Went there for a lunch date with my wife. It was a quiet place with plenty of parking around the restaurant. The decor inside was simple and yet elegant and very representative of the Mexican culture and style. Ordered the vegetarian plate with chilli relleno, chalupa and enchilada and a shrimp quesadilla. Perfect portion for both of us. Yes, our plates were clean when we finished. The service staff was very very courteous and paid attention to every detail, like no ice in our waters, beer in the bottle with no glasses and extra spoons. Only what we missed was tofu for the vegetarian plate. No big deal, but would be nice to substitute some of the cheese with tofu. We will be back!

With family in Morgantown, WV, we are always looking for spots between there and Pittsburgh to meet up for dinners. Several members of the family frequently request this spot right off of I-79 in Washington, PA. It's is a very unassuming, no-frills place with a big menu. My sister-in-law loves the tacos al pastor and says nowhere does them better. My mom loves their battered, crunchy french fries. I love that, like many Mexican places, there are a good number of vegetarian options for me. If you order a drink it is very generously sized, the chips and salsa are also generous and seemingly never ending, unlike many places where these come at an upcharge. Service is super fast and helpful and prices are fair. It's nothing especially fancy but they're doing a lot right here. It all keeps my family coming back and, as they are consistently doing a pretty solid business, we are clearly not alone.

I stopped here for lunch with a coworker on a random weekday around 1:00 PM. I ordered the lunch special of chicken chimichanga with a side of rice. I enjoyed the meal and would not object to coming back again for lunch in the future. The chimichanga itself was delightfully crispy. It did have a dark sauce drizzled on top which carried a unique but still pleasant flavor. The chicken inside was moist and flavorful. On the side, the rice was pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant. Nothing special, but not lacking in any way either. At the time we were there (1:00 PM on a weekday) the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated right away and our server was prompt and attentive. I enjoyed the chips which came with 2 choices of salsa, a mild and a spicier version. The restaurant is well decorated and seemed mostly clean. It is perhaps a bit dated, but everything seemed appropriate. They were playing Spanish language music on the overhead. Overall, this is not a bad casual Mexican restaurant. I believe they have some other locations in the area, but I would definitely come back here again in the future.

Walked across the parking lot for dinner from the hotel. Seated right away and served the typical chips and salsa. As stated by others, traditional Mexican decor and menu options and service. Reasonably priced menu options and combinations. Ordered a combination plate with taco, enchilada and chalupa. Also had a medium margarita, which was more like an extra large 'Rita and turned out to cost more than my entree! Fried ice cream was a tasty end to the meal.

Old Mexico is the best. Authentic, cheap Mexican food with the nicest staff. Portions are big, food comes quick and is always good. No frills, but none are needed! If you want good mexican in the Washington area, Old Mexico is the place for you

I did take away guacamole salad and churros . I got maybe a teaspoon of guac which tasted like garbage and the churros don't even get me started they were terrible. I got two stale ones no whipped cream sad part is they were what I was looking forward to the most. waste of money 100 percent

I'm passing through this area and stayed overnight at the Hampton Inn next door to Old Mexico. Had dinner there (Friday night), and it was great. Really, really great. I had no expectations, but everything was fantastic -- the house salsa, the salsa verde, my tacos al pastore (plus my Modelo EspeciaI in a giant chilled mug). I couldn't have been happier. Service was also great. And for those like me who aren't from the area, this place is 1 minute from I-70. Super easy to jump off/on if you're headed somewhere else. Hoping I get to try Old Mexico again.

Good food but appearance and restroom cleanliness is horrible. Men's bathroom smelled bad and the floor mats are dirty when you walk in.

We asked if each taco was $3 and she said no, that an order came with 3. So we got two orders. And somehow the price was $21!? For 6 tacos!? They were the mini ones with just meat. No cheese, nothing fancy. We got a burrito, for $9! My SO said it was delicious but it was definitely not Worth $9 for just a burrito. I don't know if this is just how food trucks are? And the food was delicious! Which makes me sad that we would be taken advantage of when the food is actually good. But why go back to a place where I got over charged and lied to?? I wanted to say something but my SO didn't want to make a scene. For a a quesadilla it was $9 too. Delicious but damn expensive. $50 was our total and I thought it was crazy high. And the combo of 3 tacos and the "soup" was $11. The soup was more of a broth to dip your tacos in. I don't know if I will go back. She was super nice to all the customers after us but seemed annoyed with us. I included a pic of the bill.

We were told it was going to be ready in 15/20 mins and as soon as we pulled up it was being bagged We got their alligator fritters, beef empanadas, gator tacos and an oreo cream funnel cake. Y'all everything was so good. My fiancée absolutely loved his gator fritters and devoured them. The beef empanadas were filled with beef, corn and cheese. They were so good and loved the seasoning on the empanada. The gator tacos were the perfect size, the gator had a nice crunch and the slaw added another level to the taco. The funnel cake hit the spot. Cannot wait to check out their new location when it opens and both of us agreed that we will be back.

Street parking available. This is more of a takeout place but there are tables inside. Now for the food! My coworker and I had chicken tacos, the gator po boy, and the chicken and funnel cake. The chicken tacos were on special for taco tuesday so they were $2 each which was a great price. They were filled with chicken and toppings but the meat was a little dry, and I think a sauce, like a chipotle mayo or something, could really make these pop! These were our least favorite part of lunch, but they were still good, I really liked the salsa. I used to work at a southern restaurant that served gator sandwiches, so I was super happy to see alligator on the menu! The gator po boy was delicious! It came with a spicy mayo. The gator bites were seasoned well and the bun was super soft and fresh. I wasn't crazy about the chips that came with it though. The chicken and funnel cake was the standout- think chicken and waffles but better! The chicken was awesome and the funnel cake was super sweet! I wish it came with like a spicy syrup or something. Nonetheless, everything was delicious and I will definitely be back, this is an awesome addition to downtown Washington!!!
