Beautiful modern architecture right in the middle of Tulsa! I was very impressed by the BOK center's looks, inside and out. I enjoyed the venue ONCE I was seated...but, I was pretty disappointed by the extremely low level of organization trying to get in. 1. Have super nice boyfriend run to the other side of the BOK center in 30 degree weather to see if our tickets are at will call, since you purchased them on the band's website. He runs back because they said to stand in line. 2. Stand outside before doors open, unsure that you are on the right side because all the signs are inside. (GA, paper tickets, online tickets.) 3. Get inside and go to the opposite edge so you are in appropriate line. 4. Get to front of line and the lady tells you that the online ticket won't scan, and to go stand in extremely long line to the side. 5. Have them tell you that your tickets are actually at will call because you purchased them through the band website. Wait, wasn't that step #1?? Oh well. The whole process took about a half hour of precious time and we aren't big complainers, but I thought this was probably the most ridiculous time I ever had getting into a concert. Went here for the first time the other week for the MIchael Buble concert. I have never been to this venue before, but it did look nice and the parking was very convenient compared to other venues I have been to. The veue was clean and the food there was good for a concession stand. Nothing much to say except that if you want to go to a concert here it would be worth the trip. read more

Attended the George Strait concert here. Arrived shortly before the concert start time and got promptly in. Had a good vantage point despite being up high. Sound was great! There were tons of people and the lobby was very warm and felt like the air had stopped working. The actual venue was cool. Would attend another concert here. read more

I love the BOK as a venue. For concerts, the sound had always been great and you do have a good view from just about every seat. Personally, the upper section (300 range) is too steep and narrow for my taste. I get so nervous up there, I rather not to go to a concert than sit up there. Decent variety of food though it's disappointing In The Raw is no longer there. The food is generally good. I especially enjoy The Dog House. The facility is usually clean and bathrooms well kept though it's irritating that there's never hot water in the bathroom. I'd give it 4 or 5 stars if the staff was better. The box office people are way too often clueless about seating and inept at reading their own seating charts. We go to Oilers games frequently and I've had to ask for the VP of ticket sales from them more than once because the BOK staff can't figure out how to do the hockey tickets. The ushers ignore most questions or concerns, too. So really, staff is my biggest issue. And for the hockey games, they really need to control the music volume more based on attendance. It gets way too loud if there's only 5000 people but the be is set for 15000. Pricing is what you'd expect to pay at a big venue like this. And parking is not too bad either. It's disappointing hat there's no free parking area for BOK patrons but it's usually never more than $20 and the parking garage across the street is usually just $8. And downtown has free street parking if you can find a spot. Overall, I'd recommend the BOK to go see a show or game, it's usually a lot of fun despite the staff. read more

Ever since OKC got the thunder and went under "improvements," the BOK center is getting all the lovin. But even after the "improvements," the BOK center will continue to be my, and many others', choice in entertainment venue. It's nice on the eye, picks up the major acts, and engulfs you with it's baddassness. Go to the Ford center for the NBA. But for music, travel to the BOK. (nice jingle, eh?) read more

I've been to quite a few venues around the country and I have to say I am HIGHLY impressed with the BOK Center! From the iconic shape of the exterior to the sweeping interior main lobby, the BOK Center is quite a sight to behold. It's very clean and nice on the inside. As for concessions, I think its awesome that several of the local favorite food establishments have been brought in to complement the traditional arena fare. It is great food at a reasonable price. Soundwise, it is top notch and state of the art. I've never had any problems hearing announcers at sporting events or the lyrics of a song at one of the MANY concerts at the BOK. An amazing venue!!! I've been attending events here since it opened, and I've never regretted going here after that!! It's spacious all around, which is refreshing as many arenas are the opposite, especially in the 300's, but not the bok!!! Staff is always so sweet, and they always have the same people when I go!! I attend concerts very frequently and no other arena does it like them!! The sound is great, food is great, it's easy to navigate and parking is everywhere!! I think we are lucky to have such a great venue here in Tulsa. I have been to the BOK several times, the latest being to see Garth Brooks. The line to get in was long and crowded, but once we got in, things moved smoothly. Every worker I encountered was nice and friendly. We had seats behind the stage and I was a little nervous, but they ended up being amazing seats! I hope the BOK keeps up with bringing all of the best concerts to Tulsa! read more

