Just read the fine print that there is a yearly fee of $45 once a year on top of the monthly membership and one time initiation fee (that was donated to a charity) It does get busy on the weekends and after 5pm which is the norm at most gyms. Wished people would wipe down their mats after they sweat all over it. So I have to wipe the mat before and after I use it.

And as I suspected, without any of the ladies that ignore people with intention, the absence of their peer pressure allowed this guy some humanity. He said both "Hi" and"how are you?" This is leaps and bounds better than I'd ever experienced here since pre-COVID. He's allowed GB3's 2 stars to go up to a 3 stars.

The Iron Office is nothing like that. this place has a different energy entirely. serious equipment, serious people, but zero intimidation factor. everyone I've encountered here has been focused and respectful and nobody makes you feel like you don't belong. the equipment selection is legit. if you actually want to lift and not just use machines, this is your spot. free weights, barbells, the kind of setup that serious lifters actually want. open 24 hours which I use more than I expected. late night sessions after work are my thing now and not having to think about closing time is huge. After moving closer to the Nees location, we started coming here regularly and were honestly shocked by the difference. Compared to the other locations, this one feels neglected. Especially during the summer, it is so uncomfortably hot inside. With temperatures being 105+ degrees lately, the A/C should absolutely be running, fans should be going, and it should not feel as muggy and stuffy as it does. The other locations don't feel this way at all. On top of that, there are times it smells unpleasant and overall just looks like it's not cleaned or maintained to the same standard. I have noticed a cleaning crew more recently, which is appreciated, but for a private gym (especially one that has won "Best Fitness Center" four years in a row) I expected much better, particularly when the other locations are so nice and well-kept. This Nees location doesn't even compare. That being said, there are definitely positives. I love the equipment selection, it's never overcrowded, and the trainers/staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I just wish this location received the same level of care as the others because it has so much potential.

I'll start with what I loved about cen cal That sauna is a…read morework of art. I adore everything about it, from the mirror and outdoor exterior to everything about the interior. I also adore the wide variety of outdoor equipment. Sometimes working 8 hour days makes going to an indoor gym kind of depressing. I love admiring the sunset while hitting a few sets outside. There are some cons though to the awesome outdoor setting. I suffered a heat episode during the summer where I nearly fainted due to the lack of air flow within each of the warehouses. Which has ultimately made me pull away from coming here. Along that, there are some cool machines but there are a lot of unkept machines as well. One of the warehouses was being overrun by a coach and his students (they kicked me off a cable that they were not actively using) and I had to move over to the other warehouse most cables were ok, but I had issues on multiple occasions with the seated cable row. The middle piece was bent and could not properly pull the weight. Making it impossible to complete a set. I noticed an inconsistency with maintenance on machinery & slow advancements made to repair those issues. This gym has a tendency to crowd at times, reminding me of my gb3 days. Although not always bad, the gym I currently frequent has machines readily available to me. For the short amount of time I went there the owner never acknowledged me, and maybe I'm too shy to say hi myself but I usually smile to establish some type of familiarity but never got that from him. I'd say if you're nearby this is a great starting gym.

He states he pays 65 dollars a month to be restricted on when he can go to the gym. I thought it was a 24/7 gym? If you want to see men and women posing for content all day and the owner being unfair to his non groupies this is the gym for. These kids have been harassed by you multiple times. You're not correcting any one else in the gym and I noticed when I went multiple times. There were kids in the gym younger than 12 or 13 based on your comment. I know the coach you're speaking of. You're not going to state an actually degree beats a paper certificate that certifies roided out ego lifters. I'll be happy to verify any additional information in my practice that proves this. I watched and observed that same coach you are stating for years in my practice and disagree with the narcissist mindset from the owner who wants to control everything. I witnessed and talked to my child as he expressed you attempting to pouch him from the coach. Belittle what they are doing. Place people in place to prevent them from working out limit their interaction. Explain if they have a membership and paying full price why they have certain times to enter the gym? Now as one of many parents we gathered all information and the coach as stated he would talk to you and sort everything out, however after the disrespect and hostile takeover I am now taking everything in my own hands to come with resolutions and make sure my son and his friends are not being bullied by a social media wannabe promoter.

