During our conversation she asked me my age and I told her 41. At that time she said she didn't have as many clients in the age range of my preference, but she said we could stay in touch in the future just in case she had someone come in asking for someone my age. But a few days later, Michele called me to let me know after we spoke, she changed her mind and decided to expand her age of clients and that I had persuaded her to do so. She was very up front over the phone about expectations and policies and what I needed to do. She set an appointment for me to come down and meet her to go over everything more in detail including the fee. Updating my review, I hope that Yelp doesn't hide it again. I've been in Michele's service for close to three years. While I haven't met the right guy yet, I know that Michele is still looking for me--that is the value of signing up with a legitimate matchmaker with an open-ended contract. It gives you time until the right person appears. The men I have met through her service are high quality individuals. Who knows, maybe the next guy I meet through her service will be my last first date. :) Michele is also ethical and won't accept clients who she knows won't fit in with her clientele. In my mind, this makes her really trustworthy. She is direct, incredibly supportive and empathetic--she genuinely cares about her clients and the service she provides. I know she has my best interests in mind because she vets potential clients. Her service is very hands on and she coaches her clients--so you have to be able to communicate honestly with good rapport. She has been doing this for 30 years. This is her calling. Only a person confident in their service and with a strong track record of success would offer an open-ended contract (all the other local services in town contract for a certain period of time and charge, in my humble opinion, confiscatory amounts). I reached out to Michelle and she was very prompt in getting back to me. I am simply exhausted of dating apps and websites. I had also tried "It's Just Lunch" which is just a complete joke and waste of money. I am 35 and attractive and was generally concerned that the types of guys who hire a matchmaker wouldn't be the type of men that I am interested in. After talking to Michelle for an hour via a phone consult I learned a ton about her service and I think what she brings to the table is very unique. She does a full intake with you in person, gets photos etc. and unlike other services, you actually get to see the photos of your matches and explore information about them BEFORE you are sent to meet them. This is a game changer because I cannot tell you how many other services don't let you see photos so it's like going in blind. Also her rates are on a sliding scale, there is an upfront fee - just once - then you pay a $35 per match/date you go on as she has to work each time to set you up. I was rated as "more desirable / matchable" so my rate was a little higher but its right on par with what most other services are charging. I am a client of Michele's. I've been on a few first dates with some high quality women, but they weren't matches for one reason or another. None of those reasons had to do with Michele and the work/thought process she puts in to making the introduction. Many comments on here speak to her communication style. Yes, she's very direct. Some people appreciate that, some don't, so consider your own personality in that regard. For my part, I appreciate knowing her thoughts and the honest feedback of my matches. This is not the apps, but that's why you're considering a matchmaker, right? It's not a high volume proposition, but you have the piece of mind in knowing that 1) her asking if you'd like an introduction to a potential match has had considerable thought before it even gets to you and 2) you always have the option of declining an introduction. I had my first introduction in 2 weeks and my experience with Michele has exceeded my expectations. Bon Jour focuses on having clients meet quality people. This service is what I would think of when I think about matchmaking. It is clear, deliberate and collaborative. I joined in 2014 and have met a man who I've been dating since a couple of months after I came in for my initial interview. No, it didn't happen right away, but Michele explained to me that there is no way to know how long this will take. A lot of it depends on me, how picky I am, how I am in a relationship, etc. I was willing to give it time because the quick fixes have not worked for me. There is an open ended contract which is the only one I've ever heard of so I know that no matter how long it took I would be willing to meet the right man. I got lucky and it seems to have happened pretty fast. I've heard that is not always the case. I paid a minimal fee of $2,000 which based on other prices I've been quoted is most reasonable and it seems to have been worth every penny. You get lots of information about each client both on a profile and pictures and from Michele's personal interaction. Anyway I am hopeful this is the one but if he isn't I will be more than patient until the right person comes in and we are matched. read more

She makes sure that she vets through her clients Men and Women to truly understand her clients to then make the best matching using quality and not quantity vs other companies out there that are a Dating Mill which i have participated in and there is no quality at all. She cares about her clients and takes the time to also help coach or clear up any miscommunication issues which you wont get this from others. Although I was shown several women who were a good fit for me I decided what order I was interested in meeting them along with Michelle's input. Going into an introduction with so much information and photos started it out on a comfortable and good footing.
