I had the unfortunate experience of falling into a trap of a cheap quote to do my roof by fly by night operators from outside home depot. To my horror they ripped open my roof exposing my house to the bones, suddenly realized that my roof was way more complicated than they expected (with old wooden structure underneath the shingles) and they just took off and disappeared, of course along with my advance money too. I was all in a state of panic due to my open roof and frantically reached out to google to google roofers. Up came Team All Star - i made a call late evening and pleaded it was urgent. From there on that was the best call i have ever made in my life for an all purpose contractor. Larry returned my call almost instantaneously after reading the urgent message. I explained to Larry what had happened and since this was the fist time i was ever doing a roof was in a state of panic. Larry was calm and told me that from there on it was his problem and assured me nothing would happen to my house. From there on it was an amazing experience - Larry showed up first thing next morning and had already used satellite technology to map out my roof and had a quote ready all inclusive. He took time in explaining the process and timelines all the while assuring me that he would take care of the problem. From there, Larry's project manager Geremy took over and the work went as explained on the timelines explained and as assured my house was well taken care of. Geremy supervised the whole show - organized the demo team who were extremely courteous, professional and amazing. They demo'd my roof and then cleaned my place cleaner than it was even before they started taking care of all the trash left behind by the previous rogues. From there the material was delivered, crews showed up and completed the work in record time under a week. Since this was the first time i was doing a roof and with my house exposed, i was in a state of panic and texted Geremy and Larry many times. I was amazed at the courtesy, care and prompt response from both of them always re-assuring me and putting me at ease at every moment all the while understanding that i was a concerned home owner. They responded professionally to every text and ensured Geremy dropped over the next day to ensure all was on track. My roof is now complete in record time and it is an amazing job so well done that my neighbors have been commenting that the house looks like new. Team all star has won my confidence and any business i may ever have for life. I strongly recommend Larry and Geremy and you will not ever regret selecting them for your work. The project involved multiple contracts and payments, but the billing was never clearly reconciled. Beginning in November 2025, I repeatedly provided written summaries of contracts, payments, and balances and asked for confirmation or correction. I did not receive a clear written reconciliation explaining how totals were calculated or how payments were applied. We eventually met and discussed the project, and while we now understand each other's positions, we do not agree on the outcome. A key issue is the treatment of a prior $18,000 payment within revised kitchen/flooring contracts, which remains in dispute. There were also instances where similar scope appeared across multiple contracts without clear explanation of whether work was included, replaced, or added. In addition, some pricing--particularly electrical work--expanded significantly without clear upfront definition. The project has taken much longer than originally discussed. The ADU was expected to be completed in about 90 days, but more than a year later it is still not fully usable. My kitchen is also not usable. Cabinet doors have not been installed, and the space is filled with materials and items moved during construction, making it difficult to access or use normally. Because I need to use the ADU kitchen due to the condition of the main kitchen, I have been unable to rent out the ADU despite having a tenant ready. I am still trying to resolve the billing issues and get a clear plan to complete the remaining work.
