We were nervous about trying this out so we did a couple's float for Valentines day and it was such a cool experience! We were admittedly a little awkward about it at first because it is SO slippery and we had the lights off and couldn't see well. But after we adjusted and relaxed, it was a deeply soothing experience. It was very easy to be in the moment and just meditate and listen to the music. I felt it was just the right amount of time, too. We still had about an hour of float time, not counting the first few minutes we spent trying to adjust and get comfortable. They alert you when your time is almost up, so you can rinse the salt off in the shower before leaving. Although I haven't been to Bodymind in a bit, the two floats I've experienced here have been fantastic. Wonderful staff, fair pricing, clean, and a unique experience to unwind and do some forced disconnecting. I've floated both times in the cavernous pod-like tub. Judging from their website, it looks like it no longer has the top enclosure that you'll see in the photo I am attaching to this review. If you're concerned about feeling claustrophobic, I would book this pool! For me, floating was the all about relaxation and stress relief. After 10 minutes(ish), your mind sort of goes into itself and just accepts that you aren't going to be moving for awhile. My first float, I could've sworn I had only been in there for 30 minutes when the lights flickered on and music started playing to indicate my 90 minutes was nearly up. It was magical! The epsom salt gives you a feeling of weightlessness and allows you to release tension. Ear plugs are a MUST and don't forget to avoid touching your face. I see the benefit in full sensory deprivation in a world reliant on sensory overload. I received a gift certificate from someone who has mobility issues and wasn't able to get in and out of the tank. After my own float I can certainly understand how this would be difficult for her. In addition to being difficult to get in and out of the tank, while in floating in the tank isn't comfortable. The water is COLD!! There's no way I could stay in the cold water for more than 30 min. I left my float early! The top half of your body is outside the water and the room isn't warm either. It's dark and the floating light doesn't really work. It's also boring, you can't nap, you can't read or listen to anything. Self meditation can only go on for so long. I much prefer a sauna or drip, I found no physical benefits to this therapy either. read more

I won a gift certificate for a solo float in a silent auction and decided to set up my appointment after an exceptionally stressful week. I was nervous about a number of things, including feeling claustrophobic, being bored with silence and zero sensory stimulation, and the fact that I can't swim well and I thought I would be sealed in a tank of deep water. It turns out none of these things were cause for concern: my tank was actually an open pool with only 10 inches of very "floaty" water, and after some initial anxiety, I came to value the dark and silent experience. Everything was very clean and well organized. The room temperature was extra toasty. (This was great right up until my post-float shower rinse and then I couldn't seem to stop sweating long enough to tug my leggings back on.) As odd as it might sound, I really appreciated the availability of vinegar as a hair rinse. I never would've thought that could make my hair feel so nice after soaking it in salt! I also liked the silicone earplugs offered. Bodymind seems to have the details covered in order to give their guests a relaxing, healing, rejuvenating experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit! This was such a unique and fun experience! I had no idea what to expect, but I left feeling more refreshed and relaxed. Booking the session online was super easy. Their website has information about their different float pools and what precautions they are taking during the pandemic. They have both open and enclosed float pools. We wanted to try the cathedral pool, which is enclosed, but it was undergoing renovations. We opted for the open couples pool instead, and it was still a great experience. The videos online explained that they wipe all doorknobs and most surfaces with disinfectant wipes. The employees working there were very respectful of social distancing and wore masks when welcoming us. They provide sandals, ear plugs, and Vaseline (to cover up cuts) before you go into your float room. We received a brief orientation of what to expect. News flash: you go in butt neki and float your little heart out! It was the most unusual experience at first -- it felt like we were astronaut trainees in an anti gravity chamber. It took us 10-15 mins to adjust before we finally got comfortable. Once we relaxed, it was super calming to float in the silence. We also turned off the lights, and the sensory deprivation added to the calming experience. Once the session is over, a classical orchestral piece plays over the speakers. They have a shower in the same room and provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to clean off all the salts. Overall, it was a very unique and different experience. At Bodymind Float Center, you practically give up your sense of sight, hearing, and smell to experience a psudo-nothingness in which you are to relax and meditate. Did I have an epiphany or state of enlightenment? No. Did I end up summoning the Demogorgon (watch Stranger Things)? No. BUT, I did have a very relaxing experience and a tranquil feeling during and after my float. I did take some time getting adjusted to floating, and some moments I did feel the water was a TAD cold, but overall once I embraced my situation, relaxed