I got a scalp massage treatment and it was a 10/10!!! They take their time and everything was clean inside!!!

My partner and I showed up early (yey us!), got our scalps examined, and then... that was it? No follow-up or photos just a quick... "yep, that's a scalp." Cool, I guess? My partner has eczema, his technician didn't really acknowledge it. So we moved on. The rooms have curtains that don't fully close, so if you're shy, maybe bring a blanket. Or some good vibes. For the facial, I had on a bit of mascara (not waterproof) and it survived the apocalypse! Just kept getting rubbed around my face. Now the hair: I'm Black, I have curly hair, and I was not prepared for the tugging and pulling during the detangling. At one point a loose hair just stuck to my face and stayed there. We bonded. Then the nail scratching started. As a healthcare worker, I was internally screaming. But I stayed strong. They asked my partner (straight hair) if he wanted styling. Me? They just grabbed the blow dryer and went to town. I don't use heat! Walked in with lucious curls, walked out with a puff ball. No warning, no discussion, round brush chaos was my fate. Overall? I felt relaxed until that blow dryer came out. Then I was just overwhelmed with a side of big fluff. They were extremely sweet though! Might come back. Might not. 3/5 would recommend if you're brave, have straight hair, maybe some low hair expectations, and don't mind a little curtain peek-a-boo! read more

I would highly suggest skipping this place. First impressions, the Fontana location is in a dirty area. It's in a little strip mall right about the liquor store. My friend and I were confused when we walked in because the women did not speak English and we weren't given any instructions other than hand gestures. They used a video microscope to show how much build up you have on your scalp. I thought they were going to do it again after to show how effective the treatment was but nope. What was the point of that?? The rooms where you're supposed to change are covered by very thin curtains that don't close all the way. Once settled, the technician (if that's what you'd call her?) started by putting a nice smelling mask on my eyes and began massaging oil into my scalp. The massage was fine. She pulled my hair but she used only a couple strands at a time so it was uncomfortable. She used some type of a roller massager on my neck and then rolled it up through my hair which got stuck and had to be pulled out. The halo water sprayer was the best part. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. I wish that had been a longer part of it. One thing I felt was extremely unprofessional was my technician got 4 phone notifications. Her phone was on vibrate but it was on a metal surface so it buzzed loudly. And then, even worse, she stopped my service every time in order to reply to her message. I almost said something but she doesn't speak English. The products they used were not Dermatologic as advertised, it was Herbal Essences which has tons of toxic ingredients. I would say it was just my particular technician but my friend had a similar experience. At one point her technician left the room for approximately 15 minutes to attend to a walk-in. While shampooing her hair she took the shampoo and rubbed it all over her face. What?? Herbal Essences is bad for your hair let alone putting it on your face. Finally, the blow dry is really a blow damp. They had us walking out into the December air with damp/frizzy hair. Awesome. So, all in all, I had expectations that were not met. I felt the overall experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The experience is inconsistent. It does not appear that the technicians have any training in massage or skin/hair care. 0/10 would never go back. Thank God I only paid half with the Groupon price. read more

Received a Groupon as a gift for Xmas for a scalp massage. My Groupon expired 40 days ago which is my fault. Unfortunately life was busy but still my fault. I called to see if shop would still honor the value. I was told they could honor 50%. I appreciate the offer but the family member who gave this to myself and my wife paid full value. The shop has a choice they can either make an exception and maybe we become repeat customers or they can offer 50% and we don't visit. I don't understand how they can't offer full value but I get it. This buisness is tripping over dollars to make Pennie's and that tells me all I need to know about this establishment. Word of advice avoid the Groupon. read more

I came here because of the good reviews. I got the 90 minute service with a facial. The facial was rough, the products did not smell good, as she was massaging my face I felt hair on my face which grossed me out, when she rinsed off my face she didn't do a good job I left with my eyes burning. The head treatment also was not that great she was really rough in rubbing my scalp, I don't feel like she washed my hair evenly or good. The products were cheap and did not smell good. When the blow dried my hair they did not completely make it dry. The facility was not clean enough to my standards, and was not a professional spa at all. I rather drive to OC and get the luxury experience. It was also hard to communicate with the staff just making the appointment I should known better. read more

