I went to Bombay for my eyebrow threading. I have been going there for years, my favorite person is Jewel, but she is out until February. I saw Gari on this visit, Jewel recommended Gari when she had her baby last year. Service is always pretty quick, the salon is small and they are still encouraging patrons to wear a mask. The staff is always kind and make sure they speak and thank you for your service. I will continue to patronize them. Threading is painful lol it doesn't get better with time...the price of beauty isn't cheap! read more

I've been here several times to get my eyebrows threaded. But this is the first time I've had to use the restroom. I asked where it was and she told me they didn't have one! Really! How are you a full service salon and you don't have a restroom. Is this per health department guidelines?? I need to call and report this! read more

The vibe was laid back and relaxed. For my 80th birthday my children decided to treat me to a dragonfly, maybe my totem creature. It was in the form of a black henna temporary tattoo with a vine and flowers added, covering a lot of my left hand and onto my wrist. The artist did it freehand and it was beautiful. To state the obvious it was a fun and unusual thing for me. It has lasted longer than expected and started fun conversations with strangers. I will do it again. read more

This establishment is racist to African Americans. I used to go to this place religiously to get my eyebrows done but one day after another increase in prices I did not tip. They told me I had to tip to which I responded a tip is given based on the customers satisfaction with services it is not obligated. Ever since that day when I go to get eyebrows I get turned away they refuse me service and say the people aren't working when they are sitting in the back talking. One of the employees Gauri is awful she is the one who started all of this mess. I would not recommend this establishment and I would never return here for services ever again. read more

I wanted to like them and I kept giving them chances.. today was truly my last one. I did have me a good laugh lol I laughed all the way home. It hurt my pride and my pocket but I learned a lesson and got a good laugh. Don't ask the girls here to tint your brows lol I got the tint off thank God but my eyebrows are burning because of all the scrubbing. read more

Good service, but they talk bad about every client that walks through the door. As a Hindi speaker, they assumed I couldn't understand. Every time I've gone, they talk bad about every client in their chair. They've even talked bad about me. They complained about the service I requested and tossed around my full face service because all of them refuse to deal with how extensive my service is. If you don't want to do it, why do you offer it? They do a good job. But is it worth me leaving feeling crappy from being talked about? read more

Well, spoiler alert, I'm only giving this a star because I have to. Y'all, this place messed my eyebrows all the way up. As I type this, I am in utter disbelief. Not only are my brows uneven and misshapen, as individuals, but they totally don't match each other. They are also super thin, despite my telling her to make them as thick as possible. Then, she started coughing everywhere. But, don't take my word for how the brows look. Here are the pictures below. Mind you, this is after the owner/manager fixed them. They were so bad that this was the best she could do without thinning them out even more. I also added a before shot for comparison. Go at your own risk. I'll never go back. *I used the lady in the last/3rd chair on the left. She had long-ish, brown hair and an "I don't want to be here" expression. Oh, and no refund was offered. I paid full price for this, despite having to have the brow tint completely scrubbed off with alcohol before the other lady fixed them bc the first person also applied the tint on unevenly, and it was unbelievably splotchy. When I got in the car, I noticed that I had dark brown brow tint dye directly on my lip, above my lip (both, presumably, done when I briefly removed my mask for the upper lip wax) , and on my neck. read more

I come here for my eyebrows and I have to say I love the end result everytime. Definitely my eyebrow staple. I haven't been able to find a place to do my eyebrows better yet. The place is very clean. The employees are very kind. The wait is minimal. The eyebrow tech that handle my eyebrows did an amazing job. She used the thread method and even shaped with the eyebrow pencil after I approved the thread work she did. AMAZING The only take away is that once they are done with their work, it feels like they are watching you to see if you are going to give a tip. I feel a little uncomfortable at that point. I give tips but I've never felt like someone is literally waiting to see if I issue a tip or not. Fortunately, their work is amazing so I've never had a reason not to tip them. read more

I found this salon on line and was excited to find lower leg waxing for $25. It didn't appear to be the cleanest salon I've visited ever; but I'll give it a try. The procedure was long and the technician blamed it on my hair growth. I left with wax residue on both legs and hair still on my legs. At check out time, I see a brochure at the register and it showed $30. Then when I was told $34 before tip. I referenced their website pricing and the price in the brochure. I was told "new price is $34". Well, I'm not happy with the service or the misleading pricing. I won't be back!!! read more

