Dr. Miin is extremely professional in his bedside manor and his overall way he goes about extracting teeth which is why I recently have seen him which will make my forth visit in about 5 years now due to failing teeth, unfortunately. I'm not so sure where several of the other Yelp reviewers are seeing what I'm not seeing. Yes he likes to chat and find things in commons as to subjects to chat about as his internal coping mechanisms to relax his patients which Is what I'm seeing. My insurance carrier had recently changed and I still opted to pay total out of pocket on my own that how much I feel that I trust Dr.Miins skills which I'm Lucky to not have to worry about the cost at this time. In this day and age, you just are not going to be able to get everything 100% perfect so a few of the comments that were made about Dr. Miin or his offices and how clean they are I didn't see myself which is just how things are I figured. I'm not sure how often Mary Poppins comes around to the offices but I thought they were both very tidy in my recent visits to the Winsor office. Lizz, who is Dr. Miins Office Manager is excellent and is always at 100% perky which is a good thing for a person that works behind the scenes to ensure that back office part of my visit goes smooth and at 100%. Dr. Miin's aggressive and bullying manner surfaced just a few minutes into what was supposed to be a consultation, but which quickly revealed his browbeating and intimidating character. I called him out and scolded him for it at which point he relented. Nevertheless, I was unable to get an estimate for the extractions he proposed or to obtain the treatment plan modifications I requested. A negative experience overall. read more

Mr. Miin, was knowledgeable and friendly. The folks in his office were nice. Saying this, Dr. Miin wanted to charge me almost $2500 to pull a decayed molar. I was told I had to be put under anesthesia and a bone graft would have to be done--even though I was not getting an implant. Nothing sounded right to me. I went to Santa Rosa Oral Surgery, and they did the procedure for under $500. No bone grafts, no anesthesia, no problems. He took the time to go over any possible complications to my oral surgery. He is open and honest. I am a person who has had dental anxiety from a bad experience when I was 5 years old. One star so I can post this review. What a horrible experience! Dr Miin should pay ME for the consultation. Very poor bedside manner. He told me all the horrible things that could happen if I didn't get sedation, which would have cost me $1055 out of pocket. Found out he doesn't see anyone unless they get sedated. (I personally know 2) He would absolutely not pull my tooth and let me walk out the door. I wish I would have read his reviews. He is charging me a $62 consultation fee for all his BS. I took time off work to waste on this guy. He tried to finesse his refusal to help me but it spelled self-interest ($) all the same. Reading other 1 star reviews here I can only assume I dodged a bullet but it still stings being told that not only can he not work on me, no one can. Called here last week and was instructed to make an appointment for a consultation(nothing ever said about price for consultation). After the consultation and the unprofessionalism of Dr. Miim I now understand why so many ONE Star reviews. 100% arrogant. Using analogies of not stopping the bleeding as compared to a lawn sprinkler broken off and water shooting everywhere.... WTF.... Or if he's not able to get all the pieces of the tooth out .... Not a great experience. Dr Miin's bedside manner was at first assuring and confident, then he became brusquely bullying and arrogant. A few weeks after surgery I followed up to have spurs and impacted pieces removed that were causing pain. He minimized the pain, and called the pieces of teeth he left in, 'artifacts', saying that they'd work themselves out. I stayed in intense pain for another few weeks, and fours months later, I still suffer from the spurs and sharp bits popping through my gums. read more

Dr. Miin is a con artist! I took my sister here for a simple extraction. What was originally a $800. estimate, within an hour became nearly $8000. He wanted to use a general anesthetic, do an MRI and various other unnecessary procedures. My sister has extreme anxiety and dementia. By the time she called me she was hysterical by this intimidating man who was insisting on these procedures. After questioning him he stated that he worked as a plastic surgeon who "put a gunshot victim back together " he explained in detail the gory details of several surgeries. All of this took place in front of my sister who was at this point trembling with anxiety. We decided to have the tooth removed and left. ( In hind sight, we should have left the office.) Dr. Miin uses intimidation and fear tactics to try and run his fees up. I would advise EVERYONE to get a second opinion if their initial estimate suddenly becomes astronomical. I worked for a dentist for 15 years. Thankfully, I knew Dr. Miin was a con artist who never considered my sister's condition while strong arming her into more work then necessary. I have reported him and hopefully he will be investigated for his unethical practices. read more

