I went back a few times after they messed up my eyebrows to give them another shot and coincidentally kept getting the new girls. I'm all for letting the new girls take their time to make my eyebrows look nice but every single time I came out with uneven eyebrows and leftover hairs that I have to pluck out myself at home. Being a regular I know that they offer hand sanitizer before the threading starts and Aloe for after, and every single time the new girls did not offer either. Another con is that they prefer cash only and I used to keep cash on me solely to pay for their services. My last straw was when I gave her cash and she didn't give me any change. I tip very well even with bad service and I wasn't going to make a fuss about a few dollars. I previously recommended this place to a few people and they are also all in agreement that the quality is not the same as it use to be. Anywho, found a new threading place that's cheaper, has high quality work, and isn't cash only!

Last year I entered Bolsa Salon for the first time, and OMG, I love the ambient of the salon. The open glassed double doors when entering gives the salon a very professional look. The owner Kim welcomes me with a pleasant smile and asked if she could assist me. I told her that I just need a simple trimming and she said to give her a few minutes she'll be glad to help. She was on time and I didn't have to wait long. I love it. I was happy with my hair and definitely will be back as a regular. I highly recommend Bolsa Salon. I came here to get my hair done by Kim and she is really good . She is professional and gave me good advices on how to take care of my hair . My hair was damaged because I bleached it too much and I wanted to go back with one color . Kim picked out a medium brown color for my hair and it looks healthier than my blondish hair color. She even advices me to go buy coconut oil to keep my hair healthy. One of the most down to earth hair stylist I have met . I been here three times already and she always on time with appt too . I have been getting my haircut by Kim since she was at her original location on Brookhurst between Trask and Garden Grove, so probably 5+ years now. Kim is very nice, takes her time and I leave feeling like a million bucks every time. There's a reason why she's kept so many regulars such as myself for so long. Highly recommended for women as well. I found out about Kim through my cousin who found out from his now wife. So fellas if you don't mind the wait, bring your girl along as well. read more

My hair was so dry and brittle due to the monthly coloring. Kim suggested I should trim all the split ends then color with a well known brand specifically made for my hair. She also suggested a shampoo and conditioner to take home for self-care. After 3 days, my hair loss diminishes by 50% and it gets healthier and healthier. I would definitely going here to change your hair from dull to luster. read more

Usually, other place on take 10 minutes to cut my hair but Kim took over 40 minutes to cut mine. She made sure that everything is up to my expectations. Kim takes her time, puts in the extra effort and does it right. I went in to dye my dark hair into silver-ish blue. It took about four hours but it was well worth the wait. I'd recommend her to anyone thinking about getting a cut or hair dye. Two thumbs up! read more
