they mess up my order every time I go them. I ask them at the microphone if they can do it and they say yes but I'm always left disappointed

Service typically takes a little while, but maybe they're cooking it fresh? The food is pretty good

Centreville Luncheonette - Burger, thick and juicy!

Located along Weaverville Road, there is a large sign out front. Parking is a bit tight right in…read morefront of the building but it is not all that bad. There is also a decent amount available, and a handicapped space with a ramp right by front door. Overall access is pretty easy. Walking in, the ordering counter is directly in front. Seating is all tables with a few stools along the counter. It is relatively small inside with seating for about 40, but there is also outdoor seating on either side of the building. One side has a nice gazebo with a picnic table, and other picnic tables have an umbrella for shade. There is a small stream running behind the restaurant making for a nice setting but eating outside you will have some road noise. They are known for their cheeseburger, Reuben, and Philly cheesesteak, according to the owner. Accordingly, we ordered a Reuben, cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and hamburger, plus a basket of fries and a side of onion rings. Even during the lunch rush the food only took about ten minutes to be brought to our table. The Reuben contained plenty of meat on a marbled rye bread. The sauerkraut was present but not overwhelming and there was plenty of cheese for a cheese pull. This was a very good sandwich. The cheesesteak was another winner. There was a good amount of meat and plenty of cheese. The added peppers and onions took it over the top. Both the cheeseburger and hamburger were also very good. The meat is seasoned and flavorful, the added lettuce and onion fresh, and the bun soft. The basket of fries easily satisfied two people. The fries were meaty and a little crispy. The onion rings were also good, with a soft onion inside a crispy batter. It can get a little noisy inside when they get busy, but the service is impeccable and friendly. We were checked on several times to make sure we were enjoying our food. Once you have eaten here, this is the type of place you look forward to returning to often.

You order at the cash register and then find a seat. The staff is very welcoming and warm. I was there with two other friends and we ordered three entrées and we wanted to share. The kitchen cut them up and served them so that we could all taste everything. Down to giving us each two onion rings! Lol Now for the food...perfect. It came quick. It came hot. It came delicious. We had the sweet sausage, a cheeseburger, and a Philly cheesesteak. Everything was just the way I remember from childhood. Walk don't run to this great little spot in Woodfin!

Such a unique gem--delicious daily specials from unique salads to mouth watering baked goodies…read more.. and even if you're not a big sandwich person, their sammies are a MUST! Have a wonderful selection of locally sourced groceries (try the pot pies and the pimento!), their house made breads and sweets are insanely good, and they have really unique and top notch snacks & treats. The owners are the sweetest folks too--often the ones making and serving the food... you can tell a lot of heart goes into the business and your meal!

This was my first time ever visiting Asheville, and somehow one of the places I'll remember most…read morefrom the trip is a sandwich shop/bodega. I stopped in my first day and got the LT sandwich, which was amazing, but I ended up spending almost as much time looking around the store as I did eating. They have everything from local mustards and honey to tinned fish, seasonings, and a whole section from a local creamery with ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, etc. Everything seems thoughtfully picked out and locally sourced when possible, without having the ridiculous prices you sometimes expect from a place like this. The staff was also amazing--genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to talk about the food and everything they carry. I liked the place enough that, despite having an entire city of restaurants I'd never tried before, I came back the very next day. This time I got the grinder, which ended up being my favorite, along with the roast beef, which was also delicious. Between the sandwiches, the people, and the frankly ridiculous amount of good shit packed into the store, everything about this place was great. There are plenty of places I didn't get a chance to try while I was in Asheville, but I have absolutely no regrets using two lunches on this one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Shoutout to one of the owners- Patty- goes out of his way to take care of customers
