Had a great experience here! Came in for a quick walk in haircut and I was seated right away. The interior is very nice and modern, I liked the layout of it and also the decor inside. She asked me what I wanted and asked for an inspo pic. I cut my own hair pretty badly and so she was fixing my layers and did just that! She worked fast and also gave me what I asked for. This place is a hidden gem among all surrounding hair salons. Everyone here is so nice and skilled at their craft. Prices are beyond reasonable which is why it's best to book a time rather than walk in. My hair is long (past my shoulders to mid back) and it cost $35 for a shampoo, cut and style. Selfishly I will gate keep the name of my stylist. Sorry but I don't want her so busy I can't get an appointment...tee hee. The only negative is that the salon is located in the T&K Food Market center, near Da Vien Coffee and parking is a pain. I've gotten my haircut here from 5 different barbers now, and each one was amazing. This place has excellent, skillful barbers that are always friendly and provide quality haircuts at such a great price. Even after I moved 20 minutes away, I still come here for my amazing $18 haircut that comes with hair washing. I don't see many reviews about perms so I thought Id throw in my two cents. Went on a Monday and got seated quickly in under 15 mins at around 5-5:11pm. I was a bit worried because of my past experiences getting a perm. In the past my old hair stylist used a harsh chemical which burned my scalp and I lost a lot of hair. the end result here turned out AMAZING. Co Hien did my hair and asked me about my hair past (if i have gotten box dye, bleach, or a perm in the past). I have gotten a perm in the past leaving my hair very brittle with split ends and i also had box dye in as well. the treatment took ~~2 hours and it came out perfect. my hair is barely damaged and so soft. my hair is chest length and the service was $100. I visited Yashi Salon for a quick cut and wash and Dong took great care of me. He worked very fast but still did a decent job, giving me long layers exactly how I wanted. Came to get a quick trim since it was long overdue for me! As soon as I walked in, it was super busy on a Friday and thought I was going to have to wait but was immediately greeted by Travis. He was able to get me in and asked what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised that he washed my hair first since all the other salons I went to just sit you down on the chair and get straight to cutting away. They use a really good shampoo that smells good and lathers up really well. And then he sat me down and started trimming my hair. OK I LOVE VAN! She is such a sweet and precious soul. So kind! She welcomed me in, washed my hair, gave me a haircut and a blowout, and styled it. Super fair pricing. Would never come back here. First of all, asked for my hair to be dyed chocolate brown. But now it literally looks darker than it did coming in - like black. The I wanted a trim 2 inches - they cut off 3-4 inches and looks nothing like the picture I asked. Also they have a 3% surcharge on debit and credit card. Wtf. I asked the front if I could pay with Zelle. They said yes when I came in and after I tried to pay they changed their mind and said they dont take Zelle and I ended up charged the surcharge. We're beyond furious with this salon. I usually trust Derek (Dong), who does an amazing job, but today my friend and I had to get haircuts from another stylist as Derek is on vacation, and it was an absolute disaster!! We wasted nearly 2 hours only to leave with uneven, sloppy, messy cuts that look terrible. My friend was furious, he didn't even get a proper hair wash, and honestly, I am very disappointed and frustrated too. This isn't even the first time. Last time we also had a different stylist here (K) and had just extremely awful experience. It's shocking that only one person in this salon can deliver quality work in our experience , while the others clearly don't meet basic professional standards. We've already told the receptionist, but let me be clear: we expect these mistakes to be fixed with NO CHARGES next time. Save yourself the frustration and stay far away from this salon. I drove 40 minutes to see Kevin, and it was a disaster from start to finish. The front desk lady was rude -- after I said I was here for Kevin, she stayed seated, said "ok wait a minute," and started filing her nails. No eye contact, no directions, nothing. Only the younger receptionist finally offered me a seat. Kevin was even more unprofessional. From the beginning, it felt like he didn't want to do my hair because it would take more time. Instead of being upfront, he kept making excuses like: "because you're late you have to wait for me to finish another 2 clients before I can start on you." On top of that, he made me feel ashamed of my own hair -- even though he's the one who did it just a few weeks ago. He looked at it in surprise (clearly not remembering his own work) and complained out loud that my hair was "too dark" and would take too much time. As a stylist, that