The pics look nothing like what you get... and I don't mean that in a good way. You don't even get chips or salsa. There was a daily special on the wall and had quesabirria tacos, no price but since it was on the specials, you'd think It'd be cheaper than menu price. Nope. $16.99 for 3 tacos and no sides. I had to order rice for $3.50 and unfortunately it came out cold. The flavor was good but the rice was cold. My husband got a wet burrito. It was thin, dry meat and felt like it wasn't fresh. Like the meat was cooked earlier and microwaved. No sides either for $7.99, we shared the cold rice. The sauces they put on the table saved our food and gave it much needed flavor. It was our first and last time here. They don't even have fountain soda. It's cans and bottled water. We got water. I think they over spent on decor and it made the quality of food suffer... unfortunately we won't be back. read more

Love this place!! This is not Tex-mex -- it's flat-out Mex. Simple and delicious authentic Mexican fare. I had the street tacos -- authentic, corn tacos (not flour) served the Mexican way w onion and cilantro. They (carnitas, Al pastor, chorizo) were perfect. Their homemade hot sauces were delicious too. I ordered some agua fresca, and both were really tasty (horchata and hibiscus). The staff was terrific. I felt like I was eating at an aunt's house -- the women were enjoying how much I was enjoying the food. You could tell how much pride and love they take in their food. Great tacos, rice and beans. We tried carnitas, shrimp, al pastor, carne asada. Al pastor comes with a long slice of pineapple. Chips were a little heavy, but the guacamole is good. Water is only available for purchase. Service was nice and fast, and we would be happy to visit again! read more

Visited Boga today with two coworkers. Amazing restaurant. I personally love supporting small local businesses, and this restaurant totally lived up to the hype. The service was amazing and atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Saul (whose mom is the owner!) waited on us, and he was attentive and friendly throughout the course of our meal. All of their food is delicious, but the shrimp tacos, chorizo tacos, and cow tongue tacos were al superb, and apparently favorites among both staff and customers. I am from California and have been searching for decent Mexican food in the Pittsburgh area. I found it here! It is a taqueria, so not a full menu of Mexican food. They have mostly tacos and burritos, but my carnitas platter was delicious! They even got the rice and beans right, which so many places don't. My only complaint was my horchata, which tasted like it came from a mix-- not homemade. It was pretty bland. Also, I wish they had tortas (Mexican sandwich) and a Oaxacan mole', but taquerias usually don't have either. Otherwise, it was great, service was friendly and quick, and we'll be back. read more

So, I did fat boy things. I had the chips and queso, chicken quesadilla, 2 steak tacos, and a side of refried beans and sides of sour cream. Queso was very sooooupy. Refried beans were good. Chicken quesadilla was very good! Steak tacos, I didn't want the onions or cilantro on them... so it was literally JUST STEAK on the corn tortilla taco shells, I wish it had cheese on it. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, I prefer flour and the steak tasted very much like tongue/lengua meat (which I'm not a fan of). Menu price was wrong for the side of sour cream, menus say $1... rings up for $2 each side. Service was good, prices were reasonable. They didn't have Tres Leches cake and I was hoping that they did, but they did have Flan and those Mexican specialty drinks (the one that looks like milk, but tastes like cinnamon and 2 others that tasted like cucumber juice). read more