I will not come here ever again! It took the lady less than two minutes to finish threading my eyebrows and she F'd them up. Usually when I go there, they let me look in the mirror to see the results. Guess what, this time she didn't. I'm so mad right now! Looks like I have to grow them out for another 5 months. I requested brow threading and Brazilian wax. I decided on them to do my wax because it was last minute and I know Bombay does bomb waxes. my brows turned out great! but the Brazilian. i was not greeted with a smile just a blank stare. I was told it might not "pick up all the hair" after I was already undressed and prepped on the table asking if I wanted to proceed. this is something that I could've been told over the phone when I called asking the price. she did not apply pressure after ripping off this extremely long wax strip she used repe in different spots. without her applying pressure it hurt really bad. I honestly had my feelings hurt at the care I was given, as if she didn't care how her actions hurt me. don't recommend you will be rushed and don't even get a finished job. I still had to return home and shave I didn't feel completely fresh and waxed. I felt HALF ASSED! read more

This is my 2nd time coming to have my brows threaded and tinted and both times, I got what I paid for. Goldie always do a great job on my brows and tint, I have thin brows and when she is done, they are full and filled in just like I like them. I've been coming to Bombay for about 3 years now. I come here to get my eyebrows & upper lip threaded. Sometimes it is a tad bit painful but hey...that's the price we pay for beauty, right?!?!? The spa is very clean and even through the pandemic they have made sure that the staff and their clients social distance and are safe while inside. I usually see Angel. She's really nice and always knows how I want my brows done. Another plus is that it's located about 15 minutes from my house, so I can usually run in and run out. There's never been more than a 5 minute wait. Angel also makes sure that I'm satisfied with my look before I get out of the chair. read more

After quite some time away, I recently returned to this location. It's still a little busy on Saturdays, but just know that Saturday before noon is probably the best time to visit. I've been visiting Jewel for my brow threading. My only issue is that she has thinned my brows a little due to the fact that she's gotten carried away with the brow scissors. However, my brows have the PERFECT arch now. She is unbelievably quick, but does a great job. read more

Very nice people and they do wonderful eyebrows,but PLEASE stay away from the individual eyelashes! I got mine done around 4:00pm ,but 9pm after I showered and dried my face off they ended up on my towel. The lady who did them they'd last got two weeks.... I guess I'm not suppose to shower for two weeks. I called up there to tell them what happened they didn't even offer to refund or reapply them. Money down the drain! read more

Don't let the Google reviews fool you. Seems like they are piling an influx of 5-star reviews to overshadow customers who reveal the truth. The majority of the staff is rude, they don't sanitize their stations between clients, and the atmosphere is just unpleasant. When the ladies are servicing ppl they don't offer a greeting, instead they have loud conversations amongst each other and speak negatively about clients. Don't enjoy coming here anymore. read more

Please just save your money and go somewhere else for eyelashes extension. First time being there for individual eyelashes, really bad service . Eyelashes were not put on correctly and caked on with glue. My lashes fell off within 24hrs, when they are suppose to last for 2 weeks. Pictures below read more

Starting with the brows i got done. 4/10 I have naturally very nice brows. And they managed to make them look average. Then a big no no for me was how they treated me. When I entered they acted all weird and just looked at me for a minute like why are you here. Ps: i speak hindi and all the time while doing my brows they just talked angrily about something else. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

Visit this place at your own risk!! The folks in this place is irresponsible and risky. My fiancé got her nose pierced here and they were completely cavalier with the piercing gun and the plastic stud they put in her piercing. Plastic studs are more prone to infection and they did not even have cleaning solution in their store. We had to go to a CVS and get a bottle of that. A day after the piercing she started feeling skeptical about how it felt and so she went to another store to get an opinion. She then got to know that piercing guns are not the ideal way to pierce and plastic studs have a greater chance of causing infection. Also, what kind of salon does not keep something as basic as a cleaning solution . I would have given this place 0 stars if that were an option. read more

I am sitting outside Bombay Salon right now and I am so impressed with this place that I felt compelled to write a review as soon as I got in my car. I am new to the area, and have been trying to find an affordable eyebrow wax for the last few months. As a self-proclaimed tightwad, I was not willing to spend more than $15 on an eyebrow wax. I decided to try eyebrows threading as a cheaper alternative to waxing. I made an appointment at Bombay (although I believe I could have easily walked in), and had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded to perfection. The stylist was skilled and turned my caterpillars into face-framing arches, and my upper lip is smoother than it has ever been with waxing. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, and felt no pain. Both services were only $15. The employees were all friendly and welcoming; the atmosphere was calming. I will be back again and again. I have been converted to threading. I have been converted to a Bombay Salon. Give this place a shot. read more

