New hope for my life at New hope Chiropractic:
OK, get out your reading glasses because I have a lot to say. It wouldn't be fair of me to write this review without first painting a picture of my account. About 12 years ago, I suffered quite a dramatic back injury. I used to play competitive Football, and I suffered a career ending injury one fateful day. A helmet to helmet collision left me with an appalling back injury that ended any hopes of my continuing to compete at a collegiate level. After my injury and after quite a long period of rehab, I was instructed to begin seeing a Chiropractor. That being said I was referred to one that I began seeing twice a week. Suffice it to say that the experience left me with the notion that Chiropractic Medicine was sub par to the dentist. When I would see chiropractor he would proceed to bend, twist, and crack me in all different directions. Yes, afterward I felt better however for only about 30 minutes at which point I would begin to suffer more pain than before I went in. After enduring 6 weeks of torture I hastily discontinued seeing my Chiropractor and never looked back.
Fast forward 12 years. I'm now edging on 31 years old, and have suffered chronic pain EVERYDAY for 12 years. I have concluded and accepted the fact that I will simply suffer from chronic pain for the rest of my life, and I just have to deal with that. Being so young, I even began seeking emotional remedies with dealing with chronic pain because I was having a hard time dealing with the fact.
On behalf of my employer in which I was representing at a car show in Santa Clara a few weeks ago, I noticed directly across from me a booth for New Hope Chiropractic where Dr. Stefanie Yuen was meeting and greeting prospective patients. She had this eye catching device that measured your standing posture in which I saw her test a few people. My curiosity got the best of me!! I figured what the heck, why not go say hello. (Keep in mind my thoughts of Chiropractic medicine.) Making a long story longer (^_^) my first impression of Dr. Yuen was that of pure professionalism and sincerity. I explained my ailments, and she suggested that I call her for an appointment, so a couple of weeks later I did.
Here is where it gets good. We started with a consultation where I explained my conditions, and the pain that I suffer. She then began to examine my spine, and let's just say she found that we had A LOT of work to do. After completing our consultation, she gave me her professional opinion, and told me should I decide to seek her treatment what she intended to do. So I scheduled that appointment.
When I showed up for my first adjustment, we sat for a few more moments. Dr. Yuen sat me down for an educational enlightenment of what she would do today, how she would do it, how it would benefit me, what long term commitments she had for my recovery, and what I need to do in order to make it work. She then briefed me on her background as a professional, and even told me a little about herself to make me as contented as possible. She was very candid in the fact that she was committed to my health and wellness, and that as long as we continued to work together that I would begin to see results. MIRACULOUSLY after my first adjustment I felt better than I ever have within the past 12 years.
New Hope Chiropractic is aptly named, because for once in my life I have a new hope for my better health. I've been to about 5 treatments so far and I've never felt better since before my accident. There is no twisting, bending or cracking. All adjustments are done using device called an Activator which is quite therapeutic.
Dr. Yuen is the type of professional who does what she does because she genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. Truly, she is committed to her patients. Her professionalism, knowledge, diligence, commitment, and skill have far exceeded my expectations as she has given me that new hope that I've so longed for in my life since my accident, and has far put to rest my mal-opinion of chiropractic medicine.
I highly recommend Dr. Stefanie Yuen to everyone. Whether you are suffering pain now and need treatment, or feel fine, and wish to continue to lead a healthy life then just go see her. You'll thank yourself for it after. read more