I have been a member of this club for more than 10 years. Unfortunately, the way they handle broken…read moreequipment has become very disappointing. When a machine breaks down, instead of fixing it, they just take it away. For example, the T-bar row machine has been removed and never returned. Over time, more and more equipment has disappeared, and nothing seems to get repaired or replaced. I have reported this issue to the manager many times, but nothing has changed. It feels like the gym is slowly losing its equipment, which makes it difficult to get a proper workout. For a place I've been loyal to for so long, this is very frustrating and not good service for members.

Dipping into year number 3 of absolutely consistent focused weight training. Even as I'm leaving…read morethe gym, I can't WAIT to get back in! I've increased my days and am now also doing the treadmill. Whatever insomnia I initially suffered from was RESOLVED the first week of training. It's virtually impossible to NOT fall asleep in 3-4 minutes and I mean EVERY NIGHT! That alone was worth getting busy, stopping with making excuses and taking greater responsibility for MY "HEALTH SPAN." Who else gonna do that? It's a super disciplined time of my life and that extends to every habit, what I eat, drink, watch, listen to, allow myself to be around and it's GOOD! I give all glory to God for giving me clarity with each issue, to not dither on important matters! I AM thinking about tomorrows and this gym, its variety, the proximity and the range of what's possible over time is intriguing. As a sci-fi fan, who years ago named his voice-controlled home, "Moon Base Alpha," it compliments my aesthetic. EVERY cell in your body will benefit and it doesn't hurt that I look like a freaking stud! lol Didn't set out that way, but I'll take it 'cause it came along with targeting my insomnia through weight training. Lot's of hormones going on at any gym and it's not hard to shut down 'the look' from both guys and gals. Psst, take a number! lol In no way is the gym a social thing for me. It's the most greedy/selfish time of the day, by NECESSITY! Any air expended beyond that to achieve lift, is conserved. The greatest gains I've made have been with prep/warm ups and doing each lift to exhaustion with only 1 or none left in the tank. Not hard to understand, it's a stimulus/response sending the signals to the cells to BUILD capacity. But here's the thing... Dedicated and consistent exercise/weight training WILL improve EVERY organ in the body when combined with a solid diet and hydration with unsweetened water. A case could be made for some carbs doing a 2 pulse hour of training. I'm using 50% watermelon juice and 50% water. Occasionally, post-workout I hit "ultra filtered milk" and some ovalteen. Although I'm not lactose intolerant, that u-filted milk is much higher in protein and calcium so I'm upping my intake. I do NOT use powders, creatine or health related 'products,' bars, drinks... Instead I use REAL foods, full of fiber and eat proteins with meals, tons of grains, fruits, veggies, nuts, yogurt, etc. I do NOT buy into all the gym bodybuilding hype out there with folks 'selling' stuff. And I know from my own gains that 'the fundamentals' are safer and it's working. As a guy with a mesomorph body type, it's getting good! Viking ancestor genes ACTIVATE! As expected, IF one does not simply begin somewhere, build gradually, and then put that work in, you may be kicking important cans down the road. With the understanding that there ARE 168 hours in the week, I asked myself 'how MANY of those hours are folks/myself actually investing/using?' It's an interesting question. All the personal benefits, gains, enhancements in body/mind/soul--the disease avoidance/mitigations possible--are among the things that I've come to most value. KNOWING the efforts are sound. And even if you're not 'shopping' it's always nice to be noticed positively. Like any tool used to accomplish a task, the gym is perhaps the most significant one I have to take advantage of and I'm grateful to the Lord for always providing what I most need, insight! Walking into the right decisions is critical! I can only imagine how this consistent effort will preserve and enhance function, independence and ability into every season of life! Highly social elsewhere, when I enter any GB3, it's TIME to get busy. The world stops turning, I don't respond to calls or texts. Here, I'm selfish and focused 'by NECESSITY.' The most talking likely to come from me is relegated to asking someone, "How many sets left?" :) -G
