This Carolina born restaurant has been serving chicken, biscuits, tea & more since 1977. The dining room had cushioned chairs, which I liked & they were quite comfortable. The tables were cleared but most were not wiped down. The music was too loud & the AC too cold. Counter service was fast & friendly. I had the Bo Bites Combo with two sauces, Dirty Rice & Watermelon Tea. The Bites were really pretty big, the chicken was okay & it was crispy. I didn't care for the two sauces (Bo's Special Sauce & Peach Honey Pepper), I much preferred the Ranch Sauce for dipping. The Dirty Rice was great & very tasty, but the cook temperature wasn't hot. The star of the meal was the tea, it was delicious & refreshing! Next time I'll try their breakfast menu, which is served all day...the Biscuit Meals look inviting. read more

Went there for a quick breakfast biscuit and and for a courtesy cup of ice water,well got my order ,but to my surprise he handed me the cup ,lite as a feather without opening I said no water is in cup and handed it back ,he stood there looking around so I said it needs water in it ,that is just ice he turns around 5 other workers standing as well like there is no water in the building and hands me the cup back I opened the lid and poured out a couple pieces of ice and said see no water, so I said next time call a 5 year old to get water he is a lot smarter than 5 idiots standing there like no one knows what a cup of water is , so I threw away the cup of ice and the food because if you don't know what courtesy cup of ice water is then I don't trust what the food was in the bag, NOT THE BOJANGLES IN HICKORY ITS THE ONE IN NEWTON..WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN read more

This is the worse Bojangles EVER!!! I ordered a 8 piece meal. I was told it would take 10 mins for chicken. Which was fine at least it would be hot right? I waited ten mins. The manager comes out and gives my food to someone else. They take off fast. He comes to me with a 2 piece combo!!! Then questioned my integrity by asking for my receipt. He apologized and said he would go get my order fast. 10 mins later he comes back out and says it will be 5 mins for my fries. And apologized for being short staffed. I patiently told him that's fine. Life happens. 5 mins later a homeless guy while talking to himself. Sits 10 feet from the drive thru window. Reaches in his pocket and LIGHTS A FIRE!!!! To warm his cold fingers. The manager comes out with my food and proceeds to get into an altercations with the homeless guy. WHILE HOLDING MY FOOD Then he forgot my large container of sweet tea. First time ever to any Bojangles, walked in at noon with my family ready to eat as I've heard the food is great. EVERY table in this establishment was dirty. If they can't take 10 seconds to wipe a table I can only imagine what is happening in the kitchen, we left immediately. Not sure why the staff is so negligent, just sad! read more

Not sure if the employees were just having a bad morning or not, but my God they couldn't have been more rude. from taking my order, to taking my money, they were rude from start to finish. it was like watching paint dry, and I politely asked for condiments, they looked at me as if I asked them to pay for my all inclusive vacation to Hawaii or something. Go inside...its faster people! This is an institution in the mid-atlantic states. I'd never had it, but they offered biscuits & chicken and how could you go wrong with that. Had breakfast at this location coming home from Winston-Salem. The day I went, it was extremely busy. This is why I fail to see why other people's reviews say that they have "slow service," because this was a morning where the whole restaurant was literally packed, and I was able to receive my order in a very surprisingly short amount of time. This review is a 3 star because of the service. She gave such a rude look to all of us and looked uninterested. She snapped at our questions and just was not very friendly. Food is excellent. The chicken was moist and the fries were a little over seasoned but overall I'd give the food a 3.5. How could you not love such a wonderful place? The breathtaking view of the gas station next door probably tops off the amazing Bojangle's experience. With Popeye's being added next to Walmart, I would expect the ratings of Bojangle's to skyrocket. Popeye's opened my eyes, Bojangle's has great chicken, the absolute king of fries, and the biscuits are sure to rock your socks if nothing else does. My favorite part of Bojangle's has to be everything about it. When I pull up to the drive-thru, you better believe that I'm grinning ear to ear. I wouldn't be complete without the scrumptious roasted bites they offer. Also, Bojangle's has many more options than Popeye's. The only thing holding me back from going to Bojangle's every single day is the thought of being too fat to fit in the doorway. I've never seen more employees happier to be working than those at Bojangle's. You can taste the enjoyment in every bite of the chicken leg and world famous biscuits. Don't be afraid to try everything on this vast menu, I guarantee that you will love every item. Don't forget to pick up a gallon of the superior tea, even grandma doesn't make tea as good as that. Bojangle's is always number one on my to do list, and I make sure that I drop by to check that off. Also, don't forget to donate to any organization that Bojangle's is supporting. Nothing makes momma prouder than seeing her child's name on the wall as a dedicated supporter of people in need. Just remember, that dollar goes towards a great cause. It shows that Bojangle's is socially responsible and wants to promote good acts in the community. If ten stars was an option, Bojangle's would achieve that rating.
