We finally ordered food here for the first time. I was excited to try the food. I got a burrito and my son got quesadilla. Wife got tacos. Unfortunately the burrito wasn't good, too salty. My sons quesadilla didn't have any taste to it. Wife loved the tacos. Maybe I got the wrong thing. I love burritos. I will try something else next time. I gave it 4 stars, guy was nice and food was ready quickly. I will review again, once I have the opportunity to try again.

Love this hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly surprised by how fantastic it was. The menu had lots of tasty selections to choose from. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with rice and my boyfriend ordered the tacos. We also had the chips and salsa which was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend just recently moved here from California and has been on a mission to find good tacos. He finally met his match at Mexi Taco! Our food was so fresh and delicious we can't wait to go back. Also I want to mention that we did arrive pretty close to closing time and we still received the best service.

I wish I would have visited this place in my hometown sooner! First of all, the place is small. The staff and owners are very respectful and kind. The restaurant is super clean. Their prices are great, and you get a nice sized amount of food for what you pay. The food Oh the food is phenomenal! I started with the chips and salsa. The chips were warm and tasty. And this is probably the best salsa I've had in a Mexican restaurant. They don't overkill it with cilantro, like some do. Then I ordered a taco supreme. Just a regular beef one. That beef was seasoned to perfection and the taco melts in your mouth. You don't even need to add anything to the basic beef, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Then I had a taco salad. Again, they season their food to perfection. It's not overly spicy. And they spices they use accentuate the ingredients. The refried beans even had a great flavor! Now, if you want legit, authentic Mexican food. Go to MexiTaco. I guarantee you'll be back!

Another stop into Mexi Taco in Charleroi, we order take out here often. It's a small place family owned and operated the food is good and pricing is good also. I've seen the menu go from 4-15 items. It worth the stop.

Walked in at 12:00 pm on a cold February day. I was the only table but within minutes the place filled up. Fresh food, kind people.

Service was slow, all of our dishes were served warm at best (mine was cold), only exception being the fajitas which were served steaming hot. I had enchiladas plus a taco. Not very flavorful and skimpy on the fillings. A lot of tortilla and sauce but very little meat. My wife had the chili rellenos and while deep fried on the outside the cheese inside wasn't melted. One friend had the dish that they serve flaming (can't recall its name and I didn't get a pic) and it was meh. The fish tacos also not a highlight. The steak fajitas were said to be pretty good. Also note, chips and salsa are not complimentary, they charge $3.50 for soda water and have a sign at the entrance notifying a 5% discount if paying cash (i.e. a 5% credit card fee). I'm not sure if this was just an off night for them or not but there are a few Mexican spots in the area that are consistently good (Plaza Azteca in White Oak and El Campesino in Monroeville). I likely won't try Madero again.

It is bright, cheerful and very clean. The menu has the typical Mexican restaurant options like tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas and burritos and the also have a kids menu. I love their chorizo con huevo because not a lot of places have that kind of dish on their menu. It is chorizo (theirs has a great deal of flavor and isn't greasy like chorizo sometimes can be), onions, peppers and eggs. They serve it with tortillas and rice. Lots of food and packed with flavor. I have also tasted the enciladas and my husband loved the cowboy burrito. For drinks, especially during the summer they have awesome daily specials. I've tried the watermelon water and the cucumber lime. So very refreshing! Service is friendly and attentive and they are great about answering any questions that you might have about menu items. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here and then heading next door to the creamery for delicious ice cream.

There are openings inside the bar that connect to both restaurants, and the menu lets you order items from either spot, which makes it perfect if your group is craving different things! We started with the bao buns, which I've had before and they are always my go-to must order. Absolutely delicious every time! The dry ramen bowl was very good and came with a generous portion of chicken. They weren't able to add the fried egg and substituted a boiled egg instead, which was a little surprising and not what I had preferred for this dish, but the dish was still flavorful and good. The Texas burrito bowl was excellent -- fresh guacamole, steak, chicken and shrimp, and really great flavor throughout. Between the unique setup, the ability to order from two different restaurants, and the solid food, this is a fun spot that's definitely worth checking out!

Instead of seating me, the employee pointed at a menu and told me to order. I started giving her my order, but she walked away in the middle of it and had another guy take it on a handheld device. I paid right then and there, which seemed a little odd for a sit-down restaurant, but I didn't think much of it. My chimichanga came out in what had to be three minutes or less. It was so fast that I couldn't imagine it was freshly made. Unfortunately, it tasted just as disappointing as it looked. It was incredibly bland and had an almost chemical taste to it. I kept trying another bite, hoping it would get better, but it didn't. I finally gave up after just a few bites. The restaurant itself didn't help my appetite. The silverware looked dirty, the music was blasting, and the whole place just felt grimy. While I was eating, an older couple came in to order takeout. They were told they could only place an order online. The woman looked at me and said, "I guess we can't eat here then because I don't know how to do that." I ended up bringing the rest of my meal home, and my 16-year-old son ate it. Over night, he became terribly sick with severe gastrointestinal symptoms that we believe were food poisoning. He's never experienced anything like that before. I only ate a couple of bites myself, and looking back, I'm glad I stopped when I did. After all of this, I looked up the restaurant and saw that it had received a health inspection score of 80 not long ago. I've rarely seen a score that low, and after seeing the conditions inside and what happened afterward, it made me even more concerned. Needless to say, we won't be back. This was a really disappointing experience from start to finish, and I would encourage anyone thinking about eating here to do a little homework first.
