I had a leaky roof three years ago with attic water damage in my bathroom ceiling. After thoroughly investigating my attic, Pete took the time to explain to me about my attic situation and the little mold that was there, and then discuss my options, giving pros and cons for each way I could proceed. No hard sell. Just down to earth procedures and recommendations. I was able to make an informed decision about how to proceed. Fixing the damage will be a very small job and Pete gave me the name of another reliable company that could handle it well. He wouldn't even charge me for the assessment though I would have been delighted to pay for their time and expertise! A very positive experience.

He promised that he would be able to salvage my new carpet and when they failed. Jeff refused his crew to remove it days later after mold and mildew smell started in. My insurance agent said the carpet was unsalvagable and to remove it. QUEST refused to do so and when confronted how inadequate of a job they did, Quest notified their lawyers to harasse me for full payment of 6,500.00! In the lawyers letter, Jeff made false statements. When I contacted the lawyer to speak with the owners of Quest, they refused to listen to me the customer and demanded payment. I felt bullied and belittled since I am a female by Jeff after he laughed in my face and smirked how wrong he thought I was. When I asked a male neighbor to explain to Jeff how my basement smelled because of the moldy carpet and he could see wet spots where heavy furniture was, Jeff knew he was wrong and left telling the other worker to pull fans out of my basement that they were done! My basement read out at 70 percent humidity STILL after several weeks. At one point, I was promised the smell would go away after shampooing the carpet. I said I didn't think so but allowed them to "try" and stating if it still smelled, I needed it out due to health risk to my asthmatic 3 yr old. QUEST did not care or listen to my request leaving me pull out 1200 square foot carpeting that was a year old by myself and I had to hire someone else to dispose of it. Yet, they demand full price! I NEVER even had my plumbing friend bill them for the use of his trash pump and for him losing customer business that evening after we asked several times if they could find more pumps so he could go pump other clients basements, but QUEST couldn't get any more pumps since they took on too many jobs that evening. My plumbing friend lost business and money that night because of Quest lack of service. Shame on the owners for not wanting to hear the truth and are so creed that in the end, they want money not a customer to feel heard and satisfied. They demanded 1000.00 that night and in my distress I never listened to my gut when it said this doesn't feel right. I have had four basement floodings and not once had I had a restoration company ask for money before they would help. Big clue!

He came out and repaired a section of roof and said he guaranteed the work 100%. I was satisfied with the work so I had him work on a second property for me a couple weeks later. He seem to do a good job and sent me pictures of everything he did. I had my drywaller start to repair inside from what the leaky roof damaged. It rained one evening and the repaired roof leaked onto the new drywall. I have tried getting a hold of Cody at Catalina construction since the middle of August until even today. I've called no less than 20 times.I have called 3 different numbers, texted, and emailed the company's email address and had no response from him. My drywaller can't finish the project until the roof is repaired properly. I don't want to pay someone else to fix the job that he guaranteed 100%. I guess he's good if he fixes it right the first time but if you need him to come back out, good luck.

Every employee I spoke to was kind (Paul, Kellie, Kam, Jon), the actual technician (Kam) was friendly. However, they failed the initial inspection and had to redo weather proofing. I've since had to hire another electrician to finish labeling the panel after GLIC did a service upgrade. The panel doesn't actually fit all of the breakers and covers them slightly. New electrician said without a new box there is no way to make them fit, so it will always look odd. We found out more that indicated poor work, but this review is long enough without getting into those details. To put it short and sweet: the communication between employees at GLIC is extremely poor and caused a variety of issues with scheduling, parts, etc. I started this process working with Jon on scheduling and Paul on the estimate. I sent a list of the work requested by email, explained it over the phone, and went over it in person with Paul. We ended up condensing it down and ultimately approved: 1. $675 Dual sensor, photo-ion smoke detectors for each level of the home 2. $3,150 200-amp service upgrade 3. $462.50 220 volt stove plug installation In total from 11/15 to 1/24 we communicated through 22 phone calls, 44 text messages, and 9 emails for this single job. Here are some examples of why we had to communicate so frequently: - We wanted to confirm that they were going to pull permits and send electricians who are licensed in the State of Michigan. - We needed a new invoice sent over and waited 2 weeks but it hadn't been sent. - On what would have been day 1 of work, GLIC cancelled on us 2 minutes before scheduled start time. - Actual day 1 of work ended because of an emergency call. We were told they'd possibly come back the next day, or Monday of the next week. I called and texted without any response until Monday morning when they scheduled us for later that week. - They brought the wrong smoke detectors to the house on day 2 of work. I can assure you that this review can't fully encapsulate the fuming frustration that experiencing all of this was. The sad part is that GLIC has all of the opportunity to get it together and be better, but I happened to be on the receiving end of their sloppy practices. I paid thousands of dollars to be able to tell you to listen to the other negative reviews. Don't be like me and give the benefit of a doubt, you'll regret it just like I do.

I had Kristina who rushed through everything. My house is large with many windows. I can't get through my whole house in a whole day, let alone add windows, walls and ceiling fans. She said she was done in 3 hrs. There were rooms she didn't touch, walls that weren't cleaned, dusting not done, ceiling fans not cleaned. I have new wood flooring that I expressed concern for when I got the estimate and she soaked them so bad with water, it took the whole day to dry. I had to put a fan on the floor in my laundryroom to dry those floors. I contacted the agency and expressed my dissatisfaction and said I'd like to have my house redone or money back. They gave me one date and time and said she'd come to finish. That time/date wasn't acceptable to me. They said, you declined her​ coming back. Best we can do is return half the money since she spent time here and used their products. Very upset with this company. Definitely not worth the money. I have pictures of some of the areas she left dirty. I have 5 animals. It's going to be pretty hard to miss the hair and dirt.
