Still an up & down concern venue. 8/24/16 - Coldplay - made me a believer! For concerts, it is imperative that you avoid the upper deck; especially the sides. Also - BTW - venue rule makes you check umbrellas -- any that don't fit in your date's purse -- at the front. Amazingly I actually remembered mine on the way out. Great venue; great concessions; great building. Just don't go too cheap on the concert seats! read more

Let's just get into it I've came here multiple times for concerts. It's a smaller venue than Chesapeake but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Depending on how the artist use the set, it can be a very life changing experience. Bruno Mars had his concert here in 2018 and it was the best concert I've experience. I've been to another concert last night and it was a fun experience but the artist didn't have too much of an extravagant set. This venue is as good as the artist to be honest. The venue is pretty easy to find and parking isn't so much of a hassle bc there aren't tons of food / entertainment places around. That's actually a pro for me. Yes I may still have to pay for parking, but it's easier to navigate and deal with over all. The food vendors at the event was awesome. It took me a minute to find the hot dogs and angry orchid on tap but I was successful. The alcoholic drinks, however, aren't worth it. All they are good for is giving you a slight headache from the mixers and no good vibes during the guzzle at the arena ‍ I suggest pre-game safely and save some money. Of course, ticket prices really depend on the artist you are trying to see. Food & drinks will always be elevated due to it being an event. It's worth the little road trip and if you stay you can explore all the other great things Tulsa has to offer (I suggest bowling & the aquarium ) read more

BOK Center, thank you for you. Apart from bringing in some of the best national acts around like Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, the PBR, etc. you always impress me from a design standpoint and excellent food. They just get it. The will-call line always runs fast, the security upon entrance is quick and logistics of finding your way around is ace. It's as cool looking on the inside as it is from the out and cleanliness is on-point. This is one of the few arenas I will ever choose to eat during a show in. From sushi to french fries to really big beers - they've got it all. And actually, it's quite reasonable too! Parking is around... But certainly not enough for everyone. Do yourself a favor and just get an UBER ride. They can pick you up/ drop you off right out front! And, you'll save $10-$20 in parking anyhow. BOK, you keep it fresh and diverse with scheduling events and you keep Tulsa on the map. OH! We visited the BOK this week for the Okc Thunder preseason game vs the Denver nuggets. Overall it was a good time, however, the one of the seats we bought a ticket for was broken. There was a heavy sand bag tied down to the chair and the cushion was stuck in an upright position. I just sat in the seat on the other side of my husband, which was fine until the rest of the row showed up and we had to move to a different row that was empty. This was frustrating since we had to move mid-game and sit further back than the seats we payed for, even though we brought this to the attention of the event staff. Kind of a bummer! read more

BOK Center is one of the top rated music arenas for the nation and being in Tulsa it brings the top high production concerts and here at a reasonable price. Even though it can seat nearly 20,000 people one can still get a reasonably priced seat and if looking to budget the first 2-3 rows in the 300 level sections are not bad views. There are plenty of parking lots available that can be as low as $5 with just a mere block or two walking distance from the two main entrances. Cocktails are $7 and the lines can get pretty long so plan ahead. There is a decent variety of food options as well. read more

SO as not to confuse the entertainment aspect of the BoK with the arena itself, let me be clear.... this review is for the facility itself, and not in any way about the acts that have performed there. So, that said, let's rock and roll..... EVERY time I've been to an event at the BoK, there's been a huge crowd to get in the door. I get that there's heightened security and all that. I get it. Don't like it, but I get it. What I DON'T get is why the management of the BoK arena doesn't take that into account and manage things better. It's almost as if they really couldn't give a rip about the ticket holders once they have their money. Case in point... we took The Kid to the Nov 15 Trans Siberian Orchestra show, which, by the way was fantastic, but that's another review. We arrived 45 minutes before showtime, only to be met with a veritable MOB of people waiting outside the closed doors. This persisted until well past the posted show time. People were getting VERY irate outside. It was only when someone happened to check their Twitter feed that people started learning there was a delay in the setup for the show. I get it.. stuff happens. It happens every day. It's how you DEAL with it that makes or breaks you. BoK management blew it, and they blew it big time. NO communication with people standing outside. And when we finally did get close to the doors, the ushers/cattle herders just yelled to move to one line or another as the crowd ebbed and flowed. And if this were an isolated incident, I could understand. But to date, out of the multiple events I've attended at the BoK arena, I have yet to experience anything different from this. In fact, one time The Kid's choir class was singing the national anthem at a pre-season Thunder game, and we rolled out to support them. Because of the massive cluster caused by BoK's inept and inefficient management, we didn't get seated UNTIL AFTER HALF TIME. Yes... that's right. half the game missed, not to mention the main reason we came. And it wasn't just us. People with courtside seats were right along with us. Honestly, this last go round left me with such a distaste for BoK's management practices that I seriously can't say I'll go back. I suspect any inbred rhesus monkey could manage the facility better than the idiots that are currently running the show. As for the facility itself... it's great. Nice seating, plenty of room, although the seats could use a tad more leg room, but that's a universal problem. Climate control is usually pretty good, acoustics are as good as an arena can be, and the place is meticulously clean. I just wish it were managed by someone who had a modicum of respect for the customers. read more

