I've been here a few times, and during my last visit, chị Hiền cut my daughter's hair. I absolutely loved the haircut, and she was one of the friendliest staff members I've encountered there. The salon did not seem very busy, so I asked if chị Hiền could cut my daughter's hair. She was busy, so I said anyone could take care of my kids. From the beginning, it felt like no one wanted to do children's haircuts. I'm not sure if it's because kids' haircuts are priced lower, but several stylists kept saying, "I have an appointment next" or "I'm busy." Eventually, one stylist agreed to cut my daughter's hair, and the front desk asked me to wait about 20 minutes for my son's haircut. I was perfectly happy to wait. However, the haircut itself was disappointing. Even my 8-year-old could tell it looked nothing like the reference photo we showed. He was just doing it the way he wanted despite I clearly told him what I wanted for my daughter's hair After waiting about 30 minutes while my daughter's haircut was being done, the front desk again asked if anyone could cut my son's hair. Once again, several stylists said they were busy or had customers. At that point I was frustrated and said, "That's okay, I don't need it anymore." What made it worse was that as I was leaving, I noticed a couple of stylists standing around without clients instead of helping with my son's haircut. I can honestly say that I've visited this salon three times, I tip generously, and I've never been picky. If you're considering this salon for children's haircuts, I would recommend looking elsewhere. In my experience, they do not seem to specialize in little boys' haircuts, and some of the staff are not particularly kid-friendly unless you already have a favorite stylist. I requested to have A SHOULDER LENGTH BOB for my haircut and I showed a guy with shaved head that I would like to have my hair layered like the picture I showed him and I specifically pointed the length I want. He said yes, and confirmed that I requested a shoulder bob with lots of layers because of my thick hair. When he cut my hair I noticed I might got the neck length which still acceptable for me. When I have a chance, I touched my hair on the back and I said this is TOO SHORT and he told me it's good shoulder length and he confirmed this is shoulder length. This place is a hidden gem among all surrounding hair salons. My hair is long (past my shoulders to mid back) and it cost $35 for a shampoo, cut and style. Selfishly I will gate keep the name of my stylist. Sorry but I don't want her so busy I can't get an appointment...tee hee. The only negative is that the salon is located in the T&K Food Market center, near Da Vien Coffee and parking is a pain. I read great reviews so I decided to give it a shot and I really wish I didn't, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked for long layers and to clean up my face framing. I also showed him how much I wanted cut off which was .5 inches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He rushed me through the wash and then quickly hacked off my hair. She did such an amazing job talking me through the process and checking in to make sure I liked the length throughout! Came to get a quick trim since it was long overdue for me! As soon as I walked in, it was super busy on a Friday and thought I was going to have to wait but was immediately greeted by Travis. He was able to get me in and asked what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised that he washed my hair first since all the other salons I went to just sit you down on the chair and get straight to cutting away. They use a really good shampoo that smells good and lathers up really well. And then he sat me down and started trimming my hair. After he was done, he gave me the perfect blowout with the layers I asked for! So with the shampoo/conditioner hair wash, trim and blowout, it only came down to $35. OK I LOVE VAN! She is such a sweet and precious soul. So kind! She welcomed me in, washed my hair, gave me a haircut and a blowout, and styled it. Super fair pricing. Would never come back here. First of all, asked for my hair to be dyed chocolate brown. But now it literally looks darker than it did coming in - like black. The I wanted a trim 2 inches - they cut off 3-4 inches and looks nothing like the picture I asked. Also they have a 3% surcharge on debit and credit card. Wtf. I asked the front if I could pay with Zelle. They said yes when I came in and after I tried to pay they changed their mind and said they dont take Zelle and I ended up charged the surcharge. I usually trust Derek (Dong), who does an amazing job, but today my friend and I had to get haircuts from another stylist as Derek is on vacation, and it was an absolute disaster!! We wasted nearly 2 hours only to leave with uneven, sloppy, messy cuts that look terrible. My friend was furious, he didn't even get a proper hair wash, and honestly, I am very disappointed and frustrated too. This isn't even the first time. Last time we also had a different stylist here (K) and had just extremely awful experience. It's shocking that only one person in this salon can deliver quality work in our experience , while the others clearly don't meet basic professional standards. We've already told the receptionist, but let me be clear: we expect these mistakes to be fixed with NO CHARGES next time. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away from this salon. I drove 40 minutes to see Kevin, and it was a disaster from start to finish. The front desk lady was rude -- after I said I was here for Kevin, she stayed seated, said "ok wait a minute," and started filing her nails. No eye contact, no directions, nothing. Only the younger receptionist finally offered me a seat. Kevin was even more unprofessional. From the beginning, it felt like he didn't want to do my hair because it would take more time. Instead of being upfront, he kept making excuses like: "because you're late you have to wait for me to finish another 2 clients before I can start on you." On top of that, he made me feel ashamed of my own hair -- even though he's the one who did it just a few weeks ago. He looked at it in surprise (clearly not remembering his own work) and complained out loud that my hair was "too dark" and would take too much time. As a stylist, that kind of comment is not only unnecessary but also insulting. I came to the salon for help -- from his own previous work -- and instead I got judged. When I tried to respond, Kevin raised his voice and said: "you just don't want to understand what I'm trying to say... it's better for someone else to do your hair." He claimed he scheduled me at 11:45 but also had someone at 12:00 and another at 12:15. That's not my fault -- that's poor scheduling. Mind you, I was only 10 minutes late and he was still working on another client. He couldn't have started me on time even if I had been there. I even had to ask him to lower his voice, but instead of finishing his client and calmly talking later, he kept arguing and eventually told me to leave. All of this happened with Kevin's raised voice filling the entire salon. This salon, from the front desk to the stylist, showed zero professionalism. They insult instead of consult, blame the customer instead of helping, and when their schedule is too tight, they find every excuse possible to push you out the door. read more

First time coming here for a haircut and I definitely would recommend coming here. I got Thuy and she was super friendly, quick, and great at achieving the long layer cut I was looking for. I recently had my son and was dealing with postpartum hair loss so needed a new trim that embody volume. Thuy was super understanding and her experience shows as she was able to achieve my look within 30 minutes. Also, I would recommend calling to get an appointment as this place seems to always be busy. I counted 14 stations and it was all filled when I arrived on a Monday at 2 p.m. Hence, to say this place is trendy is an understatement. When available, I always request Kevin. To be fair, I haven't tried the others but I trust Kevin. After this most shocking election results, I felt like I needed a change. I went to Kevin with a simple photo example and a general "I just need to do something I can control" and "do you think I can pull off these bangs?" Kevin, bless his heart, said "No honey, you don't want that hair. I know you don't want to style it, and these short bangs will require styling every day. Why don't we just trim it to chin length and see how you feel? We can always make it shorter." And you know what? A good person is a person who gently tells you the truth, not what you want to hear.
