Stopped in for lunch today after seeing that they had just opened earlier this week. The place looks very nice as you walk in and has a lot of seating space inside. Stayed in Chicago for 3 days and ate here every single day! It was 30 seconds walk from Hilton's double tree hotel and we found ourselves having our brunch here everyday. I am vegetarian so can only speak for the vegetarian wraps. Chickpea chana and potato tava both are pretty nice - but the 5 stars that I gave them are mainly for the Cheese Paneer wrap. mixed it up with chutney and pickled onions - and it tasted heavenly. They also have a collection of lassis - Mango lassi is where you simply cannot go wrong. The other one - coconut + pineapple lassi was something I tried for the first time - very unique! It was something you should try at least once. I personally found it too sweet - but then I am not much of a fan of sweets anyway! They also give you a choice between roti and parantha based wraps. I tried both and I will go for the parantha based wraps any day but if you are big on avoiding too many calories- then the roti wrap is for you. NYC has Kati Roll, and Chicago has... Bombay Wraps? OK, honestly, I wouldn't necessary say it's on the same caliber as Kati Roll in NYC, but oh my, is Bombay wraps tasty!! It's fast food, so very convenient for those needing a quick bite while shopping on Mich Ave, doing touristy things and needing something to hold them over until dinner, or just looking for something quick and tasty! My favorite at Kati Roll is the Paneer wrap, so naturally that's what I gravitated to at Bombay wraps - and it was tasty! The guy asked if I wanted it mild or spicy and I asked how spicy spicy was - he said about a 7, so I said mild and that was still kind of spicy for me! So, if you're not a huge fan of too much spice, opt for the mild knowing that you'll still need a water chaser! But, it's delicious enough that you won't care! Yelp's check in offer is 10% off wraps! And, as I was ordering, my phone died! As I was checking out, the cashier told me that she put in the happy hour deal for me which is 20% off wraps! So, definitely try this place around the late afternoon to get this deal! Worth it! They even have a little section with indian spices, snacks, condiments, etc - so if you're living downtown and don't want to hike to the nearest indian store, this is a quick place to grab a few things (likely overpriced, I didn't look too closely). Bombay Wraps is a quick place to get a taste of well flavored chicken , lamb or paneer. My favorites are chicken reshmi or lamb curry. The wraps are actually really tasty Indian parathas which makes these a more substantial snack/ meal than similar I have had at other places ( where a chapati is used). Too it off with a cool mango lassi which is a nice compliment to the spiced (med or high options) wraps. Defo worth a try when you fancy a quick bite. read more

This is NOT Indian food at all, Chipotle is much better as it is fresher and servings are much larger. Probably the worst Indian fast food I've had in the entire US! I'm an avid middle eastern food lover but this place is not one I love. Honestly I'm disappointed in two things: portions and food. Portions based on price are small and food is not impressive. Taking into account as others have stated that the wraps are quite small for what you get, i'm basing my review on flavor alone. I recently bought a lamb wrap and some samosas-the lamb was alright, the samosas very dry. I tried bombay wraps again today and ordered the chicken tikka and paneer cheese wraps, and a mango lassi. The wraps were both overwhelmingly salty- inedible. I ordered medium spicy as I was recovering from stomach upset already, and there was a nice spice but no flavor to my food. I was really excited about the concept of Bombay Wraps because I love Indian food. I ordered the Tikka chicken wrap but unfortunately, the chicken was rather dry and the flavors weren't very good. Despite being drenched in sauce, the food was somehow bland. The sweet potato fries were redeeming but really, how do you screw those up? The workers also somehow managed to make me feel rushed for my order even though the restaurant was empty. It must be a gift. Such a great place to get a quick bite. I'm always impressed by the quality (although the samosas weren't too flavorful but, I won't hold it against them). The lamb is amazing- extremely tender and juicy, not what I would expect from such a quick stop. Chicken Tikka is really yummy, recommend it with the spicy sauce. And don't forget the mango lassi! I went a little after noon and it wasn't crowded at all which was a plus(I'm guessing it has to do with the streeterville location because there is not too much foot traffic in the area). The restaurant was clean and inviting. They had a side area that held a variety of Indian continents for purchase.I ordered the curry lamp wrap. I noticed most people ordered at least 2 because the wraps are a little small. They asked me if I wanted it mild or spicy, of course I said spicy. They put a mint sauce on top. I got a side of Samosas as well. The Samosas tasted pretty authentic which I was happy with. My wrap was tasty as well with a nice flavor. The food stayed decently warm during the 15 minute walk back home in 40 degree weather, and was tasty as hell. I am not in love with this place, but it's okay for a quick lunch. The flavors compared to my indian palette lack the spice or traditional seasonings I am used to. Biggest downside is quantity which is the reason for my review being 3 stars. For the price point the wraps are not filled and the overall size is underwhelming. In most cases you need to order two, unless you just want a quick snack. There sauces also are not my favorite. The green sauce lacks flavor and doesn't add heat at all. Samosas are also bland and the size is ridiculous compared to price. I might go back to try their bowls, but when I was there and saw them making them again these places skimp on adding any substantial proteins, they fill the bowls with extra rice or salad but you really do not get value for what you pay for. It's sad because I have also ordered delivery from here and you really cannot complain after the fact. Visiting the restaurant they will add extras if you ask. read more

I come here all the time for their wraps. They're very reasonably priced and they are absolutely delicious. I love that I can also request to have the roti to have as the wrap instead of the paratha so that it can be slightly healthier. The only bummer is that currently they only have the green chutney and don't have the sweet chutney just yet. Maybe they'll be out of what you ordered or in today's case, you get all the way home to see they left out your item. And it's not like they were busy or rushed. A good, reasonably priced lunch option in Steeterville offering a variety of Indian rolls wrapped in paratha or flatbread. My personal favorite is the lamb roll, which comes with generous chunks of lamb well marinated in a rich curry sauce. The chicken rolls are also good, but lacking a bit in depth of flavor.
