Dr. Dawson is a really good chiropractor. He has an unassuming office across from JFK, and seems to have an unending steady stream of patients. He has nice roller tables to loosen up my back before adjustments - and has done electrical stimulation afterwards to calm down my muscles. He also is the only doctor that I have seen that has an adjustment table that allows you to get on and off of it from a standing position. Such a plus for older folks with limited mobility. Another plus - his bathroom is so nice and clean. They readily take insurance and Medical Spending accounts for the deductible portion. He is also a really nice guy. read more

My experience with this office had to do with an insurance report of my injuries. I am getting ready for double hip replacement but yet this office said there is nothing wrong with me. I would never use this offices services because their report was either totally dishonest or they didn't know what they were doing. My family has been coming here for at least 10 years. Dr. Dawson has treated our children with ALL their sports injuries... I actually took my child to Dr Dawson first when my child broke their clavicle. Dr. Dawson took an Xray, explained the image to us, and talked to us about what needs to happen. He put my child in a shoulder sling. We then took our child to the pediatrician and he agreed with Dr. Dawson. Several weeks later we came back for a check up and our child's clavicle had healed perfectly! Dr. Dawson has also helped both me and my hubby with our adjustment needs. The whole staff is awesome! (If you are too old or too young to get the reference, there was a show in the 90's [I never watched it] called Dawson's Creek.) I first came to Dr. Dawson after being injured in a traffic collision. His office was close and I could barely turn my neck so I chose him. His office staff is always very kind and helpful and Dr. Dawson was thorough in his examination and very kind and gentle in his application of treatment. If I had to come up with one thing this office lacks, it's a massage therapist, but there are massage tables to lay on that help relax muscles before adjustments. They also do electrical stimulation which decrease my neck pain and stiffness and they are now even selling homeopathic remedies and CBD cream, which I have yet to try. All in all, it's close, a local office, great interactive staff and a considerate doctor who takes his time and doesn't just pop and push you out the door. I've been receiving treatment from Dr. Dawson for a few years now. I suffer from debilitating migraines and he's successfully provided relief when meds have failed. I visited Dr. Dawson today for the first time. My hubby had an appt. I had to drive him because he said he was hurting really bad. Once I got there I asked if it would be possible to get me in. Wonderful "manipulator"! I was visiting my family from out of town and ended up with a terrible migraine. I found Dr. Dawson under the local Yelp and loved his reviews. I called and hoped I could get in quickly and they were able to accommodate me that morning. I thought the reception staff went out of their way to make me feel welcomed since I was from out of town but I watched them interact with all patients with the same gracious manner. I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and orderly manner in which the office and exam rooms were. I have a nursing background and appreciate when things are in order and clean. I loved the roller table I was put on to help stretch and relax my spine. I met with Dr. Dawson and he was very thorough with his history taking, questions, physical exam, and explanations. I was nervous since he was new to me but WOW! He was gentle but thorough. I tend to be "helpful" and therefore tense up. He was able to distract me which helped me relax and him to be able to perform a more thorough manipulation. He manipulated my spine better than any doctor has!!! I wish I could transplant him to my home town!!! I felt instantly better. With how flexible and relaxed my spine was, I felt I could do cartwheels out of the office. I was grateful to be able to get back to enjoying the rest of my time with family with no headache!! If I am ever back in Indio, I will be back! read more
