Bode's is under new ownership. They have really put in a lot of effort to update the interior of the building. It is bright and well lit. We had the corned beef hash and the avocado toast. Both very tasty and large proportion. Extensive menu. Fresh ingredients. A great breakfast.

This was my first and last time at Bode's Corned Beef House and it was pretty darn good. It is sad that they will be closing after many years in the next 2 weeks. Please go and support the staff as they lose their jobs before the holidays. Our waitress was a sweet older lady, the one you look forward to in an old diner move. Of course I had to get their corned beef, since it is in the name. I ordered the eggs and corned beef with a side salad. The waitress whipped up a fresh batch of ranch dressing, just for us. My friend got the French dip, which looked awesome too. The restaurant itself looks like an old diner up front and a family restaurant in the back. It has an old school feel and the service to match. It is a shame that they are going away. Thank you Bode's.

Running errands nearby and realized I was hungry, so I searched near downtown Plymouth and found that there was an actual deli restaurant that escaped my knowledge for years. The place looks cute from the outside and the inside is quite antiquated in a charming way. I was surprised when I walked in and saw virtually nobody here except for one diner. I ordered a corned beef sandwich which came with chips and a pickle. In addition I asked for iced tea, bringing the total to $20 for everything (not bad for a sandwich shop these days). The corned beef was pretty much on par with other delis I've been to, so it didn't blow me away. But I was very satisfied with the meal overall and glad this place is not too far from me.

    Box car corned beef

Difficult to give a rating. *The "box car" , see photos, was a traditional reuben subbing cole slaw for the sauerkraut. Usually restaurant chips aren't good, but these were. I would rate the food a four or five star. * Cheryl, the server was very attentive. * Downgrades are wooden unsealed , customer tables. Age of interior walls and windows not easy to keep spotless. If you have a pickup with the long bed, you will have a difficult time in the parking lot. Also, my pet peeve of having to pay with a QR code.

Love this place. Great staff. Great food. Train tracks. What more could you want. Oh... poutine. Got that too!

New updated, fresh and CLEAN interior

So glad Bodes has reopened under new ownership as of February 2026! The place has been updated and is now CLEAN and fresh. The food and service are excellent. Highly recommend a visit! The corned beef is out of this world.

Famous corned beef hash and incredible scrambled eggs with cheese.

DO NOT PASS BY BODE'S! This place keeps up a Plymouth standard as a local hotspot with decades and decades of excellence, it's been rumored, in its specialty, corned beef. I've only ever had one meal here, this one, and the corned beef hash stands up to that reputation. The scrambled eggs were incredible as well! (The only thing that might better this restaurant is locally sourced jam and honey as well as caraway seeds in the rye bread but that's small-potatoes-type nitpicking.) Service: Excellent -- polite and quick! Liam did a great job. Ambience: Old time setting with fun kitsch posters and placards from the old days filling the walls and old-time restaurant furniture creates a comforting, fun ambiance of the 1950s. Food: Corned beef hash cannot be beat. I got the crispy edges, my girlfriend got the non-crispy version and both were excellent. Scrambled eggs with both Swiss and American cheese were perfect, the best I've ever had! Melty cheese making it moist and no chunks of cheese, and I've never had that in a scrambled egg dish in a restaurant. Can't wait to come again and enjoy other versions of the corned beef, especially the Reuben and perhaps even a corned beef or Reuben omelette.

The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

They have a pretty nice size menu with a lot of great options. A cool thing about their menu is their sliders. You get to choose whether you want a small or a full size. I added a salmon fillet. It was so fresh and delicious - and VERY filling! I also ordered the calamari for an appetizer and that was pretty tasty as well. I never expect stellar service when you have a big party. The issue I had was the food. It was mid at best. First it came out at all different times which I think is not ideal. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and it said it was grilled chicken.... There is absolutely NO way this was grilled chicken, it was canned chicken shredded to the max. That was disappointing because I was thinking it was grilled chicken cut into strips or chunks and then put in the wrap. I assumed incorrectly. For me it was very sub par, for the money I would rather go elsewhere. If you're going just for drinks, then maybe it's a decent spot. I had wine so nothing too adventurous.

It was slow on the restaurant side, likely because it was a Monday, but the bar side was full of what looked to be "regular" patrons. Our server was really nice and very patient with my fiend and I. I ended up getting the sliders with chips. When they arrived, I started eating the first one. The buns are soft and they were served hot. That first bite was great! As I ate more into the center (these are not small patties), I found it to be slightly medium-medium well. I didn't eat the very center and didn't worry about it. Once I bit into the second one, though, I found that it wasn't cooked nearly enough so I just ate the edges since I had already ate most of the first one. Despite having eaten most of it, the server and Manager made everything right. I'll be back to try some of their other menu items since they had quite a bit I wanted to try.

It took over 30 minutes to get our burgers. They weren't full, so I don't know what took so long. When I got my hamburger it was so undercooked, I would consider it rare. It had a fully red interior. I had trouble finding my waiter, as he did not return to check on our food. I finally flagged to him down, and told him the issue. He replied that it is just how they cook it. Now, mind you, my father's hamburger was cooked properly, and was pink only in the center. I was asked if I wanted something else. I did, but it had taken so long to get the food, that I didn't want to wait another 10-12 minutes. I sent the hamburger back, uneaten. The waiter took the burger off the bill, and acted like he was doing me a favor for doing so. Terrible food, terrible service!

On our second visit, we tried the Rigatoni Caprino and the Chicken Marsala Florentine. Of the two, we liked the rigatoni better. It had that super red sauce on it.
