Would leave a zero star if I could, My condo company hired this company I did not know about this so when i came outside to my tree missing i went to the crew asked who was in charge they ask pointed to the same guy. I asked him why he cut my tree that it wasn't dead he immediately because agressive and rude. Saying are you a certified arborist lie 3 times . I said that's not what i asked and that' doesn't matter. He then turned to me and told me to fuck off i was in utter shock an employee spoke to me this way for asking a question. I had to come outside a few minutes after this incident and the entire crew was staring me down making me feel extremely uncomfortable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Showed up a few hours later than stated, opened a gate in the back yard and let my dog run out. Got into a shouting match with the crew chief both sides swearing..... Called the office and left 2 messages. No one called back, tried to get extra work done, sales guy showed up. Asked them to stop working on a tree, they refused. Almost called the Police. Left a very messy yard, broke a ceramic yard angel and were very unprofessional. Damaged my driveway. My family had a $10,000 job with them scheduled that we cancelled. Bogan is fair in pricing, and they are definitely professional and run their business very efficiently. Last week they quickly removed a fallen tree on a back yard shed that once done to their satisfaction and left. branches that were broken still on the damaged tree should have been removed with a new fresh cut, now it will weaken and fall again. They claim they are ARBORISTS BUT THATS NOT MAKING THE TREE SAFER OR HEALTHIER! Unfortunately I though they would have done a better job yet It could mean they were in a hurry to make more money from others. I guess time is money and they did remove the tree but not in a way to prevent more damage in the future. read more

My mother hired these people to trim her tree. The branches were growing long and beginning to reach the house. She explained in detail exactly what she wanted to the man who came to give her a price (eg: trimming not removal). They showed up when she was not home & proceeded to strip ALL of the branches (back to the trunk) on the side of the tree facing her house and were unapologetic when she tearfully reaches out to them afterwards. Bogan removed a very large tree limb that had fallen on our house and trimmed a couple more large tree limbs in back for a price that was less than half that of another quote we received. They left our yard clean of debris and even straightened out the gutter that has been dented. We're very pleased. The only issue with them is that they are obviously in very high demand so it's not easy to make it into their schedule. But we're glad that we did. read more

Bogan and his team were fantastic. He was more than responsive. meeting the demand of an accelerated schedule due to unforeseen construction events, with ease, and to perfection. They removed a diseased tree that was extremely close to the power lines, with seemingly little effort. I know what would have happened had I attempted to have done it myself. Beyond that, they removed the stump and another old stump in the yard very quickly. Pleasant, prompt, efficient and affordable are appropriate descriptions of the services this company provides. My husband and I have used Bogan's services multiple times over the past 3 years since we purchased our home in Quincy. Mark was a pleasure to work with early on and accommodated our needs time and time again due to tree issues we were having. We've probably had his team remove 4 trees off our property since 2015. Every crew was great and efficient. Over the summer we had issues with they quoting a certain tree I explained the location as the tree in the back left corner of the yard on 3 different occasions. Jim I believe came out and first quotes the wrong tree, second came back and gave the run around and said "if I give you a quote by hand for the removal it'll be sticker shock" so never EVEN gave me a number so I had to call back. He finally came back a 3rd time and gave us a quote - 2 months later. Well during the recent storm and winds a huge branch on the very tree broke off into our neighbors yard and almost into his pool. Contacted Bogan right away and Michelle was extremely unaccommodating and rude to me and my husband basically saying "we're brooking out through end of the year." Ummmm we aren't asking to remove the full oak ASAP we're asking you to pick up this branch to appease our neighbor as soon as you are available as it's probably 20ft tall and we can't ourselves. Nope such an attitude and didn't care that we've given them repeat business over the years nor would she let me speak with Mark directly. Shame on her because we will not be returning and she ruined their reputation with us in a matter of minutes. To top things off, an email was sent from Marks email address that was so scripted and used two different fronts and basically said nothing to correct the situation or truly apologize - just said "we've been servicing our customers for 23 years..." okay what the hell does that mean in this situation? Absolutely nothing. You have just ruined our relationship and it's a shame because there is so much work we'd like to do on our property and Mark knows that. Obviously this business is going down because Mark doesn't seemed to be involved anymore and the rest of the team doesn't care to deliver quality customer service. read more

