If I had the choice, I would find a better repair shop. The repair was so slow, promised a quick fix but that's just lying to me.

I went in for an appraisal. My door was not aligned correctly. Jonathan took a look and went immediately to work and with some muscle he got it right back in a few minutes. He was willing to help me with little regard to soaking me with a big charge. Talk about integrity and ethics. Bojan's did a fantastic job of fixing our car. Their estimate was reasonable (as compared to other estimates in the area), and the bill was exactly their estimate. The car was spotless and looked great after the fender was fixed. They cleaned the interior of our car and even left some paint if we'd need it in the future. I was in a small fender bender and State Farm sent me to Bojan's. I had gone elsewhere for a quote which was twice the price of what Bojan ended up charging. The owner is courteous and honest. Scheduling was no problem, there were no extra "finds" after drop off. When I picked up the car it looked brand new. Brought my car for an estimate, which was in the ballpark of other estimate, so decided to go with them for work. After they had car disassembled on floor, I received a phone call indicating they discovered additional damage and price would go up about $3k. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I had no way of knowing if they were taking advantage of me, other than to demand they stop the work and put the car back together so I could get another estimate. That was not feasible for me, so I told them to do the work. For me, lack of trust is a problem with auto repair industry, and this episode added to that feeling. read more

Took my car to Bojan's / Northbrook after an accident. I was able to get my car dropped off on a Friday afternoon right around close - I appreciate that Mike waited a few min after 5pm so I could get this dropped off. Mike and his crew did a great job (from what I could see) and I could get the feel that this was a mom-pop type of shop that takes pride in their work. Mike was very upfront about what might be used parts and that they needed to meet his quality assurance. Happy with the work done (so far) and everything looks like it was prior to my accident. Luckily insurance took care of most of the cost (I admit to having sticker shock when I saw the invoice) but I had to pay my $500 deductible and found out that they take check or cash only so deducted one star for that since it caught me off guard, would have appreciated knowing that upfront. read more

This is an old fashioned body shop in the best way. The place has been around for ages and there is a reason for that. They take care of things with a level of customer service and value not found at many dealerships. That's a bold statement, but speaking from someone who grew up with a grandfather who had a dealership, a father who has worked at the dealership since he was 15, and one who has chronic bad luck with car dings and scratched. The first time I came in here my husbands car had a small dent that mysteriously showed up after using valet. The owner said he might be able to get most of it out, used the suction and voila! Gone in 2 minutes. He didn't charge us, classy move. We were hit by a jerk coming into our driveway. We used Bojans again. They took care of so much of the hassle with the insurance! We were so impressed. They took care of getting a rental car and having it paid via insurance. They are very kind and go the extra mile for everyone. They don't do much advertising or much for marketing... They just do a great job and make it easy on you. read more

Took my car here twice for repairs and they always did a great job! They kept me informed of the whole process as it was taking place and gave me updates. I have been to other auto body shops where I have had to call them repeatedly to get any information out of them. Bojan's has never been like that. The only complaint I have is that they don't accept credit cards anymore. I had a recent accident and wasn't able to go to Bojan's because I needed to use a credit card. The shop I took it to was the one I mentioned up above where I had to practically beg them to find out any information. Been bringing my vehicles to Bojan's for years. Last year I brought them my pick up truck for some body work on the bed. After 2/3 months the paint started to bubble. I brought the truck back to the shop and talked to the owner and told him he probably should have told me that the truck was full of rust and that it wasn't worth spending over $4000.00 to fix: he basically responded "oh well". Very dishonest people and they will NEVER get my business again. read more

Avoid like the plague!! Bojans had done great work for our family in the past, so this was our first choice for getting out rear bumper fixed. When we went in to pick up our vehicle there was a brand new dent in the the front of the vehicle. The owner came out to look at it then claimed it had already been there and that someone had already touched it up before. He then became very irate and accused my wife and I of trying to Scam him. We filed a police report and the officer even said that the dent looked "fresh" in the report. Shame on them. Since they refused to make good on this, we will be taking them to court and getring our vehicle repaired at another shop. It is a shame becuase they used to be a very honest repair shop. read more

