They took us on a very last-minute appointment request and the Groomer did an amazing job. My Nelly girl was beautiful when we picked her up and she was very calm as though she wasn't nervous in the new setting at all. I cannot remember the groomers's name, but she did fabulous! read more

I've been coming here for a while and have never had any issues until last night. We arrived about 25 minutes before closing because we just wanted to quickly rinse our dogs. We spoke with an employee, Chris, and asked if it was okay. He said it was fine as long as we were finished by 7 PM. We told him no problem because our dogs are small and we would be in and out. We washed our dogs quickly and were drying them when we noticed that the towels available were stained. We went back and asked for three clean towels and asked if we could pay. Chris told us the towels were clean, said we didn't need towels, and told us we should have come earlier. He then refused to give us any towels. We explained that if he wanted us out by 7 PM, we needed the towels so we could properly dry our dogs. He continued refusing and eventually told us to leave. We explained that our dogs were still wet and that we weren't going to pay for a service we weren't able to finish. Instead of simply giving us the towels, he started calling the police. Thankfully, another employee, Lisa, was there and gave us the towels. We were then able to finish drying our dogs and I paid for the service. After we paid, Chris immediately started turning off the lights, and it wasn't even 7 PM yet. I'm extremely disappointed with how we were treated. If arriving 25 minutes before closing was an issue, they could have simply told us, "Sorry, it's too late for today. Please come back tomorrow." We would have completely understood and left. But that's not what happened. We were specifically told that it was okay as long as we were finished by 7 PM. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be coming back. read more

I have always been happy going here. Ive had my dog groomed and been buying food and supplies here. I brought in a valid coupon from Champion pet foods for a free bag of Orijen kibble. It says redeem for one free bag of Orijen dog kibble from any selected size 20 to 25 pounds and then on the back it says that the retailer will be reimbursed for the face value of the coupon +8 cents handling. All they had to do was send THE coupon to Champion PET foods and they would receive the reimbursement. They refuse to take the coupon because they say I didn't purchase the original bag from them for "exchange". I'm confused. It's a coupon. I think it's ridiculous that they won't take a coupon. It is a valid coupon for a free bag of food and they will get fully reimbursed for it. read more

I love this pet store, they have a great selection of good brands and better food for your pets. I have never utilize their grooming services but I can tell it's always busy. My only complaint, which was past due to comment about it, is their customer service. When I buy 3 large bags of dog food, I mean, how can you carry all them together. A hand will be appreciated unless..... YOU HAVE A COUPLE OF SHOPPING CARTS WE CAN USE to bring the bags into our cars!!!! I think that will give a solution to the couple of guys at the counter asking if "you need help". I said "sure, if you can" but I never saw him moving. I ended up taking two trips to the parking lot to put the bags into my car. The shopping carts will solve the problem of being asked if help is needed when obviously! read more

I was in the area after picking up my dog from his grandma's house (lol)- He needed bath so decided to go here to utilize their self serve wash. I didn't fancy the bath area of this establishment. Tub wasn't rinsed out, hair all over the room. Not enough towels. Shampoo/deodorizer was a container full of what seemed like watered down solution. Tub was huge (great for big dogs) but not set up well for small dogs, even with the riser. Just a big mess- I disliked it and my dog did too lol. Just different from others I've been to around town. Price wasn't bad- $11.99 for 18lb dog. read more

I bring my dog in for the self wash private rooms because she barks at other dogs. That's really all you're paying for is a nice tub in a private room. But. They use towels that are stained and dirty. So bring your own The shampoo and conditioner is not strong so bring your own. They have a mat to lay down on the tub so it's softer for your dog. But after the wash, residual soapy water and hair lie underneath this math and when you go to use the velocity dryer in your dog, that dirty water gets shot up to your pet. So I take the mat out rinse off the tub to clear soap and hair, and use the towel to dry my dog and lay on the CLEAN tub for my CLEAN dog. This way when you're using the strong velocity dryer, everything can get dry without getting re- wet from water sitting underneath the mat. A employee tells me I can not have the towel under my dog. When the sign says do not put towels on the ground/floor. Apparently laying a towel down in the clean tub where I just scrubbed my dogs feet CLEAN, is going to STAIN the towels that THEY STILL KEEP FOR USE!!???! I get if you're going to have that rule but at least have towels that are not stained for use I didn't even WANT to use it on my dog. read more

We recently got a new addition to our family; and this was his first haircut. This was our first visit here and were super nervous. After reading the reviews I had mixed feelings about coming in, however having open communication with our groomer Rebecca our worries were immediately put at ease. A lot of dissatisfaction can be avoided with clear communication. When we were called back to pick our pup up we were brought to tears on how amazing he looked. Rebecca was amazing, kind, and patient! She was truly a gem! She was so loving and had to even give him extra baths due to him being so nervous and peeing on himself. Thank you so much Rebecca! read more

Our doggies come out looking so good! Every single time and they are a handful so it's great to see that they can handle our little ones!