my whole body, and then looked towards myself, I felt myself floating in the void. At times I would float to the side of the pod and felt my foot touch the sidewall. Once I lightly pushed off, I felt like I was totally spinning and lost track of my orientation! Kind of surreal and I liked it. Sometimes I fell asleep, or played with the light, or moved my body around to make sure I was still alive; but it was my experience and my time to enjoy. Once all my curiosity was fulfilled I spent a lot of time in self reflection. This was definitely a different experience. I don't want to go into too many details about the pod, or ambiance, or service. There's really no need, because EVERYTHING was on point. For things that stood out, their room/pod maintenance records on the wall to see what their level of standards are. Also, every staff member I met was not only very polite, but also passionate and knowledgeable about their products and services. These aren't part-timers you find off the street. It's quite admirable. If you really have an open mind and aren't freaked out about being in the dark for a extended period of time, I highly recommend this. As you do with a gym, I truly believe your experience here is what you make of it. The equipment is there for you to work on yourself, so it's in your hands! Of course, adjustments can be made. I've gone twice and each time I've always had a good experience. I am deaf, and their service accommodated our needs. They gave me a good warning that my float was almost over by gently turning on the filter so it moved the water. The sensation woke me up gently and I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated from the float. I say it is worth every penny if you felt the need to get away from everything such as phones and technology and have a chance to relax. Plus the lighting was great. The customer service here is top notch- super friendly and knowledgeable staff that are happy to help make your experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible. You start in the main lobby- it's heated and warm. They check you in and take care of payment. There's water and tea for you as you wait. Currently, 90mns are $65 but it can be as low as $45 for with a contract. When it's time, you go to your room. They give you basic instructions pre, during and post float. Then you are on your own. Inside the room is a tank and a shower. You are instructed to shower first (bring glasses if you wear contacts), put some petroleum jelly on any cuts and then head into the tank whenever you are ready. I won't go too in depth but basically you are in complete silence and darkness for 90mns. I personally spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I should do. I did fall into a deeply relaxed state a few times during the session... All and all, interesting experience. This was a very interesting situation. It wasn't for me, but the whole idea is pretty cool, and I know some people who enjoy this place and go a few times a month. Upon walking in, you have to take your shoes off. The person at the front desk was friendly and eager to explain what to expect. I went with my boyfriend at the time. We shared a cathedral dome, which means the dome was tall and definitely big enough for two, not small like a pod. You have to shower with the float center's products to make sure you're clean for the tub. They provide plenty of clean towels, robes, hair caps, ear plugs, pillows for the tub, stuff like that. The actual tub was shallow and quite slippery because of the Epsom salt, of course. You get in, lay down, and immediately start floating. STRANGE! Your ears will go under the water, whether you're using the pillow or not, so use ear plugs! Once you turn the light off, it's pitch black and you can't hear a thing. There also isn't much of a smell. It's total sensory deprivation, which is supposedly peaceful. Unless the person next to you is moving like mine was. Then you can feel the waves. Every movement felt intensified in that water. I also could hear my heart beating, which was a different sensation. Light music will start playing and the lights will slowly come on once your time is up. Upon getting out, you shower again. They have lotion and combs and hair gel, etc. to fix yourself afterwards. Bodymind provides a unique and cool experience. My usual "me time" consists of a massage or facial but I wanted to try something different and a little less costly. As a first timer, it's wise to show up a few minutes early because there's a form to sign and a video to watch. The video has some pretty important information on it so listen carefully. The room had everything I needed: a shower, robe, towels, ear plugs, soap, tissue, and lotion. It was ~94 degrees, which was AMAZING for me because that's my kind of temp. The water in the floating tank is equally warm. At first, I had a difficult time relaxing. I wasn't sure if I should keep the lights on or off, or if I should wear the neck pillow. It was a challenge at first but I finally became comfortable. I think this is a challenge for all newbies. My brain is constantly in overdrive so it was great to finally have a few minutes of zen. I'm definitely going back soon. My only complaint is the ventilation system. I was able to hear women talking over the sound of the hair dryers in the primp room, even with my earplugs on. There is a sign that says to close the door to the primp room due to the noise of the hairdryers, but it seems that common sense was lacking with the ladies who decided to speak so loudly for the other guests to hear. Therefore, a sign stating to keep voices low in that room is needed. Other than that, this place is perfection. read more

