Had an absolutely perfect lunch outside today! We showed up around 1pm on a gorgeous Saturday and scored one of the last outside tables. It's first come first serve for outside dining, but they do take reservations for indoor dining. They just recently started seating out on the pier too; our server told us it was actually the first day of doing so. We kept it sober for dry January by opting for mocktails - the cucumber refresher was so light and delicious! But they had an extensive cocktail and wine list, so if that' what you're looking for you won't be disappointed. The bread rolls were nice and crusty & the butter was on the slaty side in a good way. Our meals were top notch; my friend got the encrusted salmon & I got the duck. She really enjoyed her's; the portion size was great! My duck was an entire half, so it definitely could be split between two people honestly. The maple glaze was the perfect sweetness and the meat was cooked to perfection. The sweet potatoes paired so well with the flavors happening here. We made sure to save space for dessert and went with the crème brûlée - perfectly done, wonderfully rich, and the berries paired with it were peak ripeness. Our waitress was wonderfully sweet, but seemed to have quite a few tables to manage, so there were some delays at times. But honestly with a view so nice and food of such great quality, I don't mind sitting around and enjoying it all. read more

Not sure where to start but here goes . Food was very good but came all at once . Appetizer, salad, and entree . Our biggest concern was how our waiter from Serbia ( never got his name ) ripped us off by serving us 9oz glass of wine without offering the 6 oz .i ordered the surf and turf special the was supposed to be $97. That was fine . However, the waiter intentionally charged me for a filet mignon $55 and a lobster tail $55. This was criminal behavior and he should be let go . We been at the restaurant man times but won't be back . I am a physician in the Tampa area and will be warning others . Thank you Charles Smithe read more

Bon Appetit Restaturant in Dunedin , our all time favorite waterfront seafood restaurant !!!! Celebrated a "mom and me exclusive belated birthday dinner" for my daughter. We chose this place because they are the only place near us where we know of that serves fresh whole Maine lobster with attached claws and all. We were doted on with service deluxe by a lovely young lady whose name is Careena, alongside with 2 other food servers...talking about VIP treatment!!! The dinner lobsters were huge and baked to perfection! The shrimp stuffing we asked to serve on the side and served in style! Careena (beautiful outstanding service with a smile always) got us started with complimentary champagne from the start, and food and beverages, hot tea in beautiful porcelain teapots and cups , with dessert and a birthday candle was so nicely presented. Oh and not to forget the freshly baked rolls and rolled butter just first class all the way...fine dining at its best! Went home so happy, that even the valet parking attendant was so courteous , we were so pleased with our overall VIP treatment/experience! Manager Hugo greeted us on our way out and that added a warm welcome even more! Kudos to the management and staff of the amazing Bon Appetit Restaurant...Looking to book our next special event here in a couple of weeks. read more

Never fails to provide excellent service, food and drinks. Our go to for seafood, sunset views, and good good. Live music often.

Good food and friendly service. Beautiful view. On one occasion we're able to observe a group of dolphins frolicking.

We had a nice time celebrating Brian's Birthday at Bon Appétit Seafood Restaurant with fantastic food, an upscale atmosphere, and beautiful sunset views on the water in Downtown Dunedin. The AHI TUNA appetizer came with Pepper-Dusted Chilled Ahi Tuna with Shaved Ginger, Avocado Wasabi Smash, Sliced Cucumbers and Ponzu Glaze 9/10 The SEAFOOD TOWER FOR TWO appetizer came with Chilled 1¼ lb. Maine Lobster, Stone Crab Claws, Large Shrimp, Mussels & Oysters on the Half Shell 10/10 The STONE CRAB CLAWS appetizer came Served Cold with Bon Appétit Mustard Sauce 8/10 The BOUILLABAISSE came with Shrimp, Mussels, Scallops & Florida Grouper in a Saffron & Garlic Fumet with a French Baguette & Saffron Aioli. 9/10 The SURF & TURF came with a delicious 8 oz. Lobster Tail with a 8 oz. Filet Mignon. 10/10 The Pan seared Chilean Seabass came served over crispy Arrancini with a smoked Paprika Beurre 9/10 Our server was friendly and attentive. Our meal was not rushed. Do not come if you're in a hurry. The venue was upscale with white table cloths and great seafood options. Our table was in air-conditioning but over the water with a great view of the water and the sunset! There is plenty of window seating and patio seating available to outside! There's an adorable dock that goes out to a fantastic dolphin statue with pretty blue lighting where we were able to capture a nice family shot! If you're in the Dunedin area and looking for a nice view and a nice seafood meal, definitely try Bon Appétit! read more

