Im from Massachusetts and wanted to give this place a try. The chicken was ok. The dirty rice and the side of beans were disappointing but tasted ok. The service was great! The atmosphere was that of a typical fast food restaurant. The prices were fair. My overall favorites were the BoBerry biscuits!! I would not recommend eating here. I went through the drive through and as i was waiting for my food i just paid for and the woman working the window turns her back to me and reaches down her pants grabs her thong to pull it up. Hailing from a part of the country that doesn't have Bojangles, we decided it's high-time to see what the fuss is all about. We popped in after landing at TYS before heading east to Pigeon Forge. Glad we did! We tried/shared a chicken sandwich with all the trimmings - loved it; 6 piece chicken tenders - wished we ordered more; fries - they hit the spot; and a biscuit- drizzled with honey. So now we know what the fuss is all about, and I'll be making a fuss until I get back for more. Good chicken! read more

I agree with Henry. This was my first time at Bojangles, and I must say it's worth the hype. Don't listen to the other reviews. My experience is that people don't tend to write good reviews of places; they only write reviews when their experience was bad. Maybe this place has had its off days, but my experience here has been amazing. The food was hot, the service was quick, the staff was happy, and the restaurant was extremely clean; and I mean CLEAN! I found a Bojangles here in Alcoa, Tennessee because I was craving for it during my short week in East Tennessee and West Southwest Virginia. It was pretty cool to find them here near the Knoxville McGee Tyson regional airport and literally next to my hotel. I was like, why not? Last meal from Bojangles before my flight in the morning. Bojangles is a regional fast food chain that is famous for its fried chicken and biscuits, among other favorites. From my previous experience with Bojangles, I fell in love with their dirty rice, I knew I had to go back and experience more. I'm glad that I found another location during my time here in eastern tennessee before I had to fly home. It was my last ditch effort to have such southern comfort food before having to wait till my next trip. Bojangles isn't a nationwide restaurant, although I wished it would have been. I'm thankful that I located near my hotel in Alcoa, Tennessee. The dirty rice is amazing, I thought and I sought out another helping to get my fix. While a few fast food restaurants have their own version of flavored rice, I felt like I had to come to Bojangles to get the real stuff. One of my last meals in Alcoa, Tennessee was here at this Bojangles next to the McGee Tyson regional airport. I arrived here around 5:45pm on a Monday evening, at the tale end of the dinner rush. Thankfully on a Monday, there wasn't much of a rush at all and I was basically the only one in that night. This experience here at this Bojangles was also short and sweet, as with many fast food joints across the country I opted to do take out and eat in my hotel room after getting my order, since I was staying literally next door at the LaQuinta hotel and suites. I did enjoy the quiet ambiance that evening in this Bojangles restaurant while in this restaurant. At the time of my visit, the restaurant dining area was virtually empty, so it was nice but eerie. This Bojangles restaurant was really clean and quite nice, especially when you're here on any given weekday evening. The overall experience here at this particular Bojangles Famous Chicken N Biscuits was positive, quiet, casual, and very much good. I do draw similarities with Popeye's chicken fast food restaurant and wonder if they are brother / sister companies or something. For the most part though, I spent about 45 minutes here from stepping in the door, ordering, pick up, eating, and leaving the establishment. I can't rave about the dirty rice enough and should have picked up more dirty rice for later cravings. Being that Bojangles does not have locations in Hawaii just yet, it would be best that I come to one during my future trips where Bojangles has a presence. On this trip to Bojangles here in Alcoa Tennessee, I basically ordered the picnic size version of the dirty rice, since it's just too good. I also ordered some biscuits and a couple of pieces of fried chicken to compliment the meal. Along with a medium sized soft drink, I was good to go. The prices here are pretty good here and okay. I'm still amazed that fried chicken is as pricey as it is (generally speaking), but I guess the restaurant needs to make money too. I did enjoy the crispy skin that comes with the fried chicken. I ordered spicy this time around, which was nice and definitely welcomed on a Monday evening before jet setting the next morning. I enjoyed the biscuits, as it was very warm as I imagine it came straight from the oven. The meal was nice and definitely the capstone to my trip here in eastern Tennessee. This Bojangles Famous Chicken N Biscuits fast food restaurant is located at 2468 Alcoa Highway here in Alcoa, Tennessee. It was basically next door from my hotel where I was staying for a weekend in March 2019, the LaQuinta hotel and suites, so it was very convenient for me. I just happened to be driving around the downtown area and saw this and thought it was a good time for Bojangles. They accept major credit cards, which is always a good thing - as well as cash for us tourist folk who are always on the go. Parking here can be problematic, if you come here during peak hours. Best bet would be to come before or after the lunch or dinner rush to secure the best parking spot available. Not sure if there is public transportation available in Alcoa, but best bet would be to have your own rental car or private car to come here. For the most part though, my time here at Bojangles Famous Chicken N Biscuits was nice and had my fill of dirty rice. Hope to be back again at a Bojangles location soon. Well, not this specific location as I've been here already. While not the healthiest, it serves its customer base and once in a while is definitely okay. If you're in the area of Alcoa / Knoxville TN or just passing through, come check things out here at Bojangles. Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday and got a two piece dinner. The chicken was just about perfect-hot, juicy, and crunchy. The fries were great. The dirty rice was okay. The staff was is good spirits. My experience is that happy staff make good food. read more

Let me preface this with saying that I used to live in the south for five years, and I've since moved up north of the Mason Dixon line. I really enjoyed my time in the Carolinas, and part of that was Bojangles. I sincerely miss it, and find it much better than Popeyes, KFC, or Church's. There was nothing especially special about this location, except that it had all of the wonderful Bojangles food that I love. The Cajun filet was perfectly spicy, and the fried chicken breast was juicy, crunchy, and exactly what I remembered. My food was ready within one minute of ordering, even at 8 PM. I would pass on this place if I were looking for good chicken. 6:30 PM on Saturday night ordered a 2 Breast dinner-with beans and slaw. Pull to window, sorry sir we are out of breasts. Ok give me legs and thighs. ( who is out of breasts at 6:30 during dinner) Got back to hotel room opened box and the chicken was fried to almost a unrecognizable condition. Plus no slaw.
