Stopped in let them know and he said their carpet layer was on vacation well get a hold of ya by next Monday. Next Friday comes around and he says again he will call. This went on for 2 months until I finally got frustrated and the owner got an attitude with me when I mentioned calling the BBB on him and what was so difficult about a phone call and appointment to just look at the carpet to see what could or could not be done. show up after 2 months of follow up calls every Friday to get an appointment to be told nothing they can do just leave it. after this incident a close friend asked about them and I said that the installation is great, but I had bad experiences with the manager. When he got his carpet installed he was lucky he was home and asked about the padding and that it didn't seem like the right kind. They reassured him it was and had it stapled down and ready to put the carpet down. Long behold after he did some investigating it was in fact a cheaper padding that what he ordered. If he was not home they would have got away with it. Once called out they drove back and installed the right padded. back to my experience. Calling them back recently I asked about the carpet in my basement being finished off. I know that the color batch might not be exact, but I wasn't too worried about that. He said he would call me back after he found my order. No problem. Calls me back and says that the carpet is no longer being manufactured and that he can't get it. They only make carpet for 2 years sometimes and this one is not available anymore. I then called back a couple hours later and asked for the style, color and manufacturer. I had a feeling something was up. He called me back and gave me the information. I called a few other stored and looked it up online with no issues. Both stored called back and said it was easily obtainable through Mohawk. At this point if I would have took his word for it I would have been looking at different way more expensive ways to finish off my basement. I Called them back and asked what the deal was and they said that it wasn't on their price list and that they have a competitors carpet they use instead now. He then said it was available. so i said lets order it and he then stated we don't want the job. simply state that in the first place if you don't want to deal with me. As a small business you think keeping a good reputation with the community would be one of your key objective. Not these guys. I would 100% recommend any other business over Genoa Custom Interiors.

I ended up tracking down enough flooring at Perrysburg Floor Covering & Design and the owner of the shop went way above and beyond getting the exact product we needed to complete the job. Kraig absolutely saved the day, and even sold us the product for a very attractive price despite knowing that he could've gouged us. A truly honest and ethical business owner. He arranged cross country shipping and local delivery. He absolutely saved the job and I could not be more grateful. Highly recommended business to deal with. I received a call a few weeks later letting me know that my rug had shipped (free shipping, which is nice) they were pretty spot on with the expected delivery (they said Friday but ended up being Monday which is fine) The rug was well packaged but at first thought it was too small (11x8ft rug) luckily it was just folded over and wrapped. Well the rug was beautiful deep blue with a nice over-dyed effect that wasn't too over bearing, the wool rug felt of high quality and although a bit stiff would definitely soften over time (although I did need a rug pad to avoid slippage and increase durability due to having wood floors) I was very impressed with the quality and color of the rug (although a bit darker than what the photo suggested) and although a pricey rug it was the last in stock and the price was 50% less than similar styles/quality rugs.

I would consider our job to be a difficult one as the original solid wood floor is pecan, an extremely difficult wood to sand, the original finish was poor, had worn, was in very poor condition and there were sever patches from water damage. The overall quote was reasonable & I had no problems until the point that I was dissatisfied with the transition piece between kitchen & dining area. Most recently, the transition was glued down, but literally did not stick. I can pick it up. It also is not quite long enough & there is a gap between the wall and wood. He does an excellent job of hanging pictures, which I greatly appreciated as a side courtesy. but his level of responsiveness dropped from a 10 to a 0 at this point. Nothing is urgent on my end, but a simple acknowledgement of my text of concerns & pics of the issue would be appreciated. I feel disrespected to be completely ignored after investing a good sum of money in my wood floors with a guarantee of satisfaction. I am not seeking to bash this company; to the contrary, I simply would appreciate acknowledging the problem with a plan to follow up.

We wanted flooring that was low maintenance and did not hold the smells of being pet owners. The choice of contractors that restore hardwood floors in our area seems to be limited. We attempted to contact several contractors and Eddie was the one who responded promptly. Eddie came out to give us a estimate and it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about his craft. He recommended a stain that would be best for our floors after years of abuse. Eddies price was right in line with what we thought it would cost to complete the project. It was refreshing to see that he was not one of those contractors that would try to "highball" you on his pricing!!! After my wife and I agreed to his estimate we scheduled a date to get the work done. He was scheduling a month out at the time, but it was well worth the wait! Eddie explained that it would take three days to complete the project. Day one sanding and staining. Day two poly coat. Day three knockdown/buff and final poly coat. We were so pleased with the results that my wife and I just sat in our chairs starring at the floor in amazement. We didn't even want to walk in it because it was so beautiful!!! I will upload photos of before, during and after the project was finished. Note the dark stains on the floor from pet stains from previous owners and our puppies. Thank you Eddie and Anthony! You are both TRUE CRAFTSMAN and we look forward to having you back to do our bedrooms.