WOW, WOW, & WOW! This was my first experience in floating and they knocked it out of the park. I have PTSD and am a Barber, so the thought of a warm, dark space, with no noise, or talking for 90 minutes is a dream come true! Ok, where to start? The staff and facility: TBMFC is located near the UPS Store on Park. It's easy to find and there was plenty of parking. You have to take your shoes off at the door, which surprised me, but also kinda made me feel like I was coming home. The store itself is very clean, modern, and minimalist. I was afraid that it may be a little too "New Age" for me, but it is very grounded and comfortable for any person. David and Michelle greeted me at the door and did well in explaining procedures on how things worked. They were extremely polite and peaceful, I was already starting to relax. The Experience: Everything is very mellow and relaxing. I went in The Tranquility Pod and it was AWESOME. The shower in my pod room was clean and warm, very private. I liked the option of different earplugs and other amenities. The pod was clean, easy to use, comfortable. It's a little weird when you first get it, it's not like a coffin. I'm 6'1" tall and had room. I could sit straight up without touching my head to the top. It took me about 30 minutes to calm down enough (and stop playing with the buttons for the light and door) to fully relax and then BHAM!!!!! Total relaxation. It's amazing how fast the time flew, I felt like I slept for the entire day. I don't know if I slept or was in a trance, but I was in the zone and honestly, I didn't want to get out. So I've been telling everyone about this and there's a few things you need to know. 1. Don't shave before you go, the salt will burn you. There is Vaseline, but I wasn't smart enough to use it. 2. You're perfectly safe floating on your back and you're not going to roll over unless you make yourself (which is somewhat difficult). 3. Everyone should try this at least once. It was so relaxing. After this amazing experience, I signed up for the "Got to Float" Membership to float once a month for $45 and any consecutive floats are $45. Go, go, go! I cannot recommend enough! read more

I received a gift certificate to float over the past summer and finally got around to using it. I did not have a relaxing or 'sensory deprived' experience, though I am still giving 2 stars because the place is pristinely clean and the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. My problem was the temperature. I was cold to the point of shivering the whole time. I wasn't even able to complete my float because I was just too uncomfortable and had to get out early to dry off and warm up. It was definitely not a 'deprivation' experience. First, you are supposed to shower before going in the tank, and the water never got hot. I think I wasted at least 15 min of my float time hoping the water would get hot before I gave in and took an icy shower....So I was chilled already from a the shower before getting into the pod. Second, the video you watch beforehand recommends you dry off the front of your body before getting into the tank - this is because your entire front will be OUT OF THE WATER since you are essentially floating on the surface. While I followed this direction I found it impossible to not get my legs and torso wet as I got into the tank, so I could feel those parts of my body colder than the parts under the water. And the water itself was, to me, tepid at best, definitely not what I would consider body temp. Third, I could hear a fan or some kind of noise, I felt a breeze blowing on me, and my shivering resulted in me constantly bumping the sides of the pod. None of this was relaxing. At the one-hour mark I finally called it quits and pushed the button for assistance. The person on duty tried to manually increase the temp of the water but it did not make enough of a difference for me and I got out. It could be that this would be better at a different time of year, or maybe some people are just naturally colder than others (I am actually always cold), but take note. You can also ask them to increase the room and water temp, something which I did not know was possible, but I should have asked as soon as I entered my room since it felt cold to me immediately (but I didn't because I figured I would adjust). The staff was very apologetic and offered me a gift certificate to return and try again. I may do this once the weather is warmer, assuming they don't crank the air conditioning in there! read more

Someone at work generously gifted me a float, because she thought that the stress of teaching was going to cause me to spontaneously combust. To begin the experience, it was pretty straightforward to book a time slot online, and sign the waiver. When you book, you get to pick which float tank you would like to use if it is available at that time. I chose the tranquility pod room because I was afraid of feeling claustrophobic. Some of the tanks have doors that shut them (think Ben Affleck in Daredevil), but I wasn't ready for that. The tanks that shut probably are better for slipping into a lucid dream, or meditation due to sensory deprivation. When I arrived, they have you take your shoes off, and then watch a short introductory video. The entire premises are very clean, and professional. The staff is very thorough explaining the procedures, giving a mini tour, and welcoming clients to use the amenities. Before you float, you take a shower that is located right within the room you are floating in. Then, you take these silicone ear plugs, jam them into your ears, and pretend you are chillin' buck naki in the middle of the Dead Sea. The tanks are set to about 93-94 degrees. This is supposed to be the optimal temperature for a float, and