Anyway, this rarely happens but I couldn't finish my bowl. Partly because it was a large portion but honestly I wasn't feeling100%. The broth was slightly salty (as compared to the Shoyu broth) and it was rich. They put in a raw egg into the broth and added a generous amount of fatty pork. On an ordinary day, the richness wouldn't have bothered me and I would have eaten 90% or more of the bowl. I focused on eating the veggies (bean sprouts and bok choy), the ramen itself, and only some of the pork. Service was ok. Boy, this was such a bad decision. First of all, if you order anything that requires a grill, they make you order two portions (I'm assuming because it's a hassle to get the grill out and heated). Our two portions were ridiculously small, and each portion was about 290 kc which is absurd. Each portion had maybe three pieces of meat? Which is so unreasonable. Secondly, the meat was really weird. I've grilled galbi numerous times before, as had the friend who was with me, and we've never seen raw galbi like this. The texture was very grainy and the meat was basically all bones... barely any meat. It ended up tasting okay, but that's definitely what galbi is supposed to taste like. The third annoying aspect was that the waiter was being absurdly condescending to us because we weren't Korean. Which is just about the stupidest thing that I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I've experienced racism abroad, that's nothing new. But racism in a restaurant? That's just rude especially because we're paying so much to eat there. The waiter just kept giving my friend and I crap for not being Korean since we asked whether or not it was really two portions because it was one plate with barely any meat and we weren't sure how long we were supposed to grill it.. We also ordered the za jiang mian (not sure of the Korean spelling) which was absurdly overpriced but not bad actually. Too much sauce for my liking, but a good portion to share with a friend also, every single time I've come back, the side dishes get worse. Don't have high hopes for that. tldr; the other normal food and safer choices (bibimbap, udon, etc) are great options. I think some of the other authentic dishes might have been okay, but stay away from the galbi which is absurdly priced and not authentic at all.

Sushi bars in the US tend to be a bit formal in appearance or very plainly decorated. Sushi Oishi is bright, welcoming, and small as are many places in Japan. If you are in the area of Municipal House this small restaurant is worth a visit. We came in mid-afternoon since it is very busy at lunch and dinner. I had Salmon ramen without Egg because personally I dislike eggs. The salmon was cooked and tasted very good with the whole meal. I also tried the house made line cucumber water, which wasn't really my thing. Now I knocked one star off for the fact on my second visit to this place my order was made wrong and I tried the udon noodles which I found to be a tad too oily for me. When ordering speak clearly and for added insurance POINT directly at what you want and say it. The restaurant plays loud music so telling your order should be crystal clear.
