When I got here, there was one woman working on a client and there was already someone waiting. There were other people in the shop that didn't seem like employees nor clients, so I'm not sure what was going on. Just hanging out? The woman that did my eyebrow threading had the sniffles and wasn't wearing any kind of mask. It made me nervous that she was so close to my face. I spent the whole time wondering if she had allergies or COVID. The place didn't look very clean and sanitary. The threading was quick. She did not do any kind of consultation so I had to trust whatever shape she decided on. I also got a tint, which looked VERY dramatic for the first few days, as to be expected. Overall, it was okay. I feel like one eyebrow has a higher arch than the other one so I look like I'm suspicious of everything at the moment. Each shape on their own is fine, but it doesn't quite match. I've been coming here for the last 8 years to get my brows threaded. I first started with Honey (not sure if she still works here) and now Tripta (chair #3) so this review is for them. You can trust them with your brows. Before you start, let them know what brow look you are aiming to achieve or if you just want a clean up. Tripta is honest and will tell you if what you are aiming to achieve is realistic, which I appreciate. They used to do a mini massage after they thread your brows, but stopped since the pandemic started which is understandable. Eyebrow threading is $9 (not including tip). Not sure if they still have their Tuesday $8 special. I pay with cash, but have seen that credit cards are accepted. Walk-ins welcome! read more

Alright, my brows weren't devilish but they needed to be tamed -- and as you can see from my picture, my eyebrows finally received the TLC they deserved. I came here for my first eyebrow threading experience and I've been coming back ever since. It's located right next to the post office on Goldenwest. It's a very open salon given that there isn't too much decor going on but it's very clean. After reading about other's reviews, I decided to schedule an appointment with Tripta since she seems to work wonders for others. I wanted my first experience to be a good one and I was not let down at all. Tripta, along with all of the other workers there (I never got the chance to get their name), are AMAZING! I haven't had a bad experience here ever and the service has been five star worthy in my books. You don't have to book an appointment, you can usually just show up, sign your name on the clipboard at the front counter and wait until there's a chair available for you. When it's not busy, you can get in and out within 15 minutes! The workers take really great care of you there. They take their time to make sure that everything is clean and trim your eyebrows if necessary. And once they've finished threading, they give you this head massage that just calms you down. I live for those massages, friends!! There are $8 Tuesday deals for eyebrows, it's usually $9 on other days. If you got some peach fuzz happening on your lip -- ladies, it's ok -- go and get your eyebrows and upper lip threaded for only $13. Depending on your pain tolerance, this experience could either be a breeze or semi-painful. Threading your upper lip is definitely much more painful than your eyebrows but they try to do it quickly so that it's as painless as possible. You can pay with either cash or debit, and they don't charge for debit transactions (score!). read more

This is my new threading place and it's so close to my house! Thanks yelp for helping me find this location. They have specials on Tuesdays where you get your brows threaded for just 8$! There's no stamp card or anything here, which I think they should do just to keep customers coming back more frequently. I've had a different girl do my brow each time and it always came out perfect. So at least you know it's not just ONE worker who is good here, it's most of them. They don't really talk to customers much, but I guess that's good if you're just looking to get in and out. My first time ever threading my eyebrows and it turned out to be the best threading experience ever. I didn't catch the name of my person, but the gal that works on #3 is amazing! She greeted me and as a person who's about to experience threading their first time - really eased me. Threading didn't hurt for me as my other gals have told me - but I guess everyone has their own tolerance level for pain. The results were amazing!! They even do this nice temple massage in the end. Time to get pretty! Because the bf was moving to Westminster, I had to start scouting the area for places that I would need to regularly go, such as the bank, laundry, groceries, and...hair removal. And, with upcoming special events, I definitely needed to find a good place to go to. Found this place on Yelp, so, thank you, fellow Yelpers! When I first tried to find this place, I could not find it. I thought it was near the Bank of America, or maybe next to Albertson's. Turns out, it was actually behind the Rite Aid, so its storefront is actually facing east. You won't see it from Edwards, but you'll see it from Westminster. I didn't make an appointment, but did a walk-in. Placed my name on the sign-in sheet and what services I needed done, sat down, and waited. One was able to finish her client, checked the list, and was able to help me. Never had threading done before, but it wasn't that bad of an experience. I definitely would prefer it over waxing or sugaring. It also felt more precise. I also went in for underarm waxing. Apparently, they only do waxing for the body, but will not do waxing for the face. Not a big deal to me, but there was a young girl who had acne, and wanted her facial hair to be waxed off instead of threaded off. I kept shaking my head as I heard her go "owwwww". Stupid girl, if your face is hurting, then do the hair removal at a later time when your skin can handle it. Ugh... Anyways, they performed the underarm waxing for me. SUPERFAST. Holy crap, I thought they'd have to take out tweezers or have to go back. But, no, she was able to do 3 or 4 strips for each arm, and then I was done. My inspection later showed a MUCH more thorough job than any other sugaring/waxing I've ever gone through. And she didn't need to go back and do tweezers! With the threading and the underarm waxing, it came out to $21. The eyebrow threading is a little bit cheaper on Tuesdays (I think it's a $1 off?), and they do take credit cards if it's over $15, I think. As a note, though, if you pay be credit card, also let them know that you want to add tip, because there is no tip line! They have to swipe the credit card with total amount (including tip). Overall, the place is WELL worth it. This is the only place that I've NEVER had to wait over 30 minutes for the entire waxing process to be complete. This is also the ONLY place where I didn't break out at a later time because not all of the hair got pulled out correctly, or there were any mistakes. Totally coming back again. Tripta is the person to go to!! I've been coming here for 5 years now and I've gone to every lady in every chair that's worked here but I've only left satisfied with Tripta. She is at station #3 if you're wondering. Tripta takes her time with my brows, which I believe are always lopsided because one side has more hairs filled up than the other... Ugh it's so frustrating but Tripta always does her best to even them out for me. She also shows me when she's done and if I need any adjustments, she doesn't hesitate to do so. All of the ladies here are very nice. They may not talk a lot when you come in, but don't take that personally. When you come in, sign in on the clipboard with your name, what you want done, and who you prefer (if you have a preference). Their specials are awesome: $8 on Tuesdays. I came here with uneven, bushy eyebrows and requested a clean up along with reshaping them to be even. I got the woman in chair 5, I think this woman is the 'new' one and she honestly wasn't too bad. My left eyebrow seems a tad higher than my right one, but it was easily fixable at home with regular tweezers. The threading didn't even hurt that much either. read more

