The CS Independent is a local newspaper that features fun articles on topics ranging from local…read morefood and drink to music and culture. They host some fun competitions, and that's actually what brought me in the door! The staff was super warm and friendly, and I really enjoyed chatting for a few minutes. I was there because I had won a gift certificate from one of their competitions with Instagram challenges included for guests! I won a gift card to a local restaurant because of my photo - I thought this was such a fun way to engage readers!

This is a nice bookstore. Yes, it's your typical Barnes & Noble chain, but you can always count on…read moreit to have a good selection of each genre and is always fun to browse through. My husband and I come just to grab some books and read/skim them while enjoying a coffee. This Barnes & Noble has a nice big Starbucks attached (it's separate - so you have to purchase of leave B&N merchandise before going in) but it does make it nice to get a coffee and wander the bookstore. The one downside to this B&N is that a few months ago they rearranged a lot of the store to make room for games, Legos, movies, and a lot of non-book related things ... Kind of taking away from the whole enjoyment of a store just for books!

I called for over 2 weeks including the release date since the store is an hour away only to then be told I'd get an email when the book came in but it could be a week or two after its release. Seriously? Who wants to wait 1-2 weeks after a book you've already been waiting on gets released?! I ordered the book a month in advance. Never got that email, stopped calling, ordered the book the day before from Amazon and had it on my front porch the day it came out. Thanks for nothing Barnes and Noble. Also, you cost more.

Today my 9 year old finally let go of his book collection and wanted to buy his little sister and little brother some Christmas presents.. unfortunately the teenage looking poorly groomed authoritative type employee perched from his chair barking orders (Nathan) felt the need to send us away because the photo id option on the Colorado government app was not a sufficient source of proper identification for our book donation .... 2nd Charles your in need of some accountability for ur staff it seems. We took the books and dropped them off at goodwill and will happily put our money toward Amazon this year instead of our neighborhood book store along with never visit this location going forward
