The experience at the shop is very high end and she uses/sells great products, but she hasn't increased her prices so it's still very affordable. I book my appointments months in advance because she's always in high demand these days! I will never go anywhere else in the metro for my brows! She is extremely talented, always expanding her skill set as an esthetician, and totally "gets it" when it comes to brows and skin. I wish I had been going to Maria since my first brow wax as a teen 100 years ago. Pro tip: if your teenager wants a brow wax for the first time, DO NOT take them to just anyone. I found her from word of mouth- a raving review. She was able to squeeze me in last minute (omg thank you) as I'm in the process of trying for a pregnancy and she was SO accommodating to this. She is professional, from the moment walking into her studio, it is relaxing, clean and excellent experience. The appointment takes 1hr 15minutes, and the majority of that is mapping, I had approval of my brows before they were done, and she mapped them perfectly. The ink she uses is organic, and safe. It also heals to be a soft more natural look. She even told me that she was thinking about "the 70 year old me" making sure that as I age these will continue to look perfect and natural! The actual tattooing portion was as comfortable as It possibly could be, and she did use some numbing topical which helped. I expected to be met with professionalism but instead, it looks like I used Splat dye to get my color. Like I said, she was very sweet and did a great job on my hair, but I'm a bit frustrated with the unprofessional stains I have left on my head.

I ignored it at first but when I kept pulling glue out 3 days later and nearly unable to use my eye I called and went to the eye doctor. When I called the shift manager did not seem to care, her response was "oh goodness" The lady that did my service heard about it and followed up with me and suggested I speak to the actually manager instead. She was very kind and understanding and ask what I wanted done. I told her I wanted my money back and my dr bill paid for ($80) She gave me my money back for the service but told me that her district office had to handle the doctor bill. That was Friday (6/24) and I haven't heard anything other than "you're on my list to call" I'm very disappointed with all of this. My family was very panicked that permanent damage could have been done and beauty brands did not take it seriously at all. I was looking for someone who could possibly squeeze me in because I had a trip I was going on. I came across the European Wax Center at Lee Summit and I'm happy I did. Both the receptionist and the lady who did my bikini wax were kind and efficient. I'm glad everything turned out the way it did because I met Heather, an amazing woman who is obviously passionate about what she does. I'll return without a doubt; my wax looks fantastic!
