Tiffany messed up my hair, received Yuko treatment and she left product on too long. She left product on for 40 minutes and said let's leave for 20 more but I asked her to rinse it out! Yuko is not supposed to be left that long, my hair is very fine and pretty thin and I've had it previously colored, it should've been on 20 minutes max. It cost me hundreds in product to fix the elasticity in my hair. She also is not to be trusted with hair, I asked several questions throughout the process one being omg is my hair damaged? Everytime her answer was I don't know. I wouldn't trust someone who doesn't know what's going on with your hair or about aftercare etc. She also didn't have much tlc with hair, she brushed hair rough, touched my face with iron, was 30 minutes late, she left crimps in my hair and also didnt fully straighten hair at the end how she's supposed to, I actually left with hair a little damp! I had bad chemical damage to the ends of my hair from previous work at a different salon. Straightening my hair everyday with a straightning iron was time consuming & damaging my hair. The yuko process is long that take precise care (but TOTALLY worth it). Tiffany hair salon is the last business in the row behind that restaurant. Today, I received a text from Kelly to remind me of our appointment. I told her I'd see her later and it was nice to reconfirm my appointment. When I came in, Kelly greeted me with a hug like we've been friends for ages. It was my first time meeting her and she is super nice. I was seen at my scheduled appointment time. Kelly did an excellent job with my haircut, color and style. I'm very happy about how my hair turned out. She gave me exactly what I asked for. To have balayage done, it's a time consuming process. It's a huge plus to have a friendly stylist who knows what's she's doing. Kelly is a talented hairstylist. She is easy to communicate with, knowledgeable and very hard working. Service was much cheaper compared to other hair salons I've been to despite being a 5/6 hour long process. Colored my hair not once, but TWICE to ensure it was the color I wanted!! I've been to many salons that charged me extra throughout the session, but she went above and beyond to make my hair work without the additional charges. She stayed late (UNTIL 8PM ) to finish my hair despite the store closing at 5PM. She and I were the only ones left in the salon as she finished my hair up. I found Tiffany Hair Salon through a Groupon for balayage. Based on Yelp reviews, I requested Kelly and I'm so glad I did! Before we got started, Kelly verified that I was aware of the extra cost for my hair length and informed me that the coloring process would take 4 hours, which was helpful to know. We discussed the shade of blonde I wanted and looked at photos and swatches, and I told her I wanted one color down to the roots. Kelly kindly explained the pros and cons of having one color versus ombre, and our discussion convinced me to change my mind and go with ombre instead. I'm happy she talked me out of my original preference, because I loved the way my color turned out and it will require a lot less effort and money to maintain. Kelly was very sweet and attentive throughout the balayage process, while at the same time not hovering. She was efficient but still paid attention to every detail. She even brought me water and snacks in between working on my hair! I asked for recommendations on hair maintenance and she gave me insider info on where to go for better product prices. She is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled at her craft, and the fact that she is SO nice and her prices are crazy affordable means that I will definitely be back to get my touch ups.