I've been here for several shows and a couple Oilers games since it was built. I want to address the parking situation first because it seems to be what has bothered most reviewers. The Cox Convention Center parking garage is located diagonally from the arena. It costs $8, is a short walk, has plenty of spaces, and - if you park right - is relatively easy to get out of. Another reviewer mentioned poor acoustics. I'm not sure what they mean. I've always thought the sound quality both at concerts and sporting events was great whether I was on the floor or in the nose bleeds - which are admittedly steep. Depending on the orientation of the stage, nosebleed seating can be bad but if an artist/band plays in the middle it's all good. Food and drinks are expensive, so eating before or after events is recommended. Restroom facilities are clean but not large or numerous enough. Staff isn't very friendly or helpful. Generally it's a good experience, though. read more

Even odder than the Texas contingent who kept holding up their hands with a Spockish two finger verve indicating they were looking for a table for 2, or maybe 2 beers (2 more??! really?), or 2 tacos (good idea); was the lack of awareness of the local rules of competition: much like golf where local rules take (sometimes) precedence over national rules, the same goes for basketball. On the 5 second call some misguided folks are questioning as not actually being 5 seconds which gave Arizona the ball back so as to score the winning basket? It was 5 seconds when considering what both Don Williams and Eric Clapton have crooned as being "Tulsa Time". Well, chalk up another casualty to the cultural amnesia which plagues America, and the win for Arizona. read more

I was so impressed with the BOK Center, I can't wait to come back in may for another concert! The BOK Center was so nice clean and had great, helpful staff. Before the show strolled around the center and got some pizza and dippin dots before the show started. The food was way better than I expected.The line was long but it went fairly quick (or maybe I was too busy people watching to really notice!). On a serious note, I always hear people complain about concessions food prices but this wasn't bad for a meal that include a drink! Our seats was a great view of the stage! Yeah, I felt like I was sitting really close to the other people surrounding me, but it wasn't that bad. Even when I have to sneak out the row and go back up the stairs I was like smashing anyone's toes or struggling to get by. Which is good, cuz nobody likes being stepped on. ANOTHER thing is that the parking garage is $10 (so cheap) and it's literally right across the street. read more

Its a event arena, so what can you say, right? Well, architecturally it is amazing, and I have found myself here many times, from arena football, basketball and hockey games to concerts. Very well laid out and easy to maneuver. Pay 8 bucks to park in the parking garage across the street and you are a short walk to the front doors. During the holidays they also have ice skating set up outside. Hands down better than the Ford Center in OKC, which was the only real option before this was built. Although Caines and Brady theater have there place, this is a much needed and welcomed addition to downtown entertainment. read more

I have also been to many shows at the BOK center and have been very pleased until now. I purchased tickets to Mumford and Sons for myself and 5 other friends. I am now being notified by ticket master that I have purchased more than the 4 ticket limit and 2 of my tickets have been cancelled. So which two friends do I have the pleasure of telling they can't go? Why was I even allowed to buy the tickets in the first place if this were the case? This is supposedly to prevent scalping but what about legit consumers who want to go to a concert with their friends??!! This is a ridiculous policy and something needs to be done. read more

We LOVE attending events at the BOK Center in Tulsa! The staff is always friendly and helpful and even when there is a long line they go out of their way to make sure your experience is wonderful! I have had them offer to take photos for us and even offer to help us find our seats. Also, the security staff is friendly and smile at you when you are walking around. read more

Last night my family was supposed to attend a hockey game. They had not opened the doors till 30min after the game stated. We were in line for an hour to be told we were in the wrong line. This is my least favorite venue in Tulsa. It is completely impersonal. I prefer more intimate places like the Cain's or Brady, but occasionally someone comes here that I really want to see so I suffer through it. read more

The place is fine for sporting events, but for music it has poor acoustics with the echos that are typical of places that were designed for sports events. Would give it 4 stars if it were a sporting event. But if you want to see a musical group be warned. You will need ear plugs to muffle the echos. Now the really bad part is the over priced food and drink that will make you long for the prices in an airport because they are cheaper than the Bok. Outside you will also be raped by the parking, or rather lack of. To get close you are going to get gouged by lots that charge upto 30 for a parking space in lots that during the day when nothing is going on in the Bok are 5 dollars or less. Would be nice if they had just built this place somewhere else outside of down town with the lack of parking and high homeless population (which is why you will want to park close, unless you want to be mugged going back to your car). read more

