Our problem was mice. He came out and 'mouse proofed' the house. It did not work. We called him several times to finish addressing it. He promised to come out and never did. We paid a total of over $1000 and still have mice. He's irresponsible and unreliable. Don't use them!! read more

I never actually received services from this company. Backstory, my house pulled in a wasp nest and yellowjacket next over the course of a few days in my soffit. It was Sunday when I started searching for pest control companies. I went ahead and gave these guys a ring and requested info on their website. The gentleman texted back, not the most professional text in the world, but I let it go and we agreed on the next day. To say I was disappointed the next day is an understatement. One of the other vendors I reached out to offered a same-day appointment in the morning, but I declined as I already committed to these guys (admittedly with no idea of the price because the only exchange is via the attached text). I reached out to the company, nothing, no response. Later that night, I secured a different vendor and moved on... but how completely unprofessional do you have to be to set an appointment for work and then just ghost the person. I would never recommend anyone doing (or attempt to) do business with these guys. read more

We had a really active yellow jacket hornets nest in the siding of our house and had wasps swarming all over. One service call is all it took for Bohmz Pest Service to kill the nasty hornets. They went "over-the-top" and took down some old wasp nests that were too high for me to knock down from my eaves - they were kind of an ugly thing to look at, so I was very appreciative of the extra initiative. I felt that the technician really was knowledgeable in how to fix the problem and would recommend them. read more

Two skunks had dug a burrow under my front step. I used the company to have them removed. I chose Bohmz because it was the only one that was immediately available. It took several days and two resets before any skunks were caught. Partially, this was due to rain on the first night and not the service provider's fault. The second night some animal removed one trap and sprung another, but nothing was caught. After that, the service provider returned promptly to reset and bait the traps. Finally, one skunk was caught. Another was clearly still using the burrow, but was not caught that night. The service provider was reluctant to change out the old bait for new bait, but did do it when I insisted. After that a second skunk was caught. To ensure that all the skunks were caught, the traps were reset and left in place. The next day, the traps were untouched, but a woodchuck was seen entering the burrow. There were clearly no more skunks. The service provider put in different bait for the woodchuck. Over the next two nights, there was no further sign of the woodchuck. Also, no animal was using the burrow (a plastic bag stuffed in the entrance showed if anyone went in or out). On the third morning, a skunk was caught in one of the traps. This skunk had clearly not been in the burrow. The service provider suggested it had been "in the neighborhood." All that is well and good, but the third skunk would not have been caught except that the service provider did not clean the traps or switch the traps after the original skunks were gone. The woodchuck bait was just put in the same traps. I had noticed that some of the skunk bait was also in one of the traps. That is the trap that caught the 3rd skunk. This service provider charged a high inspection price for the original set-up. He also originally quoted an inspection price plus "$60 for removal." He did not say "$60 for removal of each skunk." So I assumed the $60 included all removals. On top of that, the 3rd skunk was attracted to these traps because of the bait left in them. It would not have been trapped on my property otherwise. There are skunks in the neighborhood. It was not my intention to trap all of them, but only the two that had burrowed under my step. I feel that 1) the provider should have made his cost structure clear (another company cited an initial fee plus a removal fee per skunk), 2) I should not have been charged for a third skunk that was attracted to the mess left by the service provider. I paid the bill, but I would not recommend this company or use it in future. read more

Hard to get on phone, didn't return calls, wanted money up front (over $100) just for a consultation. After consultation, they told me the job would cost much more than discussed - close to a grand. Got it done for a few hundred by another company. Bohmz won't refund the consultation fee. I'm thinking they make a lot of money off of those "consultations." Not good. read more

Brian came out several times to catch raccoons living under my house. He caught 4 of them but I still have 2 raccoons that need to be caught. I have contacted him several times but no answer. He also took several concrete blocks that were on my patio & used to weigh down the traps. I have asked him 3 times to return the blocks but he still hasn't returned them. Not only is their customer service terrible but they are thieves. I would not recommend them at all. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB & the WI Consumer Dept. read more

On 02/09/15 I began a conversation with Matt Bohms to take a look at a bat problem we are having in the shutters outside our house. We set up an "inspection" for 2/11/15. Matt did show up, walked around the house and asked a few questions. Upon agreeing Bohmz Pest could take the shutters down, remove the bats (however that is performed) clean, then replace the shutters with a foam seal to keep the bats out, I was given a BILL for the estimate. At no time was I ever informed the inspection would be at my expense. I paid Matt $129 as I was alone and shocked, unsure if I could refuse to pay. He did explain half the charge could be used at the time of service toward the work to be completed. Estimate for return service was additional $289. Later in February I called Matt and agreed to have the service done. On 04/08/15 I contacted Matt again via email to see if he had an ETA for the work to be completed. He replied, he would be with us ASAP. I did not hear from Bohmz Pest again, I contacted them yet again 06/16/15 via email with no reply. I called the business around August 21 and was contacted by Brian who did not even know about the agreement for the work to be done. He said he would come out the following week to complete it, but never showed up. I contacted Brian via text August 24th to let him know we just wanted the shutters taken down, the area cleaned, but to leave the shutters off. Brian called me back and was more than a little rude. By this time I was beyond ready to just get a refund and call it off. Brian told me they did not "clean" the area unless it was inside. I explained we did not have bats inside, he asked if I was sure. I am. He said Matt would get back to me with an updated estimate via email or phone that week. Matt did not. I sent an email to Matt explaining at this point, I did not believe they ever planned to complete the work, and I would like a refund of the $129.00. I let them know I would be lodging a complaint with BBB, and posting negative reviews on Yelp, Angies List and Google as well as any other social media outlets if I did not receive a reply. To this date, I have not heard from Bohmz Pest Services. This company has horrible customer service and should reconsider whether they should be offering services they are not qualified nor motivated to perform. read more

We have a problem with bats and had Bohmz come out to do an exclusion last spring. It took many phone calls for them to finally make it back out and ended up costing a few hundred dollars for about a half hours worth of work but we really needed the service so it was worth it. We went a few months without hearing a bat and could not believe it. However, in November we started hearing bats again in the attic and called Bohmz who told us they would be out by the end of Thanksgiving week to check out the situation. Well after a few more calls trying to see when they would be coming out it is now 2015 and were still hearing bats and no response from Bohmz. Time to try someone new after being very dissatisfied. read more

Hired Matt Bohmz to do attic restoration and gable vent repairs resulting from raccoon infestation. Nearly a year after attic insulation was replaced, gable vent repairs and pest screens remain undone with no response from owner as to when job will be completed as specified per contract. It appears BOHMZ has no intention of finishing the work. read more