I was looking for a nice relaxing hair spa and I came upon this one and there was a couple bad reviews but I still decided to give them a chance and did the 30 min service. The head message was very relaxing along with the shampooing. The only thing I did not like was how knotted my hair got after and when she was brushing my hair she was doing it soo violently that chunks of my hair were getting stuck on the hair brush. The lady did not put no type of detangle product to soften the knots. I don't think i'll come back. They need to get a better hair dyer and buy better products. read more

I was there this past Mother's Day, (with an appointment) my appointment was for 90 mins facial and scalp treatment/wash. The lady that provided the treatment, first the hair analysis, I couldn't understand what she said, also didn't make sense or specify what was going on with my scalp! Second "the facial" way too rough, it felt like she was scrubbing my back instead of my face. Third she kept getting phone calls, and kept texting! Keep in mind you're there to relax, she was very noisy. The "scalp treatment" she was rough when pulling my hair (because with this treatments, there's ways to pull the hair, so it won't hurt). After I noticed she was rushed because they got busy the door kept opening and beeping! She didn't washed my hair good that my hair was so oily after. When it was time to dry it, she didn't dry it again or even go over a hair analysis again. They got busy and I felt like they wanted to just finish my service which I paid over $250 plus tip! I don't recommend the facial not even sure what type of products they used on me. They put a bright light without any warning and started to do some type of extractions. Also, I felt cold the entire time. the product they use did not smell nice at all except for the shampoo and conditioner. The lady did not completely dry my hair or did a second analysis. I had the 90 minute experience, which was a 30 minute facial and a 60 minute head spa treatment. The spa staff is very professional and the facility is a very peaceful atmosphere. I just had the 60 mins session today and it was amazing! Eversince seeing videos on social media about headspas and massages, I have been on the lookout for one near where I live. Most of the headspas I found were either in LA county or OC, so that just wouldn't do. First, the location and place itself. It is in a decent location and easy to find. Ample parking space is a bonus too. The place itself is clean and relaxing. Second, the staff are polite, friendly, and skilled. Lastly, the service itself, the head/hair massage is soooo relaxing, I dare you to not fall asleep! They also massage your neck and shoulders which was wonderful as well. Whatever technique or tools they used definitely helped me to reach my zen mode. They of course shampoo and condition your hair after, then blow dry your hair. Mind you, the blow dry is just that- a blow dry, just enough so you do not walk out of the place with a head full or wet hair. They do not style your hair or anything like that, which was just ok for me. Your hair feels (and smells) so clean and refreshed. It felt like whatever build up was in your hair and scalp just disappeared! Next time I would try the 90 mins session which includes a facial. If you're looking to have some well-deserved ME time to pamper yourself and relax, this is the place to be. I know for sure I will be coming back soon! read more

I visited this Headspa for the first time yesterday and was seen by Urmi. She did a fantastic job! I have been to several Headspas in the LA area and this Headspa is among the best. It is a small space near a bail bond company, but inside it is cozy and clean and the headspa table where your service is done is spacious. Like most heapspas, they start with a scalp analysis. What sets this Headspa apart, however, is the massage. The scalp oiling massage uses different scented oils (and herbs?). Urmi gave an excellent scalp, face and shoulder massage and I left feeling thoroughly relaxed. I also appreciated that the service includes a rough blow dry. I've had to pay for this service at other headspas or else walk out with wet hair, so I appreciate that it is included. I highly recommend that you add this Headspa to your monthly wellness routine or as part as a girls' day out. (Note: Remember to bring cash for the tip!) read more

I went into this business because I've seen all the really good reviews, I'm convinced all the good reviews are from themselves. I did not experience half of what the good reviews say. They were very rough and I could not relax at all.. after the oil treatment that they put on my head, which smelled like urine. They continued to rub my face and it was burning my face.. I do not recommend going to this head spa. I am very disappointed considering the price is pretty up there.. but I went ahead and paid full price. I am a licensed esthetician and their facial was terrible, the shoulder massage only lasted less than a minute. Once they got done to blow dry my hair they did not dry my hair completely, I left with my hair, still damp and face was red and dry. read more