But bring your ATM card as you will pay for all the comforts and extras at the BOK. Every kind of food that you can think of is there, and its fresh put pricey. I find the sound from a concert to be great no matter where you happen to be sitting. I find it to be the premier arena by far in the southwestern part of America. read more

The BOK has the most ridiculous concert entry system I have ever attended! We stood in line 4 hours before the show in order to get up to the barrier ~ when they FINALLY opened the doors the elderly persons that they placed in charge for paperless tickets could not operate the credit card machines and were bouncing around between lines .... And then we had to wait in line again before they let us into the venue.... Only to get checked again and have to get bracelets near the floor by the slowest ticket collector ever.... The entire process from door to floor took 22 minutes.... And it did not matter where you were in line outside.... First in line and now 8 rows of people back! Thanks BOK... Please be aware that when you purchase tickets on the BOK website they may be from a reseller at an inflated price. I purchased tickets for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at $130 that were originally only $87.50. I excepted this if I purchased them from Ticketmaster, but was surprised to get this from the BOK website. In fact, it looks like I really did purchase them from Ticketmaster. Pretty good venue. I'm from OKC and it was my first time here- we came for Paw Patrol Live. It's easily accessible and has a decent-sized paid parking lot right out front which is pretty convenient. It was $10 and that's very decent. The building looks pretty nice, too. We walked from our hotel about 5 blocks away and there were at least a couple other lots/garages for the same price nearby. So a good location. Inside it seemed pretty well organized and an easy-to-navigate layout. Security check was quick and they were all very friendly. The seating was great- even our midsection seats had a terrific view of the stage. The sounds and lights were great. My only complaint is that the bottled nonalcoholic beverages were $4 for 20oz which is pretty steep. A family of 4 would spend nearly $20 with taxes for water- which is highway robbery if you ask me, considering no outside food or drink is allowed. And the popcorn was WAY too salty, even for me, a salt lover. read more

I only have one complaint about an otherwise outstanding Arena. People should not be allowed to enter the arena late while a performance is going on. They should have to wait until the set changes. I came to see Little Big Town which was the second act before Keith Urban and I was in section 121 on the aisle. As soon as Little Big Town started playing all I could see were peoples butts going down the stairs. I also could not see the screen. I think this is very inconsiderate for the performer and for the person who paid to see the entire concert. read more

Hockey was fairly good (a little slow - seemed a little slower than our high school games of 40 years ago). Biggest downside was ear splitting music at every pause in the action - very intrusive - can we just watch hockey??? My decibel meter hit 102! And some of the songs has gross offensive language NOT fit for the children present let alone anything I want to hear. Way to ruin hockey BOK. Hankering for the good ole days... read more

I love this venue- but PLEASE , City of Tulsa, post some alternate detour routes for getting out of the downtown area. The major roads are closed due to construction. They post closed signs but nothing else! With all the one- way streets downtown, it took us forever to figure out how to get back to our hotel . Tulsa's pride an joy. It has surpassed all expectations. My recommendation is to get 100 level seats. The 300 level seats are just too far away and too high. They may be cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. The 100 level seats often have better views than the floor seats, as you are elevated. Buy your tickets early or last minute on Craigslist.org. read more

I bought Garth Brooks tickets for myself, my 6 year old daughter, & my handicapped grandmother the day the tickets went on sale. We purchased handicapped seats, obviously. When we arrived at the BOK & found our seats there were 3 teenagers in them. The usher checked our tickets & then went and checked theirs. The concert started, & she had us walk back out so we could hear. She said the BOK sold them the same seats so she had to move us. We were escorted by a male to crappy seats. When I questioned it he said, 'I am just trying to accommodate you. This happens & they leave us to deal with it. Usually the show isn't this sold out" I told them the teens should move bc they aren't handicapped. He came back over a few min later & told us he could move us to seats that were equivalent to ours, BUT my 6 year old would need to SIT ON MY LAP. NEVER ONCE did someone say, we apologize. We ended up moving & taking the two seats so we could see better. I'm disgusted with how the BOK handled the situation. read more
