Reviews are from 2018-I was there in last week- 2025-- no explanation of the spray tan process and wouldnt listen to any questions I had. From the moment I walked in, no greeting, no smile, no courtesy. Just short answers and scowling faces. Customer service is horrible! The owner should send in some secret customers to get a real view of how people are being treated. From someone who has never had a spray tan, I was extremely uncomfortable. Spray tan the day before a holiday is not recommended! I actually wouldn't recommend it for any day. Spotty in places. My toes and some of my fingers look dirty. My face is darker than any other part of my body. One leg is darker than the other. I followed all of the instructions and it still looks horrible! read more

Three weeks ago I called to ask about a spray tan. I told them I have never had a spray tan and was looking for a trial before my wedding. She said I could get the by one get one for $55 and I said yes and she said she would mark me down for that. Two weeks ago I went in for my trial and I just paid like normal. The girl who gave my spray tan was amazing. She was so sweet and everyone loved my tan. She made me feel comfortable since I have never tanned before. The other day I went in again and asked for the other half of my special. They said that I paid $42 for the first tan and I am no longer a new member so I do not get the special. That is fine. I probably misunderstood or the girl on the phone was misunderstood. The reason I didn't give a higher review is that when I was talking to my sister on if I still wanted the tan the girl working said to the other girl, "she doesn't know if she wants to get the tan because it is too expensive." It isn't the price. It is because I felt misled and no one wanted to work with me or give me the benefit of the doubt. I was only getting it because it is my wedding day so I want the very best for everything. And I don't care enough to pay $90 with my 2 tans. Alas, make sure that you know what special you are getting. All girls who work at tanning salons are beautiful women who yeah probably are snooty but you have to be nice because you tip them before your tan... Overall Bodibronze gives great tans and I will look gorgeous! But still wanted to review my experience. read more

I got hosed down with spray tan by BodiBronze the week of my wedding. I did it as close as possible to the wedding before I had to leave town--about 4 1/2 days prior. I told the lady I was doing it for my out of town wedding on that Saturday. She gently chastised me, saying, "We really recommend you do it 2 days or less before the wedding." I told her that I wouldn't sue them if my tan faded in the 4 1/2 days before the wedding, so I sure wasn't going to drive 8 hours to get a spray tan. Then I said, "Now, hose me down, woman!" Not really. BodiBronze is a nice place...very professional and spa-like. They're also very expensive, which is to be expected for airbrush tanning. I believe a full body "light" tan cost me $60 with a tip and a bottle of some sort of moisturizing cleanser that's supposed to help keep your tan's tone even. Since spray tans only last a week or two, it could definitely bore a hole in your wallet. As for the experience? You get as naked as you want to get. This is with the understanding, of course, that if you wear a bra or undies, you get a tan line of wherever those undergarments fall. Since my dress was strapless, I bared the boobies to some poor lady at BodiBronze. I'm not particularly concerned with nudity, but BOY....there is something about standing there with your arms and legs outstretched (like you're about to do jumping jacks) with a perfect stranger kneeling down and making sure every square inch of bare skin is covered with tanner. Awwwwk-waaaard. The tan was beautiful. It was even, not bizarrely dark or orange, and lasted about a week. Word of advice? If you wake up the week of your wedding to two bats flying around your room and need to get a round of rabies shots and the nurse puts a bandaid on your arm after you get the shot? Take off the bandaid. Otherwise, you will be like me and wake up the morning of your wedding, still wearing a bandaid and remember that, oh shit!, you probably have a bandaid-sized pale mark on your arm. BodiBronze trains its employees in airbrushing technique and their application is flawless. The salon is lovely and the tanning room is large - the size of a large bedroom. This is important to contrast with a booth or worse, tiny curtained-off area of the sort that other places might use. I tan nude and this is a comfortable experience thanks to the experienced and professional technicians at BodiBronze. The most uncomfortable part of the process is the cool spray down your back. There were rarely any areas of over-saturation and there were no issues with the hands or feet, as is commonly a problem with less capable technicians. The equipment is clearly professional-grade. Since I moved from Champaign in the last month, I have had two miserable experiences with airbrush tanning. I have seen tiny airbrush sprayers the size of a 12-oz bottle into which the solution was pumped. The effect from the non-professional grade equipment was a very wet-spray that the technician had to constantly wipe away with her gloved hand - this was considered part of her technique. I highly recommend BodiBronze. I have used less expensive salons for airbrush tanning and I believe you will get precisely what you pay for. I am a fair-skinned redhead and having the tan be as dark or as light as I would like was never a problem. The tan lasted about a week and I received many compliments on the incredible natural-looking results. read more

I have been craving a good, all over spray tan. Not knowing of any, I went to the "chain" tanning salon and stood in a booth that sprayed and was awful! I was introduced to Bodi Bronze Sunless Tanning, spray tanning, last week. I went in today for a tan. It was absolutely fabulous. This young lady took time to explain in detail what your options were, she explained what she was going to do and was very professional in the process. This was a very professional tanning procedure. The equipment was so good -- no overspray as it was taken out a huge vent right away. The tech was super professional and did the best job -- I don't think I've ever had a better spray tan. They could do levels of tan so a person doesn't have to look coppertone if it doesn't match their natural complexion. Two different types, too - one that dried faster and the other an older technology that still works fine but just takes longer to dry/penetrate the skin. I will gladly go back for more. read more

I would highly recommend making your way over to Body Bronze! I have had nothing but great overall experiences when going. The staff is very friendly, professional, and well trained. The environment of the salon is spa like and very homey-its easy to feel comfortable. Every spray tan that I have gotten has been even and natural. My color has never been overly dark or orange. They have a variety of shades to chose from so every complexion can receive a natural looking tan. Every time I walk out of the salon I feel satisfied. I usually get the quick spray. I bought a radio refunds certificate to use at BodiBronze. The certificate was for $20 and they were running a Halloween special for an original full body spray for $25 (which is why I bought the certificate). However, I was unable to use my gift certificate on the special, only on full priced spray tans. The technician did an amazing job, although it was super duper awkward (for me, she didn't make it awkward). She was extremely professional and friendly the entire time. She didn't make me feel self-conscious about my body and I would definitely go back and would recommend to a friend. The spa itself is lovely. OH! I've never had trouble getting color by tanning with a regular tanning salon until recently.... I began to develop red splotchy patches after my last two tanning sessions...and after talking to Kristin, Karin, and Teri, we determined it must be the type of tanning lotion I had been using. The main ingredient in Bronzer lotions, DHA, seemed like the stand-out candidate for my problem... it dries your skin out but gives you the dark color you desire. I switched to an Intensifier lotion, DHA free, and it seemed to help.... slightly. I didn't feel as itchy, or see the large red patches as I had before, but they were still there, bothering me just as much. Kristin had suggested her patented products by BodiBronze.. a paraben-free body wash, to be specificly smooth out the problems with my skin, from the inside - out. NOT ONLY DID IT HELP... My giant hive-like splotches were vanishing before my eyes an hour after I had decided to listen to Kristin's advice. TO THIS DAY... I don't take color OR SKIN CARE advice from anyone other than the BEACH BUNNIES at TheBEACH- SUNandSPA. read more
