We ordered steak tacos and chicken tacos. Food was good however it wasn't the best . Tortillas are store bought and the lettuce was iceberg pre-shredded. Cheese is also pre-shredded . Won't be coming back . I can make better tacos at home . I was so disappointed . Only bcuz I saw two older Mexican lady's in the back and thought, damn this gonnna be amazing. If i could leave a 0 i would. This has to be some of the most overpriced bland Mexican food I've ever had. The portions for the togo are criminally small and bland. The birria consume is water with some cilantro floating around it. Spend a 100$ for the worst Mexican food I've ever had. read more

We finally ordered food here for the first time. I was excited to try the food. I got a burrito and my son got quesadilla. Wife got tacos. Unfortunately the burrito wasn't good, too salty. My sons quesadilla didn't have any taste to it. Wife loved the tacos. Maybe I got the wrong thing. I love burritos. I will try something else next time. Help has the wrong hours. But I got here before the correct hours of 11am-7pm and they were closed. Had tried to pre- order via their website but online ordering was down and their phone went to voicemail that was about them closing earlier the previous Friday but returning to normal hours. Hard to get good review if you can't go there when they are supposed to be open. read more

Love this hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place and were pleasantly surprised by how fantastic it was. The menu had lots of tasty selections to choose from. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with rice and my boyfriend ordered the tacos. We also had the chips and salsa which was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend just recently moved here from California and has been on a mission to find good tacos. He finally met his match at Mexi Taco! Our food was so fresh and delicious we can't wait to go back. Also I want to mention that we did arrive pretty close to closing time and we still received the best service. read more

I wish I would have visited this place in my hometown sooner! First of all, the place is small. The staff and owners are very respectful and kind. The restaurant is super clean. Their prices are great, and you get a nice sized amount of food for what you pay. The food Oh the food is phenomenal! I started with the chips and salsa. The chips were warm and tasty. And this is probably the best salsa I've had in a Mexican restaurant. They don't overkill it with cilantro, like some do. Then I ordered a taco supreme. Just a regular beef one. That beef was seasoned to perfection and the taco melts in your mouth. You don't even need to add anything to the basic beef, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Then I had a taco salad. Again, they season their food to perfection. It's not overly spicy. And they spices they use accentuate the ingredients. The refried beans even had a great flavor! To be honest I don't know where to start. We have lived in the area for years and have always been disappointed with the local Mexican food options. We are so sad that it took us so long to find Mexi Taco! The food is off the charts good, like as good if not better then food we have had in Mexico! The owners are so amazing, the food is always fresh (like you can tell they make everything to order), and the price is great! We order almost once a week! I ordered churros for a birthday party from them, and accidentally forgot to pick them up before they closed. They got back to my frantic message so quickly, and remade the order on a day they were closed, and didn't want to charge me for both orders. They were the best churros we have ever had, and were steaming hot when I picked them up. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it's all amazing!! Authentic Mexican food in Charleroi? Sí, se puede! (Yes, it's possible!) My business partner and I had lunch here in May 2017. He ordered a burrito and I sampled two tacos. Not only did we wind up ordering extra food, we got take away for later as well. There's nothing special in particular about the place, but that's what makes it great. Excellent food at reasonable prices. We like to tour the Mon Valley for lunch when we're together, but this place is easily going to be our go-to establishment. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem! I was traveling and found it by accident. I lived in Mexico for two years and this is the closest I have gotten to the authentic green enchilada sauce since leaving Mexico. The only regret I have is that I only ordered two enchiladas instead of three. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! Cannot believe they've been there for 3 years and it took me this long to stop. Ownership is very friendly. I highly recommend. My family went to experience the "authentic" Mexican food and were disappointed. My husband is from Mexico and I am from California and so we know good Mexican food and this isn't it. The meat had absolutely no seasoning, the salsas were bland and the employees had absolutely no interaction with guests other than one that I can only assume was her boyfriend. My husband could not finish his tacos because there was too much fat on the meat. It is overpriced for what you get. We were extremely disappointed! read more