I had to remind myself that I wasn't about to step into a bubble bath or a hot tub. The room air is kept warm, but I could have used a little more heat. The shower had nice heat for before and after the float. Yes, you get ultra clean, because you don't want to walk around all SALTY afterwards. They have a vinegar solution to help rinse out the hair, unscented Dr. Bronner's shampoo/soap, and conditioner. I could have used another towel, but I understand that if they put out two for every client, it doubles their laundry and isn't good for the environment. After the second shower, I went to the "primp room" to use their blow dryers and facial wipes. They have combs, tissues, and lotion to use. If you have long hair, throw a brush in your bag beforehand. Before leaving I was encourage to have some tea. I chose the Detox one, and felt healthy there for a minute. People are asked if they choose, to write a note in their "Float Notes" scrapbook. While speaking to the staff afterwards, it is said that it takes a few floats to get super comfortable, and people typically get there on their second or third. The benefits of the salt tanks are supposed to help with muscle pain, anxiety, sleep issues, stress, and the list goes on. I do believe that it did help with the muscles, but I would have to go again to achieve the "float nirvana". It costs $65 for a single float, and $95 for a couple. There are packages to purchase a few for a slight discount, and you can also pay to chill in a salt room. I know they discount their pricing around the holidays for gifts. My mother-in-law (hate that word, it sounds SO formal and I love her like my own mom) ANYWAY bought me a float for my birthday last year and a salt room experience. After MULTIPLE injuries, and being in pain (I have a hypermobility condition that causes chronic pain) I decided to GO FOR IT - but was nervous. I don't "sit still" well or relax very well, I like to be GO GO GO. The staff was SO friendly and the vibes were totally relaxing. I chose a bit more open of a tank, after emailing back and forth with someone of which one would be BEST for the total experience - so I was still closed in, but had some "room". I LOVED it - it was a bit strange to shower and get into the "float tank" but I got over the weirdness of it, put in the provided earplugs and decided THIS IS IT. At first, my mind raced and then NOTHING - I must have been in and out, but then relaxing music played and it was over. I felt this surreal calmness, unlike anything else. Very cool experience. You get in the pod, shut the door and turn off the lights. Water is warm, about body temperature, and treated with salt so floating is easy. Takes a little time to get comfortable but once I did, I lost track of all sense of time, space, everything. I could have been floating and I imagine it would have felt exactly the same. Friends, I floated and it was awesome. I never treat myself to "me time". Between working full-time and taking care of two kids, there just isn't time for me. I had a rare week off before the Christmas holiday and upon a suggestion from a friend, I booked a float session quite impulsively. Upon the suggestion from my friend, I watched the video before I arrived. As is my nature, I arrived 20 minutes before my 90 minute float session was to begin. The staff could not have been nicer and more welcoming! They said I could start my session early because the room was free and that I could enjoy an extra 20 minutes. My room was the last one in the hallway and once inside, it truly felt like a private oasis. The room had a very spa-like feel with ambient lighting, a robe waiting for me, and all the toiletries you may need (cotton balls, face wash, lotion, etc.). I showered in the adjoining private shower and that in itself is more "me time" than I'm usually given! :) Upon entering the pod, I was a little fidgety and couldn't figure out how to relax right away. I tried turning the lights all the way off, then on a little, and then I finally settled for all the way off. It was SO QUIET and I'm not used to that. Next time, I'll play some white noise on my iPhone. It took me about 25 minutes to turn my mind off and relax, but once I did, the "therapy" part kicked right in. I fell asleep. HARD. I slept for about 60 minutes and woke up twenty minutes before the session was scheduled to end. I used that time to take a long, relaxing shower knowing I had extra time to spare. It was heavenly. Then I just relaxed on the comfortable bench and lounged in the robe until the "time's up music" begin quietly filling the room. I used their complimentary hair dryers and combs and sadly got ready to leave. I truly felt the rewards of the floatation therapy the next few days when I slept better than ever at night. I think it's because I was able to truly relax and recharge during my float. I'm always on the go and never take time for myself. I've actually been wanting to try floating in an isolation tank for a while since first reading about it 15 years ago, so I was psyched when I heard that this place opened. I went here yesterday and had a great experience overall. This is one of the most relaxing experiences you can have. It's like hitting the reset button on your computer after you've had it on for a long time, clearing out all the old garbage and starting from a fresh state. Flotation tanks are kind of like the Westerner's answer to meditation, built through technology. The great part is that it gives those unfamiliar with meditation a shortcut to it's benefits, which would likely take years of practice to fully realize. You float in super salinated(epsom salt, I believe) water that is heated to skin temperature, which makes you feel like you are floating in