Used to go here every-time for their self wash. They recently hired multiple employees that makes our visits much less enjoyable than they used to be. Not sure why I received such attitude and negative energy whenever I come in now. We kept coming back because of how well the soft spoken male employee treated us and our dogs so nicely. We will no longer come back because of how we have been treated the last few visits. It is a shame that a place that I was so happy to have a part of my community has gone down hill because of a mean new employees. I couldn't imagine leaving my dog with them without me supervising. read more

I was surprised to find the Stephanie location closed on Yelp! So thanks for the posted update about that location! I love the self-grooming rooms at Bogart. To be able to go into a private room with a huge tub and your big dog is less stressful for me and for her! She can't hear a lot of dogs barking all over the place, and it reduces her anxiety. Bogart's supply shampoo and conditioner, a couple of towels a grooming brush, and a professional blow dryer system. I usually pack my own grooming tools and a medicated shampoo for my dog. I appreciate the vinyl apron they give you, which helps keep all of the water from soaking your clothes. I have a lab that loves to play in the pool, but hates to take a bath, go figure! I was able to coax her into the tub and then there is a harness that connects to the front wall so that you put it around the dog's neck and they can't run away. The hose has warm water in it and good pressure, and the drain collects a lot of hair. Took me a total of 25 minutes tops to groom my dog. This is the only place I have found where I like bathing my dog. There are toys, cookies, & treats galore in this store! You have to pick up something for good a good dog at bath time! The staff are friendly and full of smiles. If you want to self-groom your dig, this is the place I would highly recommend! read more

I had an appointment for my dog to get groomed. He's been there several times and always comes with some anti-anxiety medication in his system. Today when I dropped him off they said they can't groom him because he is on medication. In the past his groomer encouraged medication so she could do a better job with him. Today they told me they no longer allow dogs to get groomed while on anxiety meds. What? And why wasn't this told to me when I made the appointment a few weeks ago or when I talked to them yesterday to confirm the appointment? I'm super disappointed but I also want people to know that you can no longer give your dogs anti-anxiety meds if they are getting groomed at Bone Appetit. read more

I've been coming here for grooming for the last few times and after this last grooming I will definitely not be back. I had my appt and I asked the lady to see if she can trim his upper area underneath cuz my dog will sometime pee on himself. I get my dog back after the grooming and so messed up his corgi butt literally just took the clippers and shaved a line from the butt down. And then i look underneath and she just shaved him to almost the skin all the way up. My dog is a corgi so he normally just gets the usual trim on the butt and underneath and this was pretty bad, and then she never even shaved the bottom of my dogs pads, they are all still overgrown. I definitely won't be back. Time to find a new place. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! THEY LIE THEY LIE !!! Its unfortunate I have to give this place a star. They "offer"..lol a buy 12 get the 13th bag free. Basically spend $1,000 on cat food here and we will give you a free bag. . My last 4 trips were as follows: 4 times ago - I asked where I was on the free bag. They said "this is bag 11 so you have to buy 1 more bag..ya it's buy 12 and the 13th is free." 3 trips ago - I was excited because I was going to just grab 2 bags this time; I was going to buy the 12th bag and collect my 13th free bag as well. They only had 1 bag, I mentioned I was slightly disappointed. I was told "well hey, next time it's free, we'll you need to pay tax but otherwise it's free." 2 trips ago - I sent a friend because I wasn't feeling well. In case they wouldn't allow him to collect my free bag I gave my friend $100 to buy one, as my cats needed food. He comes back and tells me he had to look in his phone for my # so they realized it was not me and told him I needed to come in for my free bag. They acknowledge the free bag but insist I be there. ** everything is OK up until now, I only explain the history of my trips so readers can understand how: AT THIS POINT IM 100% CERTAIN MY NEXT BAG IS FREE; NOT ONE DOUBT. IF I HAD THE CHANCE TO BET I WOULD WAGER EVERY PENNY I HAD, SELL THE HOUSE PUT IT ALL ON THE BET..IM 100% CERTAIN MY NECT BAG IS FREE. finally my most recent trip - by now you know where I'm going with this. I grabbed my bag, walked it to the counter with a smile, and stated "finally it's the day, it's finally my free bag!" The guy behind the counter seemed irritated I was happy to finally receive my free bag. He asked my #, typed it in, and slapped his hand on the bag I had just placed on the counter; "NOPE THIS IS 12 YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THIS ONE AND YOUR NEXT ONE IS FREE!" HE WAS ACTUALLY HAPPY AS A PIG IN SH×T TELLING ME THIS! I tried to explain how and why I'm 100% certain this is free #13. They did not console or even try to make me feel comfortable coming back, but due to lack of options, I went back and I spoke with the groomer myself explained to them the last time told them to please be very cautious only to pick him up today and find a cut on his foot that he now has wrapped. Completely unhelpful customer service. Purchased some Dr. Marty's product that gave my dog diarrhea. I unfortunately bought two bags and tried to return the unopened bag. The guy at the counter refused to take it back even though you could see the POS in the system. He said they have a 14 day return policy. When I explained it took a month for me to figure out what was causing the diarrhea, he just looked at me with a blank stare completely in equipped to think about how to help. I told him I'm not interested in getting money back, I would gladly accept a credit or exchange. Again, sorry can't help you. I simply smiled and said thanks for heads up....I knew there was a reason I also shop at Dog Supplies outlet and he just reminded me why. With so much competition in the market for dogs supplies, I'm always happy when a store reminds me that I have choices about doing business with them. Lost customer for good. Thank you for your response and reminding everyone how much you value customer feedback and only further proving my point to shop elsewhere. I didn't bring in my receipt because you can look up the transaction in the system. Your response is entirely unhelpful and only solidifies my choice and that of the public to shop elsewhere than to spend money with a merchant that treats customers like this. Again. I can't recommend enough shopping for all your pet supplies needs at Dog Supplies Outlet off of Sahara and Durango. read more