I am now on my 4th time going to Bojans. I was recommended to them by an old boss about 6 years ago and since then they are my preferred auto-body shop. It amazes me that they can take care of everything so quickly. Their customer service is outstanding and the guys working there are so polite. All insurance carriers that I've dealt with going to them have them as a preferred shop and enterprise in the area knows where they are as soon as you mention them. My recent accident happened in front of the car wash next door and I called over to see if they could take a look and recommend if my car was driveable or not. Mike came over and took a look for me which was so helpful to someone who knows nothing about cars. In the past they even gave me a little bottle of my paint color for touchups if I ever needed it which I thought was a nice bonus. Just great guys, very helpful, and the turnaround is outstanding. Always happy to help, never turned me away because they were busy. Always willing to take a look. If I stop working in the north suburbs (I live in the city) I would have a tough time finding a good go-to place to replace Bojans. read more

My usual body shop was in the process of a move that needed a couple of weeks. Someone had backed into my car creating minor damage to the front bumper and grill.I went to Bojan's and got an estimate which listed two parts. The new front grill was $387.00.They promised me the car in two days. On the second day, I called a few hours before I was to pick it up. I was told that a part had come in damaged. (They had the part for several days but apparently they just opened the box! I had rented a car and had to arrange for an extra day. If I hadn't called them, I would have shown up and THEN gotten the news. Later that afternoon, when my car had been halfway finished, I got a call from them: "Oh, by the way, a mistake was made in your estimate. The grill is actually $708.00!" I had no choice. When I called this morning to find out if the car was ready, I was told, "oh by the way, we do not take credit cards. Checks or cash only!" I was NOT told this at the time of the estimate. It is NOT written on the estimate. He said, "Oh, we have a sign in the office." But not written on the estimate and no verbal communication BEFORE hand! Gee. I wonder why they don't take credit cards! NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! They are deceitful and untrustworthy. read more

Mike Bojans is an amazing owner and person. He always takes the time, effort, and method to solve my auto problems. Las week, I had a front and side auto problem. Avoid this place!!! Came here just to make an appointment. They closed the shop before I pulled in (the garage was open when I was waiting to turn). And then didn't answer the phone. Clearly they don't need any business. Went to Lekas in Glenview, and they not only welcomed the business with open arms, the owner came out and did an estimate right on the spot with no appointment, and was totally honest about what I should expect. I helped a friend who needed a car repaired which was towed to Bojans in Northbrook. What a great shop. While all the employees were very good, helpful and knowledgeable, we dealt primarily with Mike Bojan, what a great guy...what a great story. Bojans has been in the family for 53 years, Mike Bojan has been a part of the business for 43 years. If there is a story or a business doing great quality work with honesty and integrity, Bojan's is the place. Everyone speaks highly of Bojan's and they have great Yelp reviews except a single 1-star review...I can only presume this single 1star review was really a competitor trying to take some shine off a great business and businessman. I called Bojan's this morning to have my van looked at to get a quote on the repair of a dent. They scheduled me to come right in that afternoon for an estimate. As soon as Mike saw the dent, he said "let me try something" and proceeded to work with a heat gun to try to pop out the dent. He was able to get it looking better than it was before and was up front and honest that the $800-$1000 repair that would be required to replace the panel would not add that much value back to the van. He didn't charge me for popping the dent out, nor did he try to convince me to spend a lot of money for a repair that wouldn't be recaptured in resale value. This was the second or third time I've been to Bojan's and each time they've been incredibly professional, courteous and honest. read more

I stopped in to get an estimate on 2 small spots where the paint had been damaged on my car. The gentleman who helped me took his time to look the spots over, left for a moment and came back with rubbing compound and removed the spots. This made my day because I had envisioned having to leave my car for at least overnight to have the spots repainted. When I asked how much I owed, he said no charge and asked me to mention Bojan's to friends. I've done that and am also passing this along via yelp. If auto body work or repairs are need, I highly recommend stopping at Bojans! read more
