Although it's still being developed, the park offers a nice paved walking path (and a natural path) that winds through the wooded area. There's a small playground (made out of natural wood materials ) for the younger kids and an outdoor amphitheater and a small picnic shelter, and all along the path are benches available to sit and watch the surrounding activity, if that's your preference. I also saw the frames for the short zipline, but am not sure when or if it's operating. Dogs are allowed on the paths, and there a plenty of stations available to pick up after your furry friend, and future plans appear to include a dog park, disc golf that's under construction, an open field and bike trails. It was pretty quiet the day I was there, early in the morning before the heat kicked in, so I had plenty of time to explore. Although it's in a wooded area, the trees are cut back from the path leaving plenty of room to walk. That's going to be useful as more people find this place and take advantage of all it offers.

The lake has benches on the grass near the shore, ample parking, trash cans, lost and found, restrooms, water fountains, dog waste stations, posted rules, weight scale, and marked trails. The retreat center has a large, clean deck with picnic tables and umbrellas. The deck provides a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of bird sounds (mainly from the geese). Inside they have resources and reptiles. Excellent area in Holly Springs to learn, exercise, fish, and appreciate nature.

The zombie paintball hayride was more hayride, less paintball, and even less zombies. The event starts when you load up into a tractor which takes you on a 15 minute trip through the woods until you get to the "mounted" tractor. Each rider has their own paintball gun and ~100 paintballs. Once the tractor starts rolling you'll get a handful of practice shots before you reach the "zombies", which consisted of a couple of teenagers in paintball gear making noises and a whole lot of clothing stapled to trees as scarecrows. The "zombie paintball" part of the attraction lasts for 5 minutes or so, and then you get to shoot the rest of your ammo at exciting targets such as trees, garbage can lids, and more trees. Once that's done, you hop on the first tractor and take another 15 minute ride back to the farmhouse. In short, good idea, poor execution. The zombie portion is way too short, and the tractor ride is way too long. If you're looking to be scared, look elsewhere, as the tractor ride was by far the scariest part of the experience.

Typically the park is more crowded especially in the evenings. The park offers one basketball court, three pickleball courts, one open play field, a playground, picnic shelters and tables, parking lot, and restrooms. The park is clean and organized. Overall, we enjoyed visiting this park and recommend it to others!

Daniel and Taylor were our guides and they were wonderful and patient with the gazillion questions our grandkids had. They were very professional even when my husband tried to do more than he should have and they had to reprimand him (he had been zipling on the "Green Bull" in Puerto Rico so he thought he could push the limits). The grandkids loved it and said it was their favorite part of the trip we were on. Anyways we will definitely be back to try the many other adventures they have. My answer came with Ethan. Nominally he was our referee and babysitter. But in reality... in reality he was our gunnery sergeant; our centurion from days of yore! He filled our air, fixed our masks, and marched us off to chow! He taught us the ways of paintball and we taught him a little about life. I love exploring the local greenways, but find it is sometimes difficult to know where to pick up…read morethe trail. We have opted to park near Green Level High School in the adjacent parking lot, from there you will have to walk about .25 of a mile to access the trail. We have gone in both directions of the trail. If you cross under the road, that direction is a bit more shaded. It took us behind a bunch of larger homes and eventually connects to the American Tobacco Trail. I prefer to go in the other direction where there is more sun, especially during the winter time. A lot of the trail is a boardwalk and it is kept up quite nicely, we have taken our preferred route all the way down, under 540 and turn around by 55. This is a great place to go for some exercise. We see runners, bikers and lot of dog walkers. It's nice because it isn't as crowded as popular spots like Apex Community Park.

An AMAZING experience at Jordan Lake for a first time camper as myself. My husband and I spent 2…read morenights camping at Jordan Lake and before we left we were planning our next trip. Jordan Lake has several campgrounds. You have to reserve for your location based on campground. Check-in is at 3:00. We stayed at Popular Point. Our site was pre-selected at the time of reservation. Staff were amazing friendly and helpful. As a first time camper it really was about location, location, location. Our site was next to the lake which made fishing easy. My husband caught a bass and a catfish. Fellow campers were friendly. We were supplied with electricity and water at the site. There are shower houses on every loop and they are CLEAN. Warm water with great pressure. This shower was better than some hotels I have stayed. Pet and family friendly. I cannot say enough great things about Jordan Lake; go visit for yourself.