Hello Rachel, After reading your updated review I do want to clarify that under absolutely no circumstances have I ever brought Euro in under false pretenses. If your employees made a mistake, that's one thing but please have some decency. Over 5 years I've said I didn't like maybe 4 groomers? I do not think that constitutes to me disliking the service every single time. To state that I am "always"unsatisfied would also be false. I have also preferred groomers on my file that you guys can't keep because of the poor work environment. I kept bringing Euro back because he is a hyperactive dog and he likes a schedule and familiarity. I am 100% allowed to drop my dog off at home and as you can see I did discover the point of injury. This is the one time something of this level of negligence happened and I am still upset with the lack of care given to the situation. For you to try to say I tried to call under a different name is insane because you would still have to call the same number I've had for 5 years for me to pick him up. Do yourself a favor, save your response. I hope everyone who considers doing business with Bogarts sees the lack of accountability in your response. read more

I have a Toy Aussie/ Sheltie mix. I specifically said, DO NOT SHAVE MY DOG. I was told 2 hrs. She said she understood it would take extra time. 2 hrs was not a problem. Her estimation, not mine. I was surprised when 45 min later, he was done. Then again, it doesn't take a lot of time to run a clipper over a 20 lb dog. Worse yet, he is uneven, with big lumps of fur where they didn't hold the razer properly. At pick-up, the groomer could barely contain the giggling. I was so angry I walked out without making a scene. I should have stayed there and yelled at all of them, mostly for thinking it funny to take a dog with 4-inch wavy fur and cut it down to less than an inch. I should have made a scene, but I didn't. I'm prompted to write this as so many in the area I walk him at are sharing their horrors with me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! read more

I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to. Very disappointed with Bogart's. Been pretty loyal for years now. I purchased a few flavors of canned dog food this past Thursday (I usually purchase 2-3 cans of a few flavors at a time totaling to 6-12 cans), my dog didn't like a new one got so today (Saturday) I tried to make an exchange of 1 unopened can of the one he didn't like since I already opened the other; for one of similar price. When I purchased my products I was asked if I wanted a receipt, I declined because I didn't want to waste paper knowing the purchase was going to be on my account. When I attempted to make the exchange the employee pointed to a sign that says that you need a receipt for all returns/exchanges...the sign is where you put your products on during checkout. So 1, it's hard to read that when there's product on top of it (plus customersare usually eyeing other smaller items they can purchase around checkout). And 2, the cashier should be educating your customers who say they don't want a receipt that they can't return or exchange anything without one. So that seemed a bit predatory on the location of the signage and not informing your customer of the policy. Better yet don't ask and just print one for everyone. I've only ever returned 1 (one) item to this store a few years back and I forgot to bring my receipt at that time but they had my purchase on my account and they honored it which is why I thought it would be okay to decline the receipt. I asked the employee today about the purchase being on my account and he did confirm it being on there but that they would still need a receipt. So if you're a long time customer of this local pet store just know you will need a receipt even though your purchase is on your account. So get that thermal paper rolling. read more