nothing. It is the most comfortable position I think I have ever been in. You can let every single muscle in your body relax completely. I went with the top down completely, which is the only way to do it, in my opinion. The complete lack of external stimuli is something completely new to me, and took me a while to get used to, but once I did, it felt so good. Nothing to see, hear, smell or feel is a great way to unwind. You get into a mental state similar to right before you fall asleep, a different lucid but subdued sense of consciousness. Your mind wanders and eventually you get this sense of nothingness which is great, strange as that may seem. I left feeling very relaxed, mentally clear and energized. Your senses feel keener and everything looks and sounds more vivid. I'm not the kind of guy who's into new agey therapeutic stuff, but this is different. There's science behind it and it makes sense to me. There is a lot if interesting research and literature out there for those that want to know more about it. I would buy one of these tanks myself if they weren't so expensive, and I will definitely be back as a regular going forward. read more

My boyfriend and I have always been very interested in doing a "float" such as this, so when I found out about the float center from a friend, we set up an appointment time right away. This was our first float and we decided to do the couple's float because it was a little cheaper. The staff is extremely friendly and the environment was clean and relaxing. The shampoo and conditioner in the shower leaves a lot to be desired, but it's by no means a deal breaker. The entire experience was very relaxing and definitely different than anything I have ever done. I enjoyed that they had ear plugs, petroleum jelly (for cuts), and tons of other little amenities. I personally found it a little difficult to relax right away, but it felt wonderful to completely let my muscles and joints go. I think I would have had more of a relaxing time if I had been in my own personal tank. Every once in a while I would bump into Doug or he would bump into me, and that kind of snaps you out of wherever you were. It was nice, however, to have that quiet, relaxing time in the space of your loved one. Next time, I think we are going to do separate tanks just to see if it makes any difference. A tip I can only hope you choose to head is that once you are in the tank, close your eyes and KEEP them CLOSED. When you open your eyes, the water can seep in and it's uncomfortable, you have to turn the light on, wipe your eyes out, and resume your original position, which is a pain. Doug received amazing relief for his bad knees (which extended almost all the way into the night) and I was quite relaxed and comfortable. Overall, our experience was quite pleasant and we enjoyed looking through and doodling in the "Float Book" in the waiting room. Very kind staff and everything was very clean. We both hope to return at some point. Since this is the only float center I am aware of in Rochester, it was clean, orderly, organized, and served it's exact purpose, it literally is "as good as it gets" (hence the five stars). read more

The Bodymind float center is a mainstay in my routine as someone living with fibromyalgia. The staff is so friendly and know me by name at this point as I have been going for a few years now. There is soo much hype about the float center but for me I think that's all it was--hype, and some disappointment. While the float cubes you lay in are cool looking in design, I found the water to be too cool and ended up getting out 1/2 way thru to get in the warm shower. The epson Salt is naturally a benefit to soak in but it does make for a very dry environment. It might have been just me and having to high of expectations for the wellness spa, I just wasn't impressed and don't think I'd spend the money again. read more

I am lucky enough to have a monthly membership here. Each float, my experience gets better. For those of you who have only floated once, I encourage you to go back at least 2-3 more times before deciding it isn't for you. If you did a couples float, float alone. If you don't like the closed tank, try an open one. Make sure your body is void of any caffeine. I wouldn't eat before going, but also make sure you won't get hungry mid-float. For my first float, I was very aware that I was floating in a closed space. I was worried I would get bored, I was hoping I would fall asleep so time would pass by quickly. I was hungry. All of these things prevented me from deep relaxation. Once you overcome those things, this is a deeply relaxing experience beyond what words can describe. You find yourself in this existence between being conscious, not asleep, but not awake. Time flies. It takes a bit of getting used to and perfecting the art of floating (making sure your face is dry before laying down, perfecting the ear plug situation, learning how to relax best, choosing a float time that will be most productive for your relaxation, etc). I call the tank my alone tank, because it is exactly what I get to do - be alone. 90 minutes by myself, for myself. The staff provide everything you may need for a fantastic float and post-float. They are always very pleasant and able to answer any questions. read more

