My dentist recommended I consult Dr. Clinton for some work. I was very pleased. Professional, polite, would go back if needed.

I wandered in thinking I was going to see the previous practitioner who had recently retired. But the warm welcome I received combined with stellar reviews on Yelp from her Santa Rosa practice convinced me to give Dr Loxley a try. The root canal work she did was surprisingly painless and she put me at ease throughout the process, always checking that I was comfortable. Any post visit discomfort was equally minimal. I would encourage anyone needing this kind of work to make an appointment with her. John B

Being in acute pain for a few days and with the Thanksgiving holidays round the corner, to be able…read moreto get an Endodontist's appointment seemed impossible. I called up a couple including Santa Rosa Endodontics and was accommodated the following day itself, for a consult. I was attended to by Dr. Marina Awad. I had been referred by the dentist for a 'retreat' of the root canal (done just months before) but instead of straight away wanting to go for that, Dr. Awad took the route of doing a thorough reexamination, first. They did a detailed 3 D X-ray, physical examination, blotting paper tests, did the level correction of that tooth cap, asked Qs, made suggestions, asked me to wait for a few weeks and come back (in case I could tolerate the pain and discomfort for a few days) to re-assess if at all a retreat was needed or was it okay to wait for it to heal itself (as visibly all looked okay to Dr. Awad). I preferred to wait and revisit. The thorough examination was undertaken once again and certain valid suggestions were got once again from Dr. Awad. The best part about my visits to her is her understanding and patient attitude. One of the suggestion/option she gave me was to try and wait it out for another six months to see if the issue was coz the root canal needed time for healing or a 'retreat' is really needed due to some other issue, especially when visibly all still seemed okay. I agreed with her point of view & suggestion. She is a thorough professional and seems someone who is in no rush to 'retreat' unless that's necessary. I recommend Dr. Awad and Santa Rosa Endodotics!!

I was sent by my primary care dentist to assess if I needed a root canal or surgery. I have to say…read morethat Dr Farinaz Bokhour, DDS is the worst dental professional I have ever seen. She is uncaring, unprofessional and almost delights in causing pain. When asking her questions she makes snide remarks and uses sarcasm to belittle you. I filled out all the paperwork before getting in the chair to be worked on including how I would pay. But while sitting in the dental chair with my mouth numb, she brings me my jacket and says, "we need you to pay with your credit card before we begin." I'm a retired person with very good credit but have never been so humiliated by a medical professional. After doing multiple tests, scans and X-rays, she worked for an hour on the tooth trying to do the root canal and finally gave up and said, your tooth is cracked and this won't work. You'll have to see a dental surgeon. When I asked why it took so long to figure this out, she says sarcastically, "do I look like a fortune teller." Unbelievable!! So I got charged over $1400 for something she should have been able to figure out in much less time, tests and pain. At one point when giving me the anesthesia shots I almost jumped out of the chair in pain. She says, good, that means I got the right spot and they will work. No "I'm sorry" or compassion at all. She is mean and unprofessional!! Very traumatic experience!! It's a wonder she is allowed to practice! I don't know anything about her husband, Dr Moattar, but she is terrible! The next day I went to Sonoma County Oral Surgery office and had a very good experience with a very professional surgeon!

After a long journey through multiple endodontists, I finally found my dental savior in Dr. Grove…read more What I appreciate most about him is his alternative approach to dentistry, specifically his use of oxygen/ozone therapy. Twice now I've come to Dr. Grove with painful toothaches, and each time he's been able to treat the issue without resorting to extraction or root canal, which was the recommendation from other endodontists I had visited. Instead, he used oxygen/ozone therapy to get rid of the pain without invasive surgery. Whereas other endodontists I've been to seem solely focused on profit, Dr. Grove genuinely cares about providing the best treatment for his patients. He takes the time to understand the root cause of the problem and explores alternative solutions that can address the issue effectively without unnecessary procedures. If you're tired of the cookie-cutter approach of many dental specialists who are quick to recommend extraction or root canal, I highly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Grove. His alternative, holistic methods have been a game changer for me, and I'm grateful to have found such a caring and competent endodontist. 5 stars all the way!

Our family dentist (Mike Neal in Healdsburg - best dentist ever!) referred us to Dr. Robert Grove on Farmers Lane in Santa Rosa. I went first (to get it over with). It turned out that not only is Dr. Grove a skilled endodontist, but he and his whole staff are extremely nice people. They were warm and professional - and patient! I'll take "skill" over "nice" any day, but it's a giant bonus when you get both! We never knew that a root canal can actually be painless! We're glad it's over, but if we ever need another root canal, we will go, "fear-free" back to Dr. Grove.

When I first came in and sat in the chair I was impressed with the technology that they use at this dentist office. It's pretty high tech, at least from what I've seen in dentist offices. I have a severe back injury and I'm unable to sit in dentist chairs for long. It aggravates my low back and puts me in pain for the next couple days if I sit too long. I was fortunate enough to have this root canal only take about 30 minutes. Dr Karney has a high level of pride for his work and his patients as I've learned from talking with him after this procedure. I complained of pain in that tooth since the procedure that was about 2 months ago. I expressed that I'm unsure if it's the root canal itself or if it's the crown that my regular dentist put on after and he's offered to check it out for me regardless. There needs to be more dentists out there that hold the patients and standard of their work at these high levels out there. I've seen many different dentists in my time and have had some very bad experiences. No one really likes going to the dentist. Who willingly wants their teeth drilled into?! But when a dentist holds you to a high standard of care and does good work it makes things much more comfortable for such the awkward experience that it is. Thank you Dr Karney.

It was perfectly obvious Dr. Karney knew exactly what he was doing. Wish I had come here from the first, and I will from now on if I need to. I've had…read morea couple done by my regular dentist, and the rest done by an old warhorse over the course of 10 years in his 70s who didn't want to retire. The 30,000' view - totally positive experience - from initial telephone contact and information giving, to arrival and the procedure itself. Dr. Anderson has a 3D imaging machine I'd not seen before. Now that was cool. But what impressed me the most was his ability to interpret the scans/images, ask questions, and arrive at a really pristine diagnosis. I'd had the normal intense pain from tooth #13, but had been unable to see my regular dentist for four days. By that time the pain had almost disappeared. The tooth causing the problems wasn't a problem any more. Still, it needed a root canal. I experienced no pain - a root canal these days is no different from my perspective as someone going through the procedure, than having a cavity filled. Dr. Anderson also discovered that the molar next to #13 was infected, but only enough that I was vaguely aware of a slight discomfort. That root canal was done by a regular dentist, not an endodontist. Unfortunately I'm going to need a reparative second root canal on that tooth. As an aside, last month my regular dentist had replaced an old crown with a new one on that tooth, and didn't catch the presence of an infection from the x-rays. Cudos to Dr. Anderson! Like others have reported, I got a phone call this morning from Dr. Anderson asking about my recovery from the root canal. I realized I'd not thought about the root canal at all this morning and that was my story.
