space is taken care of and has a modern look to it out there. I can see it being a nice vibe outside on a pretty day too. Jukebox is legit! All great music selections from all genres on CDs and pretty cheap too to play 5-8 songs. The artwork around here is worth a look around too. I love all the unique Garfield toys surrounding the bar area too. All of the back bar is so great with the wooden shelving and lighting too. You can see many honorable nods to those who currently or have served. It's a great thing to see especially so close to Sam Houston. One thing I have a pet peeve on is any service bar who has to keep my card on file. I am the worst person who won't remember so I have to be extra careful when bars keep my card. I usually walk and don't mind paying the 20+% tab walk fee but I do want my card back so I have to get everyone who is with me to remind me to go get it. That's why I am giving it 4 stars. I am looking forward to coming back in the future and bringing some more family and friends, though. This spot is so nostalgic and their social is super active and will promote DJs and sets happening that week and into the weekend. Go check them out and play some pool. You're gonna feel like you are in a Matthew McConaughey movie when you do. Tell me I am wrong!!!
