Found this place on Yelp so my hubby decided to give it a try. The staff was really helpful in finding appointments that fit our schedule. The doctor was great in explaining issues and recommendations for acupuncture. I've been to acupunctures many times and felt that that this place was very experienced. I was not able to try the chiropractor here, my insurance covers acupuncture but the doctor for chiropractic services does not accept UnitedHealth Care. read more

I went to Dr Bohnet because my Dr, who worked for her, just disappeared one day. Dr Bohnet told me my Dr, who I really liked, 'quit'. This was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a Dr. She came into the room, introduced herself and seemed very pleasant. As soon as I began telling her about the problems I was having, she began interrupting, talking over me and took over the conversation without allowing me to speak any longer. She made it clear she didn't approve of the way my Dr worked and if I wanted to be her patient, I had to agree to her rules. She said we were to pick one area to work on and would only move on to another area once that area had improved. I couldn't come in and say another area hurt because that was unacceptable. We had to set priorities and move forward in order of those priorities, even if I had pain somewhere else. It showed in my chart that I'd had 2 falls with injuries in two months. I had pain all over and my previous Dr would always work on the worst areas each week. Dr Bohnet treated me like a hypochondriac because she hadn't read far enough to see that I'd had those two falls. She was condescending, rude and disrespectful. Not once did she ask for an explanation of my chart, she just assumed. She did calm down and I let her work on the pain in my knee. I didn't confront her as I knew I would never come back to a Dr who treated another human being in such a demeaning way. Dr and patient need to work together, it isn't a disciplinarian , 'you do as I say' relationship. Also, I've since found out that my Dr was fired by Dr Bohnet and she didn't quit. Thankfully, I'm back with my original Dr now. read more

There appears to be a lot of miscommunication, as they said they never received my emails about my car accident, the reason why I was not able to make the appointment. Instead, it appeared that they just sent "bills" and eventually, the collection agency, which was frustrating given that I thought they did get my correspondence. I was in pain for nearly a year. Terrible pain in my neck and the surrounding nerves. I literally limped in to be treated by Dr. Fernandez. I walked out of there pain free and have remained pain free for a full six days following just one treatment. I am going back for my second treatment today. I am kicking myself for not seeking chiropractic earlier. I had been doing hot yoga and getting massages, both only giving me temporary relief. He really listened to me and then adjusted me. Nothing to complain about, on the contrary very professional , friendly staff. Dr. Darcy Dill chiropractor who really knows what he's doing, helps me a lot with my back bounce issues. After only one season my strong and constant pain is gone. he helped me with advice also and sending me e mails with exercises purposely for my problem. He's amazing! I don't think I'm gonna stop visiting him at least once a month, thanks to him I'm painless and my movement is not limited anymore. First of all, WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG to try acupuncture? This is the best gift I've given myself, ever. I cannot say enough great things about Dr Bohnet and her staff, and the facility as a whole, and about my results so far. I have had 6 sessions as of this week, and my results are so impressive to me. I should mention that while I am an optimistic person, I did have a healthy dose of skepticism before trying acupuncture - even tho many of my friends and family had recommended trying it. I am thrilled to say any skepticism I had was gone after my initial consult and first treatment. My progress continues to build with each visit and I do see why a series of visits is necessary until you get to a maintenance stage. One of the most impressive things about Dr Bohnet is that she is a great listener and she remembers the smallest details of everything I tell her. My husband and had a chiropractic adjustment with Kristen Bohnet yesterday and it was fantastic. This was the first time that we saw Kristen. She was friendly and personable, however moreover she is an extremely skilled chiropractor. Both my husband and I were very pleased with our adjustments. Plus her office staff is great to work with. I called on a Friday morning to make our appointments and the front desk gal said she could get us both in on Wednesday, which is completely understandable, however she could tell that I was hoping to get in sooner. I got a call back from the front desk gal about a half hour later asking me my availability that afternoon because they were trying to accommodate us. They squeezed us both in for adjustments in between Kristen's acupuncture appointment. Now that is going above and beyond for your clients! My husband and I have adjustments scheduled for next week with Kristen and we will definitely see her regularly while we are in the desert. Love this place. My first experience with acupuncture. I was skeptical. Kristen was terrific she explained how acupuncture works. She Looked at my health records and took the time to see where the pain was resinating from. I have had several visits and I am having more better days than bad ones. I was in extreme pain with some muscular issues in my lower back. I had already tried acupuncture somewhere else, with no success, been to urgent care and received a shot, plus steroids and nothing was working. Kristen was my life saver. After examination she felt a chiropractic adjustment was what was needed. The process felt so good, but I was very sore the rest of the day. I had a very stiff-neck and my range of motion was minimal. I lived with this for decades until one day I said ACUPUNCTURE! Something I have never tried so I decided to give it a shot. My goal was to loosen my neck enough to get a proper neck adjustment. I went through 6 acupuncture treatments & 2 adjustments at Dr. Bohnet's office. My neck is close to perfect. I can't believe it. I would recommend the same treatments to anyone who is living in similar pain. I also have a condition called 1st bite syndrome. I mentioned it during my consultation. First bite syndrome is characterized as pain in the parotid (salivary gland) gland or lower jaw area (mandibular region) at the first bite and, subsequently improves with each bite. It isn't life-threatening but it is uncomfortable. So Dr. Bohnet wanted to see if she could treat it along with my neck. I can say that the pain has lessened and doesn't last as long. I hope to continue treatments until I am pain-free. read more