Well, I was deceived by google reviews. When we first went in the lady completely ignored us, and since we were first time customers we had no clue what do. The whole time I was there I was uncomfortable, because the women were just gossiping, but this wasn't the worst part. The worst part was they didn't even thread my eyebrows right. They legit took 3 minutes to thread them but all they did was clean them up. Usually when I get my eyebrows threaded they cut them with scissors, they shape them, they clean them up, and they get rid of the hair on top and the below. These people did not do anything. They didn't even give me a mirror to see my eyebrows and they didn't even ask if I liked them. I hate to say it, but this was the worst eyebrow threading job I ever gotten and I will sadly not return. read more

She gave me a moment to get settled before starting, which I appreciated. The wax itself felt a bit rough, but nothing out of the ordinary. I was on the phone with a friend to distract myself, and I began to notice she kept going over the same areas repeatedly, almost as if the wax wasn't grabbing the hair. When she finished, she let me check the results--and that's when I noticed that about 75% of the hair was still there, just broken off the way it looks when you shave. I tried to discuss it with her, and she attempted to go over the area again, but the wax still wasn't picking anything up. I was disappointed and asked for a reasonable solution, especially since I now have to wait for the hair to grow back to at least 1/2 inch before anyone can fix it. She told me she couldn't offer a discount and that I was still responsible for the full balance. When I asked to speak with the manager, she told me she was the manager and that the head manager wouldn't return until Wednesday. When I asked for their contact information, she refused. After pushing the issue and explaining my concerns, I was eventually offered a free service. Overall, the service was poorly done, and as a loyal customer for years, I'm extremely disappointed. My wax feels prickly--like porcupine quills--and that's absolutely not the result I expect from this place. So disappointed.

I would say the inky take away is that they buffering while shaping the nails was a little painful when shaping around the cuticle. With that said, she finished with cuticle oil and made sure that my nails were neat despite not getting the manicure. Ilof course it can come off pricey but the overall experience was very high quality so this will be the new staple for me.

Those are the two positives. I see others have given them 5 stars and hate to be the one to give lower. But I'd have to lie about our one time experience. I will never return because of these reasons: 1. Whatever kind of normal nail polish they use, it is either a poor quality brand that does not last 3 days on your nails....or they dilute the brand they use and it is very thin with no protective coat applied on top. 2. I left the salon not realizing that one of my legs was not rinsed off from the pedicure. The salt scrub had dried and I didn't feel it until I got in my car and sticky granules went everywhere. 3. My friend got a special "cat eye" metallic manicure with tips and told the technician not to cut her cuticles. I echoed to not cut them to him because he didn't seem to listen. He hurried through the manicure so fast and began to cut the cuticles regardless and made my friends finger bleed immediately and she stopped him. 4. The cost was outrageous for the poor quality of polish, lack of protective coating on the polish, a very low quality pedicure/massage, the drive-through service and ignoring instructions for my friend. Outrageously expensive as they nickel and dime you for every little detail.

This is a review of the business, both corporate and Memphis franchise ownership. I signed up for S Pass and didn't use it as much as I thought I would, ending up with over $300 in credit for services. I asked the manager if it would be possible to pause membership and still use my credit before resuming. She told me that she could remove my payment method from the account, the membership would still be active, I could use my credit, and add a payment method back later on. Perfect. Except that not only did this suspend my membership, and so did not work the way it was explained to me, in the intervening month the entire program was discontinued. Corporate headquarters informed me that (though when signing up for the Pass there was no indication that I was entering a contract with anyone other than the corporate entity), they took no responsibility for this or the fact that there was NO NOTIFICATION of the termination of the program sent to members. They flatly refused any assistance and told me it was the Memphis franchisee's responsibility to resolve the issue. I called the manager again. She returned my call saying that I could at least begin paying the monthly fee again and not be out the over $300 that I had lost. I went into the store to do so and had booked a service as well. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not, in fact, do this. I was provided a free service that day (the manager, to be fair, was as helpful as I think she was able to be at this point), but am still out a fair amount of money. I hate that I cannot continue to visit Tiana for service - again, she is fantastic - but I cannot give business to an establishment that wouldn't even offer to split the difference on a gift card to keep a loyal customer.