I so wanted this to be everything everyone said it would be. I booked a couples float in the cathedral (which is incredibly big) but we both got bored after about 30 minutes -floats are 90 minutes. I wish there was music or aromatherapy available on request because I know it would've helped me stick with relaxing; rather than floating around, sitting up to wipe my face and then floating again. If you can mediate and practice mindfulness easily, this is for you. If you can't do without guided mediation then I don't recommend it. On another hand, the staff have thought of almost everything. They have soft (moldable) and traditional earplugs, robes, special soaps and lotions, contact cases, hair dryers, robes, rubbing alcohol for your ears. Love the atmosphere! Went there for the first time yesterday. Fantastic experience--I feel so much more relaxed now from just one session. The staff members were very informative, helpful, and kind. You could tell that they were passionate about float tanks, and it was contagious. Now I'm passionate about them too. Did I mention you even get free tea (4 kinda to choose from-2 caffeinated if you need to perk up and 2 non-caffeinated if you want to continue your day feeling zen. It was very, very clean and hygienic, and they walk you through the steps, which definitely puts you at ease if you are feeling nervous. One piece of advice though: I went in expecting I would automatically embark this fantastical spiritual journey for my first time. While some may have that, I did not, but I DID have some great spiritual thoughts, feeling of oneness, being a part of something bigger, etc. I think it would be an AWESOME idea to have some kind of "float all you want for X each month", but they would need many more tanks for that. But if they suddenly decided on doing just that...:) I can't wait to go back! read more

I first became acquainted with Bodymind Float Center after purchasing a Living Social deal for a visit to the salt room. Upon arriving at the Center, I met David (one of the owners) who showed me around the updated, very clean and peaceful location. My salt room treatment was relaxing and extremely effective! I noticed an immediate decrease in sinus pressure and easier breathing through my nasal cavity. These results were very evident for at least three days after only one treatment! The following week I had been experiencing a great deal of anxiety that I could just not shake, chest pain, disrupted sleep, inability to focus, the works! Out of desperation I decided to purchase an "Urgent Care" Package (3 visits in one week). When I arrived for my first float appointment, the staff did a great job of explaining the process of preparing for a float and told me what to expect so I felt fully prepared. I must say, it did not take me long to feel fully relaxed and after my first visit, if I believed in heaven... the float tank is EXACTLY what it would feel like. I felt relaxed for the first time in over a week and slept better than I have in a very long time. I am totally sold on this place and I can not say enough good about it. Omg where do I start. I had such an amazing experience. My daughter bought me a float and a salt room for Mothers day/birthday present. From the moment you walk thru the door, barefoot, it was wonderful. Pots of real tea set out for you to make. So much stuff to purchase, I wish I had gotten a pot now. The float experience was a riot ! If you have never done it you must ! Everything is provided, explained throughly, clean. I cant say enough and the staff there was perfect. Always smiled was super polite and nice. Very through explaining and right there for questions. I had the benefit of having the salt room to myself . I was so enegrized by the float i danced around with my headphones on! Then relaxed with some lavander tea filling the room . I would highly recommend this to anyone. I've been telling everyone about my experience at BodyMind Float Center. I went based on a friend's recommendation, and I was really blown away. The place is extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The service I received was friendly and made me feel comfortable with this new experience right away. The floating itself was absolutely incredible. It took me about 30 minutes to "get my bearings" in there, to fully relax and surrender myself to the experience. But once I did.... wow! I felt a deep sense of well-being and complete relaxation. The happy-well-being vibe lasted for hours and hours afterwards. I will definitely be back. For me, this was every bit as relaxing as a massage, and it's considerably cheaper. I was vacationing in Rochester from North Carolina and decided to set up a time to check this place out. My sister and mom go often and love it. I ended up leaving 30 minutes early because the light that was supposed to "stick to anywhere in the tank" wouldn't go back up so I had a completely dark experience, which I did not want. I started to get really itchy on my legs ( I didnt shave recently or have any lotion or anything on) and the water become freezing cold. On my way out the gentleman at the front desk asked how my experience was. I said " not that great" since I am leaving 30 minutes early! I told them what went wrong and they gave excuses for everything. They charged me full price $65 even though I only stayed for an hour, really 45 minutes of actually being in the tank. I would advise, if you are a first timer know they will not do much for you if you have a bad experience. Icing on the cake, I got a follow-up thank you email ( that they send to all customers) it was addressed to MY SISTER! The jerks didnt even have the sense to make sure they put the correct name in the greeting. Clearly my negative expierence and name was not that important for them to remember. read more

So relaxing. I have lupus and fibromyalgia, so I am always in pain. I had a 90 minute float session and it was a MIRACLE! For the 1st time in almost 2 years I was pain free. The staff was amazing. A very calming and chill atmosphere. The pain was gone for about 2 weeks, I will definitely go back and recommend the Float Center to my friends and family. read more
