And for years I was happy with the way I was treated, the quality of care, and the non-toxic materials that she uses. However, in the last year there were three different incidents that occurred that made me feel very uncomfortable and as a result I am no longer a patient there. First, she gave me epinephrine after I specifically asked her not to and I had a really terrible reaction to it that took me months to recover from. She claims she didn't hear me even though I was sitting right next to her (and have been requesting no epi for yrs). She tried to defend her decision which was so inappropriate considering I'm the patient and made a very clear verbal request for no epi. Another time she treated me quite roughly during a treatment and when I tried to address this with her she did not apologize and just kept making the same excuse, leaving me feeling completely dismissed. And when I asked for her opinion on braces vs Invisalign she was quite stern with me saying she would only recommend Invisalign and wouldn't even hear me out or consider that my needs might not match her general knowledge/opinion (I also ended up getting braces and did very well with them despite her many warnings). After these incidents I realized her recommendations were all very general and never really considered my unique needs and sensitivities which is precisely what a holistic practitioner is supposed to do. So sadly I stopped feeling safe there and will not be returning.

What!!! The crown just happened to fail at the same time she filled the tooth next to it!!! To me, it is an easy fix & just a matter of tedious work. All she had to do was care enough to look! Instead, she told me that I could report her to the Dental Board of California!!!! Unbelievable!!! Her behavior was extremely unprofessional!!!!

What a refreshing treat! The office itself is comfortable and modern, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. But the real treat was spending time with Dr. Minye. It was my first visit, and he spent considerable time getting to know me, my dental history and everything related to my teeth and general health. Not only is Dr. Minye a good listener, he is very empathetic--which is a HIGHLY important skill set for someone who does work as intimate as dentistry. Even during a simple cleaning, he continually checked in with me to see if I was comfortable. He was thorough and competent in his work, and made a point to explain everything he was doing or about to do as he went through the process. I was so relaxed I could hardly believe I was in the dentist's chair! If you are nervous about dentists or concerned about pain, or if you just want a compassionate, likable person on the other end of the hands in your mouth, this is the guy to see.

I was impressed by how he made me feel like I wasn't imposing on his day off, even though I knew I was! Dr. Costanza has such a calm and gentle personality that he makes you feel relaxed and comfortable, even when you are having major work done. The referral was written in 2019 when I wanted to get braces but I chickened out. Unfortunately, cavities started developing on all the wisdom teeth over the last two years to the point where I noticed my breath did not feel clean even after brushing, flossing and mouth rinse. I decided to come in for a consult to get my questions answered. Dr. Jiries Mogannam provided my consult. He answered all my questions and gave me my options. He explained to me that the wisdom tooth can give me more issues down the line even if I can patch up all the cavities now. His main concern was the oral hygiene of my mouth and to protect the nearby molars from decay that could be spread from the wisdom teeth. He was not pushy, I left informed and empowered to take the next step. Plus, I still wanted braces so it makes sense to get the surgery. The surgery was quick and painless because I was out! I was filled with anxieties the day before and even while sitting in the chair but I knew it needed to be done. I was in and out in a hour. The recovery was painful and that was expected. I followed all the instructions given in terms of oral care and food choices. I survived to tell the tale and I am the biggest chicken out of everybody I know so if I can do this oral surgery so can you! Thank you Dr. Mogannam, the assisting staff members and the front desk! Everyone was friendly and made me feel at ease.

I was referred to Dr. Chavez by my primary dentist for a tooth extraction and subsequent implant installation. Tooth extraction.... quick and painless. I was worried about the implant installation. I arrived at the office and was seen right on time ( a rarity in the medical industry) Everyone I encountered were above par, kind and attentive. I was walked back to the office; the procedure was explained to me in great detail. A few more assistants were in and out explaining costs and procedures etc. Dr Chavez came in and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained in detail the process the day of and in the future. A local anesthetic was administered ... again Painless. The local anesthetic took effect. Dr. Chavez and his assistant were a "well-oiled machine" and worked very well together. All during the procedure every step was explained as they were moving through the tooth implant installation. Before I knew it.. installation complete. Dr. Chavez explained how I should feel in the upcoming days and made it very clear that he was available for any questions. His assistant remained in the room and explained all of the steps I would need to do in the days following the installation and provided a step-by-step handout to refer to. She walked me out of the building. Another amazing aspect, the local anesthesia was exactly that ... LOCAL. it blocked the pain only in the area that the surgery was performed on (and I didn't feel ANYTHING!) my tongue, face, nose were not numb! I could talk and I didn't feel like I was drooling. Frome start to finish, I was out of the office within an hour. Dental surgery can be scary. I can honestly say I will never worry again as long as Dr. Chavez is performing the procedure. 10 out of 10 stars
