I had a 2-1/2hour wait to see the retinal specialist which I thought was horrendous. The first part…read moreof my visit at 10:30 am with the technician went great. Then after my eyes were dilated, I was ushered into a waiting room where I waited until almost 1 pm. This place could take a few lessons in customer/patient care and offer check backs with patients while waiting. Offer healthy snacks or refresh their stale coffee pot. There was a drinking fountain, a coffee pot with Styron cups and a container of store bought cookies. There was also a tv screen that told dr wait time (my physician' wait time was listed as 120 minutes) with another TV playing HGTV. They may or may not provide free wifi; I suggest providing a docking station to charge cell phones as a courtesy. Also it would be good to know ahead of time that there is such a wait. I think if they know that there is going to be a long wait patients should be told upfront so they can adjust their schedule. I would have brought my portable office or some knitting. I was caught totally off guard and my emotions became frayed the longer I waited. I also believe they should look at how they schedule and not schedule so tight. Patient care was minimal. My appointment went past 1 pm. Offers for a healthy snack & a bottle of water would have helped. Patient care was minimal. I felt like I had been taken hostage in that waiting room. The reason I didn't walk out was because I didn't want to endure a second appointment in similar circumstances. I finally asked to speak with the manager who apologized profusely. After I did, it felt like I was shunted in quickly to see the physician. I hope I don't have to go back for a long time.

I love the fact that the doctors here all mission-minded and go on long- and short-term mission trips. I can't say enough good things about this business!

There is equipment the surgeon can have ready to deal with a floppy iris, but, as Bolling himself said, it isn't cost effective. So disregard claims of "state of the art" equipment. Furthermore, at my day after surgery appointment Bolling's first words were, "You're right on target." It was only after I said I couldn't see much with my right eye that he explained the floppy iris. Bolling then told me that he could perform laser surgery to "clean up" what he was unable to finish in the original surgery. I paid $268 out of pocket (and I suppose my insurance paid a lot more) but the laser surgery did no good. He then explained that when I got my glasses it would be much better. And, he would give them to me at his cost. I still had to pay $348 out of pocket and the glasses do no good. I have a cataract in my left eye but Bolling will not touch it.