First off, they showed up an hour and a half later than the end of the time window they gave us, without the courtesy of a call saying they were running late. They did wind up doing the job, but they left a mess all over our roof and on our back deck. They didn't clean up most of the debris/wood chips left all over the place aside from a very small area in the front of the house (where they threw branches/chunks of limbs that hit our house). It's hard to find a decent tree service, but having worked as a contractor I was always taught to leave a job site cleaner than I found it. They definitely don't work that way. read more

Highly recommend! Very prompt in getting in touch with me. Mark came out and gave me an estimate and scheduled a time a few weeks out to get the work done. His crew came on time and did a great job, left my property and my neighbor's property spotless. I had some trees growing into my house, had a tree leaning over my detached garage, another tree that was blocking all the sun, and I wanted to clear out some vegetation growing into my lawn to make a little more room for a garden. Came in with a truck, laid down boards to not destroy any grass, used a crane, mulched the trees, cleared the trees and now it's great. Didn't get rid of all the shade and left plenty of room for sun, perfect balance. Only thing is the soil was too wet for the "bobcat" to grind and till the soil... They tried but it sank in the soil/mud. After the job was done, Mark, came himself and checked out the work. He asked for my feedback. Bogan Tree Service took down two trees for us and ground down three stumps. They showed up EARLY and were super fast. The guys cleaned up after each stage (cutting down the trees and then after grinding) and did their best to even out the earth where the stumps had been. When Mark Bogan came out to give us a quote, he was right on time and gave me a quote on site. The price was the best one around! We set up the appointment the following day and the trees were down 3 business days later! I would recommend them without hesitation! I just want to say Bogan Tree Service is very professional, friendly and caring from the office staff when you call to request an appraisal, the arborist Jim who is down to earth, is an expert and listens to what your concerns are, to Crew 3 who are professional, fast, friendly, efficient and have been taught the right way about making sure the customer is happy and willing to make sure the job is done right. All the employees that I have dealt with have been amazing. If you call them they will return your call. If you have a question or need an accommodation with having work done they are flexible. If they say they will be there on a a specific date and time they will be-weather permitting. After they performed my tree pruning you could not tell that I had any work done. They cleaned up the yard and removed all the limbs. They made the tree they pruned look like a new tree and beautiful for years to come. After a tree branch fell on my car during hurricane Irene (August 2011) I decided to get some tree service. My neighbor recommended Bogan. I called them and they came, did an estimate, and then couldn't do the work until January 2012. Luckily there were no more gigantic storms between August-January. Unfortunately, I didn't stay home from work the day they came. 5 trucks showed up to trim and inspect 2 maple trees. They were fast, efficient, tidy--all the good things you want from a tree company. But the bad stuff was there too. We had a bush at the side of the driveway that was ripped out and then placed gently back to look like it was not ripped out. The gig was up when my brother was putting the trash out and thought the bush looked funny, so he touched it and found it not attached to the ground. But that was ok, because we hated that bush. Another bad thing was that there was one tree that had lost a limb a long time ago and had left a kind of well that held water. I thought Bogan was going to cut it to get rid of the well, but it's still there, collecting water and growing moss. Again, I thought that it wasn't worth calling them over to come all the way back to do, so my bad. But the worst thing was that the reason I called them in the first place--the tree that dropped a branch on my car just dropped another (way bigger) branch on my new car last night. I was assured that this tree was safe to park under. Then the wind blew last night (10/22/14) and wham--no more rear windshield (etc.). I really feel cheated. I understand that the tree work was done 2 1/2 years ago. I know that the tree could have started rotting after Bogan performed their tree service. I know that it is risky to park in a driveway next to a tree. But the only reason I am writing this is, although I know all of these things and that there are no real guarantees, I was assured it would be safe to park where I parked. I was promptly contacted by Michelle, who was pleasant to work with, and always followed through on what she promised. The pricing was fair, and the scheduling was as quick as could be expected for the time of year (early summer.) The original date for work was pushed back a couple times because of extreme heat (totally understandable.) We are neighbors of someone who had this company remove some trees. They used our driveway to access some of the trees which was fine with us. They damaged a row of hostas of ours, left our yard full of debris from the tree removal...sticks, pine needles, saw dust etc. When my husband called to complain, they did not respond. In saying something to my neighbor he said he knew of the complaint, they were friends of his and they thought it was funny and if we called again they would do something but otherwise were ignoring our call.
