We visited this venue this past Saturday for lunch. My wife ordered number 7 lunch special and I ordered the grill chicken over rice with their cheese sauce. We both enjoyed our meals and the service was pleasant. My wife really liked her chicken salad and I loved the way they saturated the rice with their cheese sauce. Both portions were quite generous too. We will probably revisit when we are in that area and will explore other entries. read more

I ordered a to go order online. I went inside to pick up and the people were super nice. I requested some extra spicy salsa or hot sauce and they accommodated immediately. Now for the food. It looked so good I forgot to take pics. I ordered cheese enchiladas, bean burritos, a chalupa, and a tostada. I also made note to make everything spicy. Wow. It was amazing. There was also a ton of food. The guacamole was fresh and tasted great. The beans were fantastic and the cheese sauce is amazing. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I'm going to have to go and eat inside bc the place looks really nice on the incside. I will definitely be returning. read more

I lived in Southern California & Southern Arizona and been to Mexico many times. I'd never seen tacos with scallops offered. As soon as I saw them, I had to order them. Delicious! The service was very good. I was uphold on the margarita and it was good, so the larger size worked. There is a bar and the atmosphere is good. Service was decent and we both liked our food. I'm sure we'll return. read more

This is Mexican comfort food. They give generous portions of food that is sooo easy to eat. Despite how many times we've been here before, my wife and I remark at the flavors of the beef, the chicken, the cheese...as we're eating. Service is fast and friendly. Typically seems like 5 mins to get your meal after ordering...and beautifully plated. Fun music plays in a laid back atmosphere. We're always grateful to eat here; it's as good as any of the best in Texas, California, Colorado... read more

Met some friends for lunch here to celebrate a recent birthday. Our service was fantastic they really took good care of us throughout our time there. The restaurant itself was very clean and had the traditional Mexican decor. They provide chips and salsa to the table and it's really good. I started out with a traditional lime margarita that was also good. For my entree I went with the enchiladas suizas and they really hit the spot. The flavor was amazing! We told them we were celebrating a birthday so they brought us out some fried ice cream and it was fantastic. Loved the strawberry drizzle on top! I highly recommended this restaurant. read more

New favorite place that has Mojarra! Mojarra is fried whole fish and I have been search everywhere for this. The portions are decent and the skin is very crispy. The standard sides that come with it include grilled vegetables and rice along with a avocado onion side salad. Other items I order is the hard shell tacos and the enchiladas. Free chips and salsa plus they also carry the Mexican soda, Jarritos! I have been a fan lately and think they also provide good service as well. The fact they know what I want when I get there says a lot. Check them out if you are in the area! read more

One night in town and felt like Mexican. Our family of 4 adults walked into a full, loud, happy restaurant. We loved the vibe but my husband wasn't sure about the noise. We were directed to a quiet area that was perfect. It was in a separate room with all booths. The service was excellent, the food was delicious (the menu has so many choices) and the price was right. We ended up sharing two dishes and it was plenty. All our servers were pleasant and helpful. The food was hot and fast. We had chips and salsa immediately and are drinks were quick too. It was just a great overall experience. read more

The place is clean and smells good. They bring your food out nice and fast but... My issue is the plate was hot but the food wasn't. The rice was over cooked and mushy. Their ground beef tasted like they boiled the meat. It's wet with no flavor, no seasoning. $12.99 for mushy rice, yucky ground beef taco and two cold enchiladas. What is going on?? My bf got nachos and they weren't hot either and had the watered down ground beef. They updated their menu and I believe the prices went up but the quality didn't. There was like three guys standing around when one was working his ass off. Usually this place is good but I don't think we will be back... read more

Food and service was poor. It was close to closing time, to be fair, but my wife's stomach was upset that night after dinner.