This place has easy parking just a stroll away from the main entrance and the venue is well thought out and gorgeous. I love how food row is set all in one area so I don't have to search for food or someplace to eat it. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the sound system. I realize each band or group has their own sound guy so the sound will vary - but it would be nice if they had someone local in charge of the final sound set up. The last two concerts I've been to it was so loud I left with a migraine. read more

I got to visit this beautiful structure over the Thanksgiving holiday when someone gifted me tickets to the Tulsa Oilers hockey game. This is probably one of the most amazingly beautiful buildings I have ever seen. It is clean and modern, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is a good size, but not overwhelming. Typical sports snacks, nachos, cotton candy, beer and hotdogs. Great sound. Fun jumbotron. Great location right downtown walking distance from the hotels and convention center. 2 Thumbs up Tulsa. Yay, Tulsa! Way to get something right! This place is so effing awesome it's ridiculous. The architecture is so beautiful that it's totally unlike any other venue in the nation. It's so pretty! You have to go see it if you haven't already. I've had an amazing time both times I've gone, and I can't wait to see kick ass stuff in the future. Hopefully in a suite. I have gone her twice this year once for Impractical Jokers and once for WWE and both times was a 5 star experience. The security is great and well staffed the ticket checkers are very helpful and as you walk in they will guide you to your seats. The looks of this venue is beautiful the outside, inside, and seating. Concessions has a huge variety and the prices are reasonable for a venue parking is no problem due to their parking garage bathrooms are clean as the whole place is. All in all this is a great venue and clean with a family friendly staff that will make sure you get the best experience. I recommend using SeatGeek and Stub hub and Ticketmaster for events at this Particular venue because of you wait till last minute the cost will go down for example I got floor seating to Smackdown Live for $39 that's unheard of. read more

Great venue for about ANY large event. Generally clean, bathrooms included. I attend and have attended events here for a long time.

I came here for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Some cirque arts performer friends went out here to perform for show headlined by Snoop Dogg & Nelly, so I joined in the road trip up. It was an absolute thrill to get access to backstage and be front row to all the action. This wasn't a huge arena, but it was big enough to fit about 5000+ people. As the night went on, the arena became even more packed, so by then it was a paaaaartay! The facility was nice, clean and there was ample dressing room space for the performers. Since the arena wasn't too big, it took no time at all to get to the other side or even get around it on foot. From the outside, the arena looked like a spaceship. It also looked like from no matter where one sat in the arena, they'd be able to feel pretty up close to the artists. When Snoop Dogg and Nelly got on stage, we were so close that it felt like we got our own personal concert. Wow, what a night! Again, this was an unforgettable experience. I'm so glad I got to visit the BOK Center. I love concerts and live shows. read more

We enjoyed the CHAINSMOKERS concert, and were stoked the upper section (for which our tickets were purchased) was closed, moving us the the lower bowl general admission. I had read reviews about the spacing of the seats in the BOK--- my boyfriend and I (both under 6') had only a couple instances of our arms contacting people walking in the isle behind us. Being a dancing-encouraged concert, we were happy with the amount of movement we could achieve while standing in front of our seats during a jam! I thought the sound and lighting were spectacular -- they can do a ton with the set on stage too (lights lowered & acted as floating stairs at times). I also appreciated the smaller screens set at either side of the stage that presented close-ups for the performers that we wouldn't have seen with a naked eye from our seats. The exterior of the BOK Center is sleek, modern, shiny. We noticed the serious efforts Tulsa, OK has made to modernize the highly industrial city. Multiple hotels, bars, and restaurants are in walking distance of the bustling downtown arena. We parked on the street to the south of the Sherif's station and crossed only one street to get to the front entrance of the BOK (10 min walk). Security took no time at all to pass (all gates open + medium crowd), and the ticket scanners were quick and friendly. In fact, all chaperones I encountered were super friendly! The lobby/food walkway was clean with a few bar height tables available in first-come-first-serve fashion. Several staff members circulated these areas to gather trash or clean small messes. I want every arena to note the condiments cart (K/Mu/Ma/BBQ and napkins) is much more accessible and decreased the appearance of a crowd when located away from the ordering counter. Restrooms were also well maintained (clean) and accessible throughout the arena. read more

I was with a friend going to the oilers game on 01/29/2021. When I arrived I was asked to wear a mask or a face shield. Me having medical conditions, and asking what my could diction was that prevent me from wearing them i was asked to leave. I have never seen a place not accept a person with medical conditions not be allowed in. I'm sad that I cannot attend any event here until covid is done. read more

