I was instructed by my physician to get a COVID test due to the salon being closed on Sunday and Monday I could not contact them to cancel my appointment. I could have gone in and risked staff and clients however, having a medical background in infectious diseases and vaccine research at Johns Hopkins I chose to cancel when I was advised to by my physician. I was charged $75 on an old credit card that didn't even belong to me. The owner has refused to return my calls. I found a new salon that is willing to await my test results. I gave them my physicians phone number as well as the confirmation for my test. They did not care about me, their clients or staff. It was all about the money! read more

I've been going to Bondi Blonde for almost two years now and I refuse to ever go elsewhere. I'd fly across the country to get my hair done here. Kahtlin, who is the salon owner, does my hair and every single time I go in, I'm happy with the results. She's a color guru and is able to miraculously choose shades and tones that work perfectly with my skin tone-- which is no small feat as I have the darkest hair on the color spectrum and am always asking for something drastically new. I've sent multiple friends to her that have completely different hair color and textures (most were blonde) and they've all come back raving. Not to mention, I decided last year I wanted a chop and I came out with a chic and edgy cut that I adored. The salon is cute, clean, well decorated and all the stylists working there are friendly and don't hesitate to strike up a conversation with you. Horrible experience. The girl gave me the exact haircut the I didn't want. AN old lady haircut. I told her I was trying to grow it out and needed it shaped. She even asked me what length that I wanted on the sides and I told her then she blamed me for her cutting it way too short because i didnt tell her to stop. After She does one side it's a little too late. She said she only cut it an 1/2 inch. She cut an inch to 2 inches off everywhere but the top. She didn't listened to anything that I said I wanted. Completely disappointed with how the color of my hair turned out. Went in wanting to go lighter and came out darker with uneven color all over my head. Then I was rushed out of the door for the next customer, left with wet hair to come home to 5 different colors on my hair. Truly felt as if they didn't care about their new customers. It's more important to push you out the door with and get the next customer in right before the holidays. Then want to charge full price to get it fixed. read more

The kind of salon that does not care about their clients!! I called the salon and spoke with secretary. I said " please schedule me with someone who is good with color as I will need several" I usually go to new York for my hair, but being military we are here now so I didn't want to travel that far. Big mistake! I went in on sat for a cut, highlight and all over color. Took 3.5 hours I brought in a picture of myself with that color and I've had it done in NY several times, I figured someone that knew color could do it no problem. First I asked for all over color and a highlight. The girl who did my hair then asked the owner( blonde hair- never got her name) and she said it would be better for me to get lowlights and highlights instead. They used my own blonde I had for my highlights and put in some brown. The brown turned out awful! Lighter than I chose! I told them I did not like it. They charged me $ 120 plus tip! I tipped because its not the girls fault She was un training!!!!That was after I complained!! They then asked me to come back 5 days later to fix it!! I came back to hear the owner talking about me to another customer right behind my back!!!! Making excuses for the reason the color didn't turn out right!!! Instead of an apology I got an excuse and not even to my face!! I was appalled!! This has NEVER happened to me in my life!! Turns out girl working on my hair is in training and this is a new place. They put highlights in my hair to "fix" the color. It's awful. I will never return. My friends I work with won't be their either! Very unprofessional!! So rude! The owner apparently does not care about making her clients happy- unfortunate for her because being military spouse I have A LOT of people asking me about where to go around here for everything! I came to this salon after reading the reviews. However it's upsetting I have to leave a negative review. I went to the salon with previously colored hair which was established when I set the appointment a month and a half earlier. Once I got there the women who did my hair must of forgot about the previous color as I wasn't asked about any other hair coloring I had done during what I assume was our consultation. I went with brown hair and some minor highlights for a full head of highlights in the hopes of going even lighter. I was told it would be no problem. I had highlights put on and sat in the foils for too long. The product began melting off down my forehead. I was taken to wash where the stylist used olapex on my hair without informing me of this during the consultation. I have (had) long thick hair that has always been healthy and never ever had issues highlighting as i have been getting highlights for years. I was in the washer for a few minutes before my scalp went numb and the product needed to be washed out. At this moment all the highlighted hair melted out and broke off. This is the first time this ever happened, leaving me with breakage and a bald spot. The hair wasn't toned properly and I was sent off with 3 different colors of hair. I have since received multiple opinions from multiple professionals including reps from olaplex and the only thing anyone can think is the chemicals were not mixed properly and the foils were left on to long not to mention I should have been toned before I left with hair that was un wearable. I even kindly requested a refund after realizing I would need to pay another $300 for a color correction but was completely ignored. Needless to say I will not be going back to this salon !! read more

I had been growing my hair out for about six months. My first visit to this salon was with Jordan. That was my first mistake. Why doesn't a stylist ask questions and listen to what the client wants? And how about giving an even cut? I called the salon and asked if the manager could re-cut my hair but was told she was booked. They instead scheduled me with Theresa. That was my second mistake. I told her I didn't want it any shorter on top, I just want the cut even - there was a large area in back where the layers were longer on one side. Theresa has standing appointments with elderly women for their weekly sets. When she told me that, she had already started cutting my hair or I would have got up and left. When she was finished styling it, I told her I looked like an old lady. Needless to say, my hair is shorter now than it was before I started growing it out. And Theresa should also limit her non-stop talking. Or at least don't interrupt her client when she is speaking. This salon needs a lot of help if it is going to survive. At 5pm on a Thursday, they had two stylists working. They have at least six chairs. read more

I have been getting my hair done there for years with Kaitlin. She is definitely an extremely good colorist so I give her 4 stars for color. Unfortunately she does not give a good hair cut. It is more of a blunt cut than a point cut. My hair is thick so needs texturizing but she is not good at that. Several times she has pulled out those thinning shears but they leave holes in my hair. I prefer a stylist to use scissors or a razor when taking weight out of my hair. She doesn't go through the haircut good enough after blow drying because she is missing some areas (high spots) I will continue to use her for color unless the new shop I am trying does as good with color then I will switch over. The products that she sells in the salon are good but extremely expensive. $40 for most products. Twice as much as most salons. read more

I made an appointment here a few years ago after my stylist moved away. I would never go anywhere else now! They do every service imaginable-hair, waxing, facials, manicures/pedicures, extensions, eyelashes, spray tanning, and makeup. Every service I have ever had (and I've done about them all!) has been great and appropriately priced. The girls are knowledgeable, place is clean, and it's a nice environment. The thing I like the most, is the Bondi Blonde offers services other salons do not like Minx or the crystal pedicures.