Ordered take out and was not impressed. I got the chicken fajita tacos. The chicken was so tough and stringy. I could barely eat it. Maybe because it was take out. I won't rule them out completely, I'd try again for sit down dining. read more

Nice new restaurant near the Meadows and Tanger outlets in a little strip mall called Park Place. We received warm chips and salsa immediately. The chips were good but the salsa was did not have a whole lot of flavor, probably should have asked for spicer, as I recall from visiting another El Paso, they do have a spicier salsa if you ask. Decided to order tacos, so I had tacos with beef tenders and chorizo. The tacos were covered with cilantro and came with a salsa, some chopped tomato and peppers and some rice. The tacos came on a soft shell and were very tasty. Some of the beef tenders were a tad overcooked but overall enjoyed the tacos. The price was very reasonable. read more

The greater Washington area keeps getting better and better with Mexican food. While this "chain" has been around Pittsburgh for a while now, and even with a stint on Chestnut Street in WashPa, the new location is sure to be a hit. Their chicken tortilla soup rivals Los Chiludos as the best in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful (Gracias, mi amigo Guillermo!). The food comes out quickly (maybe too quickly!). And the taste is as good as any Mexican place in the greater-Pittsburgh area. The menu is diverse, so even picky eaters can find something they should like. I would recommend the fajitas or the Burrito Durango as a gateway to their cuisine. Expect to find me there often. read more

Food was great and perfect a quick lunch and possibly happy hour. Service was fast and friendly .

I ordered take out from El Paso Mexican grill yesterday, in all I got there shrimp Diablo, a shrimp quesadilla that came with rice and beans. A extra thing of rice, Two 24 ounce salsa with chips and one little cup of queso cheese. I 100% feel like they overcharged me. My total came to $80.14, The shrimp Diablo tasted like nothing but lime. It looks like somebody put a whole one in there, my kids quesadilla was not even cut and he did not eat it, the salsa was nothing but tomato, and it looks like they just puréed it. Everything was terrible. I called the restaurant and asked to talk to a manager. They said that one was not there at the moment so I asked when one would be in the guy told me he didn't know maybe 3 weeks. I told them about my food how I did not like it and how I felt like I was overcharged he tried going over the price with me and it still did not come to $80.14, finally, the guy told me that he would refund me my money and I could keep the food I went there. I did not want the food so I did take it back. I was not trying to get my food for free. The food absolutely sucked. The only reason I even went there was because old Mexico wasn't open I never go anywhere else and I will never ever go back to El Paso worst food ever ! read more

Not sure why only three stars -- our meals were delicious, with attention to detail -- fresh lime on the lettuce that came with the fajitas, for example. It was clean, friendly service, food was fresh, salsa was fresh and spicy with fresh cilantro. Will definitely come here again when we go to Tanger Outlets. Food was just average. Service was so-so. I'd go again... I guess? Not the best nor the worst.

My group and I really enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean and a large menu to select from. The chips and salsa were outstanding! I enjoyed a margarita as well. It was tasty. Our meals included the Chicken Burrito, Chicken Quesadilla, Cheese Quesadilla, and rice and beans. All were good! Our waiter was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. We're huge fans of El Paso. We've never had a bad meal and have loved everything we've tried... and we've tried a lot of the menu. All of the meat is always flavored well and portions are huge. They have a special every day of the week, and their margaritas can't be beat read more

Salsa is bomb. Food is good but the fajitas has msg in it plus you get about 5 teeny crumbs of chicken in it. It's mostly veggies. We do come here a fair about because staff is so kind and good salsa BUT IF YOURE LOOKING FIR AMAZING NON MSG FOOD ID GO TO PLAZA AZTECA. that's our go to. My only complaint is that they don't have consistent salsa but the food is unbearable. read more