Took my parents here for lunch while visiting from Boston and we loved it!! Our server was amazing and made the experience wonderful. Also the best pasta and salad I've had in a long time. Especially coming from Boston and having amazing Italian food. Ambiance is wonderful. They had live music and you have a wonderful breeze from the bay. We sat outside but inside is also gorgeous. read more

I was working through lunch and new to the area so I thought I'd treat myself to something good. The restaurant is located on the water and a beautiful place to enjoy your meal. However, the escagot was so overcooked and mushy that I could hardly tell if it was escagot or some piece of meat or fat. The roasted duck was so dried tasting like cardboard and appearing as if it had been under the warmer for days and there was no juice left; the roasted carrots that came with it was so soft that you'd not need teeth to eat them; there was hardly any spinach. Bottom line, this is not acceptable to be served in a fine dining establishment and was not justified the $60 I spent for lunch. I'd not order from them again nor take my family there. read more

On Saturday 7/12/25, we walked down to the marina, thinking we would just grab a cocktail and check out the restaurant. Place has a lovely outdoor area with live music and a bar; however, due to the heat and the humidity, we slid up to the inside bar for our cocktails. It is a bit more formal looking inside. We were all casually dressed. Took a look at the menu and liked what we saw so we inquired about reserving a table for dinner. We were in town for a celebration of life for a family member. Before we knew it our dinner group grew to a party of 14. Without hesitation, the hostess was able to accommodate our large and somewhat rambunctious group. Can't say enough good things about our server Sierra! She rolled with the punches with our group and did a great job with service which can always be challenging with such a large party. Everyone at our table raved about what they had ordered. Four of us opted to split an order of the ahi pokie, calamari, half a dozen oysters on the half shell. I also had a bowl of the lobster bisque, which was terrific and had lots of pieces of lobster. The oysters tasted so fresh and the red sauce did not need any additional horseradish because it was perfect just the way it was. Oh and the desserts! We split a crème brûlée and Keylime pie between four. We could've licked the plates clean because it was so tasty. Another family member had the coconut cream pie, which he inhaled. Probably the only negative I could have commented on would be that it was a bit loud in the restaurant due to several birthday celebrations. However the pianist Karen, who was sitting near our table, certainly made the ambience much better and she even took requests. To cap off our wonderful evening, we were graced with the most spectacular sunset! Love, love this place and when we get back to Dunedin, we will return. read more

What I can say, We went back and it was a whole experience from sunset bar to the whole dinner and premium service. It was more than sitting and enjoying the good food, it was about having a good moment and celebrating my wife's birthday. Oysters from the Maryland's cold waters were amazing, grouper, whole lamb rack with pistachios crust and sauté veggies. Creme brûlée perfect balance being sweet but not that sweet. We closed the evening being the last ones to leave. Live piano music was the touch. Great experience . read more

A++ for the setting (we were there for my brother's wedding, but I'd say the same for the bar/restaurant) and B+ for the food. Wonderful, friendly, attentive service, and the beautiful indoor banquet room upstairs was positively the closest you could be to having an outdoor wedding without melting into a puddle in the June FL heat!! Beautiful views, multiple spots both inside and out for pictures, and looks like it's quite the hotspot to drink/dine, both inside and out. Worth checking out, if you're in the area... Just be aware of possible parking issues if there's a special event. read more

Went back to this restaurant after several years and it still was a perfect spot for dinner and drinks. Good service. Nice location on the water and indoor and outdoor seating are a plus. Plenty of food options. Drink options are also plentiful. The food is very tasty and the while some may find the prices high, I think they are in line with the restaurant type and offerings. Some reviews mention the age of the diners. Personally I would prefer to be in a place where everyone isn't on their cellphone and have kids running around or making lots of noise. Plenty of options out there. Keep trying and you will find one that fits your personal preference I am sure. read more

Beautiful setting on the intracoastal waterway and delicious fresh seafood, excellent service.....Never disappoints!