Fantastic Chiropractor! I've had a lot of chiropractic therapy in my life and every doctor develops their own style of treatment. In short, I'm happy with the treatments I receive from Dr. Neff. He employs methods that do not rely upon forceful manipulations, but instead soothes the soft tissue where inflammation builds up. At 68, I welcome this kind of treatment, but would encourage anyone of any age to see him. As a bonus, he does a great job of explaining how the body works, which is a comfort in and of itself. Doctor Neff uses a four step process employing the use of exotic state-of-the-art machines made in Germany that no one else has. read more

Dr. Bohnet is wonderful. She's caring, listens well, knows what she's doing, and I can honestly say I've never felt better than I did after her treatments. After similar sessions from another local office, she shines as the brightest star in my book. My complaint is from the front desk. As soon as they hear you are not self pay and that you are covered by insurance, everything changes. They all of a sudden have no appointments available for you, they can't find you in their system, they didn't receive the referral, they "haven't gotten paid for the last treatments", etc., and you are made to feel like a 2nd or 3rd class citizen. I was heartbroken. This is the cream of the crop, in my opinion, as far as back office treatments and bedside manner goes, and I was excited to be able to get a referral to see Dr. Bohnet again. To be given the excuses I was from the front desk, and to hear her attitude when I said I had insurance was such a stab in the heart, I was disgusted. I was told they would get back to me, which she did, but I had already decided I didn't need to be treated that way. Within the hour I found another Dr., booked an appt., and am very happy with the results. All this to say that if you are self/cash pay, it's a great place to be; if not...find somewhere else, because they are not interested in you :'( read more

I wrote a review 2 years ago and gave Dr Bohnet's office a 4. I regret that I did that. I was disappointed I didn't get to see her and instead saw another Dr. who actually did help me. I'm back in the desert and suffering from a bad back spasm so I called. They gave me a choice of which doctor I wanted to see so I chose Dr Bohnet. When I got there everyone was so kind and respectful. Especially Dr. Bohnet. She remembered me and apologized for not seeing me before (which was 2 years ago). Her treatment was so good. She was gentle because of my pain but found every pain spot. She gave me excellent information to aid in my recovery and made an appt for me on Friday after 5pm because she was booked all day. The best and most caring chiropractor. First, she is a miracle worker! I was bedridden for a couple of days with a pain in my neck and being a single mom and not being able to do my mom duties really took a toll on me but after my appointment with Dr.Bohnet (chiropractic work) I was able to move my neck and go home and cook dinner. She is so gentle yet excellent at her job. Her hands are gifted! I should mention that I drive an hour and a half one way just to see her. She is so worth the drive! Tried chiropractors locally where I live and no one compares to her. Both of my girls, 22 and 10-year-old see her also. She has healed my older daughter from allergies and working with my 10-year-old for her ADHD. Dr. Bohnet is the best chiropractor I have ever gone to and I have been to many. She spent a lot of time explaining my condition of TMJ and in three sessions I was pain free. Her adjustments were precise yet gentle. We were visiting the L.a Quinta area on holidays and because Dr Bohnet knew I had a long trip home, she even came out to my vehicle to check the position of my seat to ensure that did not aggravate this condition again. Great at diagnosis and treatment with either chiropractic or acupuncture! My shoulder pain was healed in 3 visits to her. I had previously seen my Primary Care MD who sent me to a Physical Therapist for just a consultation. I was told go home and do some exercises for "tendonitis" (that I had for nearly a year!) Two weeks after the 3 treatments from Dr. Bohnet I was 90% better and kept improving.