I've started eating at El Paso more frequently. After being down there are a much more regular basis, I've come to really enjoy eating there. I've learned a few things along the way regarding the product that they put out. If you ask them to make you food a specific way, or explain what you like in regards to Mexican food, they will make it match that a bit more closely. They'll fire the food up too if you like it spicy. They will also make tacos with corn tortillas if you ask. I prefer mine with cilantro and onion only and they will make them that way. I've also found out along the way that they make their own salsa in house as well as their salsa verde. It's quickly became my go-to for Mexican food. They're opening another store in Bethel Park soon, also looking forward to that. read more

I've had rock gut since I ate here two hours ago. I feel really gross. (TL;dr available at bottom) The two stars are only because the service was good - quick, friendly, and great about refills and getting the check. So...here we go. I sat down and my bag slipped into the crumb catcher at the back of the booth. Queue the wrinkle face because the crumb catcher was full of junk. Gross. The menu felt a little overpriced for what was offered. I decided to get a combo plate of enchilada, taco and chalupa. I ordered a side of rice and beans since, even at 11 dollars, the combo plate did not include it. The food comes out and I'm underwhelmed by what I see. I hope against hope that maybe it tastes better than it looks. I started on the enchilada. It was a slightly warm corn tortilla with some ground beef inside and taco sauce poured over the top, with a sprinkling of melted cheese over that. LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS GROUND BEEF. This sh** is disgusting. It reminds me of the food they served in Detroit Public Schools hot lunches in the 80s, except that was somehow better. Those lunches were notoriously bad and they were made by high school students and shipped out to all the other schools. THIS MEAT WAS WORSE. It lacked flavour and the texture was mush. Every time I think about how I ate that, and what it felt like in my mouth, I feel nauseated all over again. It's one of the worst foods I've ever eaten. Moving on to the... chalupa? This was not a chalupa. It was a tostada. It was a tostada with beans, lettuce, a slice of tomato and a glop of guacamole. The glop meant that I could not pick it up, and it being a tostada meant that cutting through it was a pain. It was bland. So, the taco. How can a Mexican restaurant mess up a taco? Answer: American hard corn taco shell with that same ground beef topped with just lettuce. Seriously? At least the Detroit version had cheese. The beans were actually good. Flavourful. The rice was just... orangeish fried rice with some kind of frozen or canned mixed veg (lima beans? really?). I asked for a side but I got a platter of it. I got charged a LOT for it, too (about four dollars). The food at this place is NOT Mexican. It's not Mexican-American. It's cafeteria style fast food Mexican. That's the best term for it. Twenty bucks total and the best part of the meal was the free chips and salsa. The interior is also confusing. It has some really great beginnings. There are several pieces of art on the wall that are really atmosphere setting and if it had been decorated around those pieces could have pulled off a great cantina feel. Instead, a bunch of paper and foil dollar store decorations have been strung across the ceiling and behind the bar, making this feel like it's a walk up to the counter and order kind of place. TL;dr Cafeteria style fast food Mexican that sits like a rock in your gut and burns a hole in your wallet. read more

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Good chips and salsa start off the experience. Queso Fundido is a must everytime. Melted Queso with Chorizo and warm tortillas for the appetizer!! Delicious!!! For dinner was Carnitas Patron, chunks of roasted pork with chorizo, with mexican rice and refried beans with cheese. This is some good eating, Muy Bueno!!!!! I ate here a couple of times because it's close. I had shrimp tacos which were good and I ordered shrimp and scallop fajitas which I liked. They served me warm chips and salsa which had a medium hotness and for a little extra I got guacamole dip for them. My fajitas and shrimp had delicious tender meat. I had so much left over that I asked for a box and extra fajitas. The service is a little spotty as the staff is Mexican and seems to be new to America. This is a descent clean restaurant with an outdoor patio. read more

The cheese enchiladas taste like watery Velveta cheese. Enchiladas should be made with good quality cheese, especially when the main flavor pallet is the cheese. I can not speak for the remaining dishes on the menu, but if the ingredients reflect the enchiladas, then I am not hopeful. The waiter was very understanding, and management comped our meal, which is the reason for a 2 star review rather than one. read more