The view outside was nice if you looked straight ahead, but the outdoor area of this restaurant was filthy. For what they charge, a clean space is warranted--they need a day where the whole staff grabs rags and soapy water and gets to work. We ordered two very watered-down Diet Cokes for $6.50 and two grouper sandwiches with poor presentation: thick, and I mean thick, one individual 3/4 inch slice of red onion and one 1/2 inch slice of tomato with two small scraps of fish on top--for $25 each. So bun, an onion slice, a tomato slice, and flavorless fish scrap, all for $25. We also ordered a basic burger with Brie cheese on top for $18. The cheese wasn't fully melted--one side was jiggly like flan, while the other looked like normal Brie. Appetizing, right? I'm not kidding--save your money. Go to Five Guys for a burger or McDonald's for a fish sandwich. Our total for three disappointing sandwiches, two Coke flavored waters, subbing 1 regular fry for sweet potato fry up charge of $1.50 lol (not mentioned on the menu), water, tax, tip came to $94.32. I don't mind paying for good food, but this was far from it. I mentioned my disappointment the food that came out on our plates to the waitress and still left her a 20% tip since the poor quality wasn't her fault, though she really didn't seem to care much at all. I took my dad here for his birthday lunch, with my mom joining us. They didn't have to say a word--I could tell from their expressions that they were just as disappointed with their meals. I had a bad feeling even before the food arrived. To make things worse, I watched as the food was set down on a service table just a couple of feet away, where it sat waiting for our server to bring it over, despite the restaurant not being busy. Other waitresses were just chatting and hanging out, waiting for our server to come over and hand us our plates instead of helping to ensure our food was delivered promptly. Bottom line: save your money, please, you've been warned. Don't be fooled by the location by the water--this place is not the cute spot it appears to be. The food is bad, the service is indifferent, and the prices are outrageous for what you get. Spend your money somewhere that actually cares about the quality they're serving. I would not recommend this place for a special occasion, a holiday, if you're passing through and need a bite, keep on driving bc the disappointment was real. $94.32 for the above, come on. For lunch? Never again. read more

Disappointing for the money, at least at the Thanksgiving buffet. For $99 I'd expected real carved turkey and all they had was turkey "loaf" (processed). Stuffing was pretty good, though. There were a lot of choices on the buffet; vegetables were hit-and-miss with some undercooked and some just right. Dessert selections were adequate but nothing to get excited about--I think the cheesecake in the freezer case at Publix is tastier. I'd have been happy if it were half the price, but not for 99% of a hundred bucks. On the plus side, the service was beyond terrific (our waitress was exceptional) and the views are very nice. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Dunedin. You just can't beat the views and the food is always so good. It is definitely on the pricier side, but i would expect such from a fine dining establishment on the water. The service is always attentive, even on the busiest of nights. Fantastic atmosphere, Great Service. We chose the 4 course Mothers Day lunch in the main restaurant. Firstly, the place is beautiful. The outdoor bar is gorgeous and spacious (and has TVs which I find is lacking with outdoor bars sometimes!) The indoor dining room has a beautiful view of the water with floor to ceiling windows, it feels like you're on a cruise ship or something. We came here with a group of 10 for my birthday. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The dinner rolls (not something I usually care about or even eat) were outstanding. I started with some oysters which were tasty and fresh, served with a delicious mignonette. I had the scallops which were delicious. A few people got the ribeye and opinions varied greatly on it. My husband got the NY strip Oscar and said the steak itself was delicious but the crab topping wasn't good. I got tiramisu as my birthday treat which was tasty. The waiter also gave me a voucher for a free bottle of champagne on my next visit which I thought was a nice gesture. After dinner we sat at the bar outside and watched the sun set. I had 3 different martinis - dirty martini, key lime pie martini, and chocolate martini. They were all excellent however they were not strong at all. Bar service outside was great. Ambiance is for sure a 10/10. Service 9/10 Food 7/10. I will absolutely return (to use my voucher) but also to sit at the outdoor bar! read more

I would give it zero stars if that were an option. I ordered a filet medium + and it came out well done. Told the server and got am "I'm sorry about that" then she walked away no offer to make it correct. Booked on open table and asked the restaurant for a surprise dessert for a birthday guest in attendance. Didn't get that. Our server was horrible. I had to get other servers to bring us extra wontons for the crab avacado app. I had to get another server agin to bring some more bread for the mussels (which were the only great tasting item we had out of 6). We had our server re-fill our drinks once I had to get others the other 2 times. They weren't even that busy either. This place has NOSEDIVED in quality and service. The views and atmosphere are elite but the food quality and service are equal to Denny's. I sadly will never be back. read more