kind of comment is not only unnecessary but also insulting. I came to the salon for help -- from his own previous work -- and instead I got judged. When I tried to respond, Kevin raised his voice and said: "you just don't want to understand what I'm trying to say... it's better for someone else to do your hair." He claimed he scheduled me at 11:45 but also had someone at 12:00 and another at 12:15. That's not my fault -- that's poor scheduling. Mind you, I was only 10 minutes late and he was still working on another client. He couldn't have started me on time even if I had been there. I even had to ask him to lower his voice, but instead of finishing his client and calmly talking later, he kept arguing and eventually told me to leave. All of this happened with Kevin's raised voice filling the entire salon. This salon, from the front desk to the stylist, showed zero professionalism. They insult instead of consult, blame the customer instead of helping, and when their schedule is too tight, they find every excuse possible to push you out the door. read more

First time coming here for a haircut and I definitely would recommend coming here. I got Thuy and she was super friendly, quick, and great at achieving the long layer cut I was looking for. I recently had my son and was dealing with postpartum hair loss so needed a new trim that embody volume. Thuy was super understanding and her experience shows as she was able to achieve my look within 30 minutes. Also, I would recommend calling to get an appointment as this place seems to always be busy. I counted 14 stations and it was all filled when I arrived on a Monday at 2 p.m. Hence, to say this place is trendy is an understatement. I've always had luck as a walk-in, but they do get busy so an appointment is probably smarter. The place is always clean and people seem to be in a good mood, including employees. When available, I always request Kevin. To be fair, I haven't tried the others but I trust Kevin. After this most shocking election results, I felt like I needed a change. I went to Kevin with a simple photo example and a general "I just need to do something I can control" and "do you think I can pull off these bangs?" Kevin, bless his heart, said "No honey, you don't want that hair. I know you don't want to style it, and these short bangs will require styling every day. Why don't we just trim it to chin length and see how you feel? We can always make it shorter." And you know what? A good person is a person who gently tells you the truth, not what you want to hear. This is why I trust Kevin. He's right. I would have hated having to curl my bangs and get them trimmed regularly and have to train them to lay the right way, but I wasn't ready to hear that. I can't recommend Kevin enough! Always so happy with the end result of my cut. He listens to my asks, is honest about his opinion, is caring from start to finish, and takes pride in his work. His skill and experience definitely show in how fast yet expertly he can get the cut + blowout done. Yashi tends to be busy on the weekends, so calling in advance is always a good idea. I notice that their walk-ins don't have to wait more than 30mins or so, and you can stroll over to the many cafes in the area while you wait to be called. It's clean and well-maintained salon, with lots of hairdressers. It doesn't smell like the cleaning chemicals that a lot of salons use, and I like whatever brand of shampoo+conditioner they use to wash- it's very mild, as though you had washed it yourself. My cut was $35+tip, which is far more than worth it for the quality of Kevin's work and the blow dry at the end. I asked for bouncy, blunt layers starting at the chin; full, round ends; and for a visible separation between the short and long layers. Don't recall the name of the man who cut my hair. Wanted face framing layers with a round U shape in the back. I honestly was happy with my hair after he blew it out but then he took the scissors to my hair again and added these jagged, choppy layers. Unfortunately don't love how it turned out since it makes my hair look really thin in a mullet like way... and the front pieces are visibly uneven lol I def shouldve done more research and requested someone in particular or forked over more cash for a cut that doesn't make me sad lol read more

Barely 6 days and 1 wash later, parts of the blonde/bleached were showing. Was told since it's a "fashion" color that it wouldn't last long, but I did not expected it to not last for even a week. i live about an hour and a half away from here but i saw this salon on tik tok and i 100% recommend coming here and will definitely come back for another cut! it was very organized and clean and everyone was kind! i saw chú dao (raymond) and showed him a bunch of hair inspo and he was very patient and nice! i also had really damaged hair and he didn't make one face or sighed when combing my tough hair out and cut as much of it out and keeping the length i wanted. he also styled it so nicely and told me how i would be able to do it at home. great first experience and will be coming back! :') read more