Top notch service! From the friendly greeting I received walking in the door to the super nice lady that took my x-rays I felt at ease from the very beginning of my visit. Having horrid pain from an impacted wisdom tooth I had been referred to Dr. Minn on an emergency basis for extraction. Not my favorite way to meet new people but the whole support staff and Dr. Minn did an exception job of making me feel safe and cared for. They made sure they had all the right insurance info and had me out the door in what felt like no time! My experience with Dr. Minn in June of 2021 was negative. In my life I have had a lot of dental work and this was the worst! Dr. Minn talked too much during the initial consultation, in particular about what his past patients said to him during sedation. I found it to be very inappropriate for a doctor to discuss sex with a patient he never met and this made me most uncomfortable. I only decided to go to him for the extraction because I had an infection in the tooth root and it was causing inner ear issues and I couldn't get into my regular dentist. The office manager, Liz, was most helpful and she was able to get me in right away, and so she is the reason I decided to go. The morning of the oral surgery he was having a very loud and aggravated conversation (on the phone probably but I couldn't see him) about "blood clotting" just outside the door that went on for what seemed like a very long time. I even had to ask his assistant to close the door. I was a nervous wreck by the time the surgery began. He seemed very agitated when he came in and I felt that he was unnecessarily rough with my mouth. Both offices were dirty . . .of particular note, they are old buildings but I observed obvious thick levels of dust on the blinds and was afraid to look elsewhere after that. His two assistants had dirty shoes and their hair was hanging down in their faces. Definite hygiene concerns in a place where surgery was performed. In addition, they never bothered to call after the surgery to see how I was doing. The medication I was given for pain was something I could not take. I was in pain for about a week an a half after the surgery. I would think twice about using this doctor . . .We are new to Santa Rosa and will seek out other options for the future. read more

From the very beginning I found my experience with Dr. Miin and his staff to be excellent, all very friendly and efficient. Liz was always there to answer all my questions to my satisfaction. Both offices and examining rooms very very clean and obviously well sanitized. They are the kindest people. Dr Minn is very honest about if something is going to hurt. I appreciate that. No surprises and I can choose sedation if I feel it's right for me or not. So, obviously no one likes to get their teeth pulled, but if you do have to get one pulled I would highly recommend Dr. Miin. First of all, the facility is extremely clean. The gals at the front desk are courteous and efficient. The nurse who assists the doctor had a wonderful bedside manner. Very gentle, reassuring, available for comfort. She does her job well. And finally the doctor. A straightforward guy who really knows what he's talking about. Did a wonderful job on my tooth extraction. I was extremely nervous. You can tell he really knows what he's doing. The shots barely hurt and the extraction didn't hurt at all. Quick and painless. Dr Minn removed a fibroma from my inner lip. Non cancerous and a result of years of biting on it...basically scar tissue. the procedure was painless and now a week later the incision is perfect! You already know how sensitive your mouth and tongue is. It is perfect. No evidence of having this lesion removed. Thanks Doc. Happy camper read more

Working with the booking staff has been THE absolutely most painful and insulting experience I have ever had at a doctors office in my entire life. I called and asked them to coordinate a multi procedure appointment with the another doctor that has her own practice and they were supposed to call me back if there were any problems. When I called back an hour later to make sure they reached the other doctor to coordinate the appointments they told me that they decided to not call the other doctor because their schedule couldn't be booked they way I wanted it booked. I said if there was a problem then why didn't anyone call me back right away to tell me there was a problem? They weren't planning to call me back to let me know there was a problem AND I was told they didn't know why I wasn't called back. I have an urgent situation where the temporary 5 tooth bridge (all my top front teeth) will break soon and need the implant installed ASAP so I can get permanent crowns installed before the temporary breaks and I can't afford to pay for another temporary. There next available implant appointment isn't for another 3 months. The reason I wanted them to call the other doctor, the same day I had this call with them, is because it was the other doctors last day before going on vacation for a week. They too don't have any appointments for another 3 months and so time is of the essence to book a time that same day for a future appointment... Or risk not getting an appointment for another 4 or 5 months and I don't know if my temporary will last that long. With this in mind I offered to call the other doctor and conference them in together while I was on the phone. Her reply was not to worry and that as soon as we hung up she would call them immediately to get the appointments scheduled. So the booking staff lied when we hung up she did not call the other doctor, as they volunteered to do, they changed their mind and didn't even have the common courtesy or respect to call me to let me know there was a problem. This complete lack of follow through has happened to me at least 4 times (BUT probably more) since I started working with them in the last 2 years. It is standard operating procedure to blow off patients and not do their job of following through with call backs.. I have had all I can take with being dismissed and disrespected by the booking staff in this way. Lastly, when I asked the booking staff to have my doctor, that works out of their office, to call me back because I knew he would make them fix this scheduling situation that same day... the booking staff said NO, because she had already talked to the doctor. This was yet another lie. When I asked my doctor about this he said they never talked to him about the scheduling situation and that he knew nothing about it. Since they wouldn't let me speak to my doctor I immediately asked to speak with the manager to see if she could help fix the scheduling situation... I was told she wouldn't be back into the office for 3 weeks. Dealing with this employee was like talking to a vacant black hole. I hung up because this booking staff person was handling everything wrong. She refused to give a message to my doctor to call me back and the office manager was gone for 3 weeks. I have moved my business elsewhere and unless you want to get the runaround like I did it's best to avoid this office due to the irresponsible booking staff. They have constant hold times of 5 min or more when you try to call to simply make an appointment. Sometimes they don't want you to hold so long and they will offer to call back but they never call back. Lastly, they don't ever accept responsibility when they screw things up and instead when your on the phone with them telling them they are screwing up they act like nothing is wrong while using a fake happy voice and they either ignore addressing/admitting anything about their screw up or they act surprised as if they have no idea what your talking about. It's like talking to an empty vacant brick wall. No common sense at all. read more