9:21 5Gc Doreen Hartwell Starr Hills * 2d * ® Southern Highlands' Bogart's Bone Appetite has the WORST customer service! I've been buying Taste of the Wild dry dog food from there for over seven years. I always get the largest size bag that lasts for about 2 months. When I went to refill the dog food bin, the food was moldy. I've never had that issue before. When I went to the store to inform them of the issue I had to return three times before I was able to speak with the Manager Liz. Liz is beyond rude! The first thing she says is if it's been more than 10 days there are no refunds and no exceptions. I told her that I did not notice the mold until I was halfway through the 28 lb bag of food which is long after 10 days. She told me that I should have checked for mold when the bag was first opened and that there's no way for the store to know if the mold was caused by the way that food was stored. I told her that the half of bag of food was stored in its original bag with a clip closing it which is the way that I've been storing the food for years. I also told her that I didn't expect a full refund for the $64 bag of food. I asked if other customers reported a mold issue with this brand. She said that I was the only one reporting an issue and that I should call the manufacturer if I want a refund. Then she says next time buy a smaller bag. What she should have done was offer a "smaller bag" to replace the moldy food. Liz and her employees can use some customer service training. Based on the comments to my post on NextDoor, poor customer service is at this location is not uncommon. read more

There's even a groomer inside and self-service dog wash if you want, which is pretty cool. We roamed around for about 10-15 minutes and had a staff member ask if we needed help with anything but we just wanted to peruse. We eventually founds some dog treats we thought our doggie might like and then a bone. They definitely have a lot of things to select from, even wet dog and cat food in the very back in a fridge. First I would like to start by saying we come here often to get treats and toys for our dogs. I would also like to mention I have been in customer service for most of my life. This evening we came in to get treats and because we are familiar, we asked for three of one certain treat and asked for the thicker ones that were three up in a row, the cashier proceeds to tell us he doesn't have to address request like that for those certain treats and gave us three in a different direction, I am mentioning this because it's not like we were asking for anything too "crazy" and if we were, we are customers and are paying for high priced treats and service. I have noticed this disregard for knowing how to be in customer service in many places throughout recent years and truly hope management and owners can start addressing this so people paying high prices to be treated correctly and get what they are asking for can have better experiences. read more

We tried to take our puppy here multiple times for grooming. He is double coated. The first time we got him back he was so clean, so dry, and no flyaway hair. That was the only good experience. After that it was so inconsistent. We would get him back and there was flyaway hair all over the place. He was still wet. And we could never keep the same groomer because everyone keeps leaving. We got a call 2 days ago that he apparently had an appointment we never made. My husband expressed the above sentiment and they asked us to give them one last shot. That they would really put in the effort. So we did. We gave them one last shot. Puppy came home with flyaways galore. It's all over our clothes and couch worse than before we took him there. This was the last time and it honestly so disappointing. Not sure what the deal is but if they kept groomers long term maybe it would be different. read more

Scheduled my appointment a week prior. Over the phone, she scheduled me for 8am, we showed up at 7:45am to find out they open at 9am on Sundays. They even called me the day before to confirm my 8am appointment. It was an inconvenience but luckily we had plans to stay on this side of town so we weren't upset that we had to drive back in an hour. Morgan up front was very friendly and pleasant to talk to on the phone and in person. He kindly apologized for the inconvenience for the mixup with scheduling. The groomers in the back unfortunately have no personality at all. Didn't feel the welcoming feeling when we handed our babies over to her for the first time. If we had more time to find a different business that could take them in on the same day, we would have cancelled the appointment. At pick up, it was the same. It was a different person who handed them over to me. She didn't smile or say a word to me, didn't even thank me for her tip. She just handed them over to me and walked away. When I go to places that offer services, whether it's for me, my family or my pets, I look for the friendly welcoming attitude because that's what matters the most to me. The prices could be affordable or expensive, and the location of the service could be on the other side of town or 5 mins away from me, it doesn't matter. What makes me a loyal customer and makes me come back is when the customer service is friendly and inviting. For me, that's what makes me want to come back as a regular customer! If others love it here and have a good experience that's great! But I am merely speaking from my experience, and mind you , it was my first time here. Again no complaints on the front desk interaction with Morgan, the location or ambiance of the store, just the customer service of the actual groomers. Service seemed good. I can't complain because my babies smelled and looked good. I obviously can't speak on how they were treated but I wish dogs could talk so I could ask. They were definitely pulling me to get the F outta there. So I will assume my dogs don't ever want to go back here. read more
