I asked them to make a copy of a mirror I had that had a rounded corner. I had two and together it looked like a huge, rounded at the top, doorway. One of them had broke. Although the one they made for me was not quite as thick as the one I had which was sad because it got broke again because before I could put it up, it fell over forward when I pulled the vacuum cord and it broke. It was very beautiful and expertly done. I would definitely recommend them for glass cutting and mirror cutting. And it seemed reasonably priced. But at the time my husband was working so I'm not sure if it's reasonable on a fixed income. I don't remember how much they charged now. But at the time I remember I thought it was reasonable. This was in 2013. They have a beautiful show room but I wish they shared the pictures of all those specialty mirrors and decor they made. read more

Our glass enclosed shower was installed today and it looks great. Mike Bomar arrived on 12/13/20 and measured and written appraisal of work was return on 12/14/20. On 12/29/20 the shower was installed. I feel that his crew was professional through this job and kept us abreast on any changes or concerns in which were few. Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Getting an estimate, and install date was such a breeze, communication was great. The work that was done was top notch. Mike explained everything in detail; I wasn't sure what I wanted for a shower door, he showed me previous customers jobs, and helped understand what would work and look the best. So let me start by saying I have never been disappointed with Bomar glass until the other day. I have used them numerous times to create glass tops for a lot of my tables. I would take them the measurements and they would cut me a piece of glass to fit perfectly. Now, I must say why I'm giving them only two stars. I called Bomar the other day to schedule a quote on a mirror. I wanted to place a large mirror in the basement where our workout equipment is. The gentleman put me on hold and then got back on the phone. He asked me how big...I explained to him I'm not quite sure on exact size but game him an approximation. I explained that I was hoping someone would come out and give an estimate and make sure it could be done. He asked if I would want it installed. I said yes. He let out a sigh. (I don't know if he is aware that there are online companies that can send me a large slab of mirror-for much cheaper- and I am calling Bomar for knowledge and customer service). He said "well you know there's gonna be seams if it's in the basement because we can't fit a big mirror down stairs." I explained to him that I'm okay with seams...it doesn't bother me...and that my stairway actually has high ceilings and a large landing, the movers said it made it pretty easy. He let out a even bigger sigh. I responded with "I really don't care that it has seams." He said "man well if you want us to cut AND install it you're looking at like OVER 12 dollars a sq ft. And that's IF it's an easy install!" I didn't know what to say. I felt like this employee was actually talking me OUT of using Bomar. He didn't follow up by saying "would you still like us to come out?" Or "did you want to schedule that then?" Just silence. I said "okay well, I'll do some measurements and call back." I hung up the phone baffled. I have never had someone try to talk me out of buying their product. Bomar- if you don't like to install mirrors then maybe just call yourself a glass company and nothing more. If it was just the employee that doesn't like the hassle of mirrors-maybe don't let him answer the phone. I have since called a company who was HAPPY to come out and give me an estimate. I will be going with them. read more