Spent half the night in lines. Either getting in the BOK center, waiting 45 minutes to get 4 beers which was $52. (Yes I said $52 dollars) or standing out in line to go to the restroom. The BOK may get decent reviews as a concert venue but just getting into an Oilers game is ridiculous!!! First off they have set up some STUPID free ticket scam that is meant to draw you in to buy tickets. Why not just sell tickets at a decent price??? You must take your "free" ticket and trade it in at the box office even if you are not going to upgrade. What office intern came up with that stupid idea... The venue is a good venue to watch hockey but the ticketing system ruins the experience! It leaves people standing in line for the first 30 minutes (at least) of the game. We came here to see the great Sir Paul McCartney on our cross country drive and hooooo boy! What an amazing experience. Let's be honest for a minute, Sir Paul could play a kazoo under a bridge and it would be amazing. But the venue was great. It's an arena, but not so huge that you feel like you're watching ants perform in a bug circus. You'll have typical high prices for beer and food, but that's to be expected from venues such as these. For parking, we found a lot a couple blocks away for about $10. Be aware that the entrance to the building is not entirely obvious if you aren't a local, just follow the crowds and you'll be golden. Upon entrance, you will have the standard bag check, just try to leave the weapons and sharp stuff at home and you'll fly right through security. Once inside, the venue is a large oval, chances are if you keep walking you will end up where you need to be, but the signage is very easy to manage. Also, although the bathrooms are many, large and clean you will have to wait if you are a female who chose to pee right when the concert ends. Be smart, ladies. Pee during a lull in the show. All in all, a great venue that I would definitely go back to if I were in town. read more

Let me start by saying that I love mainstream music and am an avid concert goer. I've seen Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Carrie underwood, Garth Brooks, Lady GaGa and Madonna at the BOK Center (just to name a few). I had a blast at all of these concerts! So why am I giving them a one-star review? Because the way they sell tickets has changed to supposedly stop scalpers. The only thing they did by making this change is piss off a lot of concert goers! You are no longer able to buy more than 4 tickets at a single time. Meaning, if you have a group of 4 couples, you most likely won't sit together because you have to purchase the tickets separately. I've dealt with the change, until now. I'm 100% over it. I bought 8 tickets (in separate sections) for my friends and I to go to Mumford and Sons in April. I just received an email that they oversold the arena and have to cancel 4 of my tickets. How does this happen?! I've called and emailed to no avail. I guess they have no interest in making it right. This place is amazing! This place is like 8 million times better than the Ford Center in OKC. The design of the building is super cool, it's really clean, pretty big (holds around 15k) for Tulsa, and the suites are great. There are also multiple food venders from places like In the Raw, Ike's Chili, Tei Ke's, a BBQ place, etc. I came across an opportunity to go back and see Miss Britney Jean Spears there and she ROCKED THE FRIGGIN' HOUSE. The BOK is beautiful building with all the comfort of modern concert arena. Service was great, all clean, and even the lines weren't bad. Seating was great without any visual obstructions in the way. However, the sound was pretty bad. Maybe it was because we were sitting in section 302, with is up there, but during the Iron Maiden show, it was just echoey, or like you would hear a concert from out side of an open stadium. So dissapointed in the acoustics of the place, but the rest was really great. read more

I've only seen one show at BOK Center (Mumford and Sons on 4/6/16), but based on my experience at this one show, I would definitely come back. As others note, the BOK is cool and semi-futuristic looking, like a building from a planet from Guardians of the Galaxy. It's in a good neighborhood in downtown Tulsa, within walking distance of several bars, restaurants, and hotels. I have no idea of the parking situation, as I stayed at Aloft across the street and was able to walk. We arrived at the show between the opener and the headliner, so the place was humming. Security was a breeze, very quick. One of the quickest I recall for entering a large arena like this. They had separate lines for those with purses, so that made it quicker for us non-purse carriers to get through the other line. Everyone I encountered at this point was very friendly. Immediately upon entering there were beer stands, food stands, and merchandise available. In addition, they had temporary beer stands throughout the arena, in addition to vendors walking through the floor area with beer. It was a concert, so the beer wasn't cheap, but I believe it was $9 for 24 ounces, so that's not horrible. I've certainly seen much worse at a sporting event/concert. We had general admission, and getting to the floor was easy. Once our ticket was checked, we were given bracelets and getting in and out was very easy. We were about halfway into the crowd in the GA, and the view of the stage was very good. I don't know that I would sit in the upper level at this arena, they looked very far away. But, given the quality of the entertainer, I thought the $64 ticket price was very reasonable for how close we ended up. My largest complaint is the bathroom situation. From the moment we arrived, I never saw a point where there wasn't a line at the men's room. This is a problem at most stadiums and arenas, certainly not just BOK. This is a top notch facility that, along with the Chesapeake in OKC, gets Oklahoma lot of national touring acts. I will be watching the schedule and looking for a reason to return to Tulsa to see a show here. read more

This place is kind of a few steps away from a architecture masterpiece. Its really nice inside, which isn't something I can say for every place I've seen a band perform. I saw Keith Urban in concert here with Sugarland opening. So magical. This place is huge. The acoustics are also pretty amazing. Even near the top you can hear the music perfectly. But this place also gets a good rating for being pretty easy to move around. There are exits all along the rows of this place, so getting in and out may be a hassle, but not even half of what it could be. Wish all event centers could be this awesome. :) read more