I paid $10 for my brows to be threaded but it didn't really turn out too great. The lady who did my brows trimmed the ends of my brows and they were already really short to begin with. There were still lots of small hairs that she didn't get and I had to go home to pluck them. They were also uneven so it's hard for me to do my brows now since they're asymmetrical. I don't plan on going back since I only went here bc my usual threading shop was closed. read more

I had a really good experience the first few times and the last two times really disappointed me. I came home, my mom said it didn't even look like my eyebrows were touched. She left stray hair everywhere, she was so slow on threading that It hurt more the longer she held or did whatever to cut off my hair. I came in here today based on Danielle's review, because the last place I tried threading at was pretty far from home. I was warned by people not to ever change threading places if I found a good one. I'm stubborn. So I came here. Luckily, this wasn't one of those "I learned the hard way" kind of experiences. Nope, everything at this salon is great... a little better than my last experience. Honey did my threading and she was awesome. This is the only place I would EVER get my eyebrows done at. It's convenient since it's right next to my house too. The first time I came here, I thought my eyebrows doesn't look like it needs to be done.. it just needs a little cleaning. So since my friend wanted to get his eyebrows done, and I didnt feel like waiting, I decided to get my eyebrows cleaned with him. As i was sitting there, crying to myself because of the pain of getting threaded for the first time, I was thinking to myself: what is taking this lady so long just to clean my eyebrows? maybe she's shaping it? I hope she doesnt make my eyebrows look weird... When she was done and she gave me the mirror to look and WOW! I have never seen my eyebrows look so nice! My friends even complimented me on it too and they NEVER do. As I left, I never got the name of the person who did my eyebrows, so I could come back to her and get it done again. I went to another place in cerritos to get my eyebrows done because it was 3 bucks plus tip so 5. They did a horrible job on my eyebrows. It was way too thin and was a really ugly shape. I have decided I am never getting my eyebrows done anywhere else. I came back a month later once my eyebrows grew out and got my eyebrows done again, and once again, nice job. I thought to myself maybe this was the lady that did my eyebrows the first time. Once again, I left without getting the person's name. For the third time, I came back and got it done again and was satisfied once again. What are the chances of having the same person do your eyebrows 3 times? Think of this place like the service you get at a Chinese restaurant. Not the friendliest of people, efficient and direct. If you want a clean up or re-shaping just have to ask and they will try to make sure you achieve the brow shape you're after. If they have recommendations, they are happy to chime in and show you their recommendations and not just shaping your brows and showing you later. $8 for your eyebrows and a dreamy eyebrow/temple massage that you will wish would last forever! read more

My situation: Overgrown, lazy brows, as I was convincing myself I was growing them out for a better shape and would get around to them later when, in fact, they were just a patchy, bushman mess. Finally, I found this incredibly well-reviewed salon on Yelp, and decided to give in! I walked in around noon with no appointment, and was taken immediately. The girl who did my brows was polite and confident, which I liked. Of course it's painful - anyone who says ripping hair out of your face isn't is a liar and in denial. I am just so IN LOVE with the precision that threading gives over waxing. It takes a little bit longer, but the beautiful shape you end up with is so worth it. She read my mind as to the exact shape I craved, but could never achieve with my tweezers. And the massage afterward? GTFO - it was LIFECHANGING. ;] Don't even finish reading this review.
